Came on a Sunday night — had two sushi rolls(striped something roll, and the softshell crab roll) both delicious and not oversauced thankfully! Had the butter lettuce salad –which was simply prepared but delicious and refreshing and nicely plated(like half of a head fanned open). Then for entrees, my husband had the roasted duck and I had the lobster hotpot. The flavor on the hotpot was delicious — but a little thick and creamy for my preference but it was still definitely a good choice. The roasted duck was also tasty, but could have been cooked a little longer on the leg to be a little more tender. The pasta underneath the duck was a little mushy, but a good texture where it wasn’t under the duck. Then for dessert we had the cinnamon sugar beignets. There was a slightly salty component to the cinnamon sugar which we really enjoyed. The mocha dipping sauce was so tasty even though the beignets were good on their own too. Service was excellent! The server(Jamie, I think) was so friendly and attentive to all the tables even though she was the only one besides the bartender. We ordered a lot of food but the dishes were well paced. It was a really enjoyable meal and evening for my husband and me. We definitely will be back! Fredricks and Bite are the two best restaurants in town for a special dinner.

I have been to many restaurants in my life, but I have never had this happen to me before. My daughter and I ate at Bites last night which was great and my daughter wanted to eat at Fredrick’s Fusion Bistro she had been there before said the food was good pricey and small portions but she wanted to Go again. We got there Wednesday night after 7 pm. There were tables empty, but the waitress said if we didn’t have reservations they could not serve us because they were understaffed. Nothing was mentioned about us coming back later or here is a drink while you are waiting until we can serve you. Note to manager if there is one; Don’t you staff according to your seating capacity and when you charge a lot for your menu at least make sure your staff is not rude to your customers. Apparently, your reviews on bad service are valid, my daughter remembered this waitress as being rude the last time she was there. Maybe she is not a waitress after all and is the owner and that is how you conduct your business. I come to Incline a lot, but I won’t return to your establishment.

Incredible flavors and wonderful presentation with small to moderate portions. This is definitely the best food in town if you are looking for a flavorable dining experience.

Wow! We’ve been in Incline 18 years and this was our first time in Fred’s. Great deal: $ 3 happy hour Icky’s, nice $ 5 duck egg rolls, good sushi, great lobster dogs, scallops dynamite were nice, and good service. Good music and décor. Sushi was good, but a bit over priced. Nonetheless, one of the best meals we’ve had in Incline. Everything was cooked perfectly, in particular the lobster dogs(I’m from New England, and used to trap fresh lobster. It’s hard to cook lobster perfectly, but they did it). We’ll be back.

The American/Asian fusion is very well expressed by chef Greg’s great taste for flavors and his eye for well plated foods. His texture and flavor combinations just blew my taste buds away. A must stop if in the Tahoe or Reno area!

The place is super cute and the service was friendly and attentive but some of the food was just okay and overpriced in my opinion. They have an eclectic menu as expected from a fusion restaurant but like many fusion places, I think this hurts the quality because of the lack of focus. My miso soup starter was good but honestly I couldn’t finish it because it was too much of a one note taste. My husband had the beet salad and it was excellent and looked great too. For dinner I opted for a few sushi rolls. I must say that I did modify them because I am pregnant so I basically got a California roll and a shrimp tempura roll. Both were mediocre because the rice was so dry. I also thought the imitation crab was not very good. Sadly I have had better California rolls from Safeway. The tempura shrimp was better but still dry even with soy sauce. My husband had the duck and it was decent. The ravioli was very good and it was accompanied by fresh veggies. Our bill with tax and tip was $ 109. I just felt we could have had a much better meal for $ 50pp.

Fantastic sushi, great ambiance, fast and good service. Bite is fabulous too, but often loud, overcrowded and long waits. Pop over to this place and you won’t regret it.

We’ve been coming here for years, love this place! The food is top notch, the service is always great and we love sitting next to the cozy fire place in the winter. Love all their sushi rolls, especially the Sea Worthy. Came here for dinner the night we got engaged and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier, then hosted a private event here the night after our wedding for family and friends. Everyone loved the food and atmosphere. Thanks Fredricks, you never dissapoint.

