Husband & I went in this afternoon for the first time and had a wonderful experience! I had a vanilla latte, and a Greek omelet, and he had ½ order of beef grape leaves and the veal in broth pierogies. Everything tasted amazing! It was $ 35 but we wanted to try a few different things on the menu since we’d never been before. It was well worth it! We will definitely be back soon!

We have recently retired in Melbourne. We love great food. Oh are we happy to have discovered this bakery and café. No need to travel around the world to find fabulous food and pastries. Plus a great ambience and service. Meet the owner and baker if you can. She’s delightful. Just a wonderful place to eat and talk and be.

What a great place and why have I never been here before? Went for lunch and my sister and I ordered two different soups and split crepes. The soups were homemade and awesome. Serving sizes were huge. The owner Igor waited on us and was so attentive and personable. We purchased strudels and cookies to go and they didn’t disappoint. Loved the antique China and general ambience. Go. Enjoy.

Maybe my expectations were too high when I saw all the 5 star ratings. I had some crepes — which were good but not mouth watering. Maybe if I tried some crepes with some filling it would have been a better experience but I doubt it. I also had 2 eggs, 4 slices of bacon and a small serving of potatoes. The meal was very plain. The bacon was as meager as bacon can get and the eggs were on the smaller side and over cooked(despite my request for over-easy). The pastries looked good but at those prices, I’m not sure I’d get any. I didn’t get the impression that they were made fresh that morning either. You’d think something as simple as this meal wouldn’t be expensive but I ended up paying over $ 20! I left hungry, unimpressed and disappointed.

Ah… A restaurant I could highly recommend to anyone. Breakfast and lunch. Husband and wife team provide warm friendly atmosphere, fantastic food, bakery goods. Owner has been known to play his guitar for the patron who express an interest.

We found this place based on the reviews and it certainly lives up to its reputation. My wife and I had crepes; one sweet order and one savory order. I had the beef and mushrooms, perfect balance of seasonings. My wife had the berry and cheese which was sweet enough to satisfy but not sugary. Excellent meal, great coffee, excellent service. Highly recommended.

Not your usual breakfast place. Yes t hey do have what they call the«Two Egg and Bacon breakfast» however this is more European style. First is a VAST selection of Crepes, both savory and sweet. Second is a large selection of Omelettes. Ans to top it off Fresh baked pastries. I had the Crepes with Smoked Salmon, green Onion, Cucumber with a garlic Yogurt Sauce. DELIGHTFUL! My wife had the two eggs, bacon. and everything comes with fresh rosemary crusty bread and rye bread. If you’re in Melbourne beach try this place!

What a nice surprise! The lovely proprietors of this establishment have really provided a personal and special experience. I had my doubts when I saw the menu– it was so broad! How could it ever work? That being said, we had a lovely and diverse brunch here. Valery brought us some table-side steamed milk for our simple coffee, I had pierogis and my boyfriend had an omelette. Solid food, lovely people, great experience. I wish I lived in the neighborhood and could try more things on the menu.

Hubby and I ventured in here on the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. What a find! They opened at 8am, and we arrived at just about 8:05am to find the place about 2⁄3 full already. The owner was behind the counter, and greeted us when we arrived, requesting that we sit anywhere we’d like. Service overall was prompt and courteous, and we especially noticed how the owner visited every table at least one time. Such a nice touch! The food had a homemade flair, as did the overall feel of the place — We felt like we were guests in someone’s home for breakfast. I ordered the Greek omelet while my husband ordered the French toast(with a berry sauce) and a side of plain crepes. I loved my Greek omelet that was really more like a frittata, and while my husband really liked his French toast, the disappointment was that the only syrup they offered was Aunt Jemima. The menu items are all made to order, and served on plates you might find in a European pension or B&B, but when the only syrup isn’t even homemade and instead is offered from a bottle of high fructose corn syrup, well, it sort of takes away from the quaint feel of the place a bit and gives a taste of «chain» to our mouths… but this place is FAR from a chain; I just wish they’d offer a good syrup solution. As others have said, the German coffee is very good. I ended up purchasing a small box of the coffee(Jacobs Kronung — very strong!) to enjoy later. I come from the land of coffee(Seattle), and tend to be picky, but really, really enjoyed this coffee! Overall, this place still gets 5 stars primarily because I’m not able to give a 4.5. I REALLY wish they’d consider providing a homemade syrup to round out the feel of the homemade breakfast!

A new venture & what a delight — starting w/coffee served in real mugs. I ordered #5 Nora’s & the cook was happy to add walnuts for me. It was a sweet treat without being too sweet. The lovely tang of the raspberries & strawberries shine through. Perfect balance. My husbands Polish heritage drew him to the Pirogues in broth(veal). Delicious & unusual for him as his family always sautéed them in butter. Loving Phở I immediately was drawn to it !

Went there for breakfast since beachside café was closed. Best thing that could have happened because this place is a gem. The best coffee, amazing crepes(had mine with cheese, strawberries and berry sauce) and delicious omelets(boyfriend had his with mozzarella, spinach and tomato). They also bring you freshly baked Rosemary bread after you order. The owner Igor makes sure to talk to you and that you enjoy yourself. We even grabbed some savory pastries to go for lunch, which were also amazing. We’ll be back, that’s for sure!

This place was fantastic! The pastry was phenomenal; light and flaky without being oily in the least. The Crepes were also tremendous; they had fruit based Crepes, savory Crepes, and sweet Crepes. We also ordered their cappuccino and it was good but not great. It is certainly worth drinking coffee with their food but the pastries and Crapes are truly where it’s at. On top of the high quality of the food the owner was friendly and really tried to connect with her customers. So many people walked in and she greater them by name, asked them how they were doing and what their plans for the day were. If you are in the area and are looking for some great food with a wonderful personality definitely stop in.

So delicious– from the moment We walked in you felt like family. I got the chicken«samosa» pie with Zuppa Toscana soup. My husband tried the crepes with meat, mushroom and gravy. So incredibly good. They even let me try the Rosemary bread. A must have– I look forward to coming back and trying everything on the menu. Thank goodness that it happens to be across the street from my work.