Ate here this past Friday with a party of 13. Although the place is small, they were able to accommodate our party and our waitress was a saint for dealing with us. We enjoyed the various appetizers and entries we ordered. The lobster dogs and sashimi were my favorite appetizers. Oh, must not forget the variety of drinks we ordered too. Glad to see that Federick’s had Prisoner as it was happily ordered and consumed — 2X. If I come back to Incline, next year, I will definitely come back to Federick’s again.

We enjoyed the food at Fredrick’s. No service issue or in between course lags. We ate the duck egg rolls, sashimi, and the salmon entrée(ok, sauce was a little too sweet here). Overall, everything was lovely. It is a small place so reservation on a Friday /Saturday night will be useful.

Food is just Meh and hit or miss on taste/quality with small plates. Service weak and untrained. Felt rushed to get it all ordered before we could have a drink. Atmosphere is nice, though

Some of the food was ok(3 stars) and the tuna poke was very bad.(1 star). To put it kindly, it looked like ass on a plate. I wish I had taken a photo because words cannot describe what it looked like– but essentially it was a small amount of dark, messy, mushy tuna on a small plate with two pieces of soggy«nori chips». My friend stopped me from eating it and we pushed it aside. The service was very bad. We sat at the bar and my friend ordered two saketinis, which are priced at 9.00 each. We were instructed(tersely) to order the drinks first, and then the food, even though we were starving and wanted to order our meal at the same time. When we finally were allowed to order the food(we were the only two customers at the bar, but the dining room was full) I mentioned to my friend that even though we specifically asked for soup and appetizer first, I had a feeling that it was all going to arrive at the same time(which, of course defeats the purpose of ordering an appetizer). Yep, it all came at the same time. Which not only makes for a mess of food at the bar, it is too much food to eat all at once. But it took at least 20 – 30 minutes for it to arrive, and the bartender said something about our first course having gone to the wrong table. Then they tried to give us someone else’s dessert. After we ate and received the bill,(which we had not yet requested) my friend noticed that we were charged 30.00 for the two drinks, and questioned the bartender about it. I couldn’t see the drink prices when we ordered from the menu, but I could see the check(didn’t have my reading glasses with me) and 15.00 per drink(even in Incline Village) did seem overpriced. The bartender answered my friend’s question by stating that the sake that she used in the drinks was top shelf. My friend suggested that the bartender might have wanted to check in with us on that if there was going to be that much of a price increase(80%), when we thought we were both ordering a regular saketini, not a TOPSHELF saketini. Of course, none of this is mentioned on the menu, nor did the bartender inform us that she was giving us a higher priced version. As a 25 year veteran of the service industry, I would never, ever assume that the customer wants the most expensive option available unless I check in with them first, or they have told me that«only the best will do». After we were mulling over the check, I, too decided to speak to the bartender about it and asked her why she thought it was ok to keep the drinks on the check. She said that it would be «an insult» to the customer to ask if the higher priced drink was ok. At this point she rolled her eyes and my friend called her out on the eye-rolling, which is when things escalated to being downright unpleasant. Excuse me? Not only is the customer always right, especially when the restaurant is making a mistake and overcharging, but to argue, posture and react angrily to being challenged is completely unprofessional. Please note: As a customer, we have EVERY right to send back food that is incorrect, not fresh, or bad– and we have EVERY right to question an overcharge on a bill. I asked her if she was going to adjust the bill and she huffed and puffed and did some more eye rolling and then stomped off to adjust the bill, saying something to the effect of that she guessed she had to. Because in her mind, it was OUR fault that we were overcharged? Uh, yes– you have to. When you overcharge two customers for a drink and don’t give them the option of saying«yes» or «no» to the 80% price increase, you certainly are obligated to inform the customer. OR, you give them the drink at the same price, since you are saying that it was your only option. I should add that the bartender did finally adjust the check to reflect a discount of 15.00, by taking one drink off the bill. It’s unfortunate that she took the attitude that she did, and didn’t just bill us 9.00 each for a drink to begin with. It would have resulted in a much more pleasant experience for all of us, and I would have been more inclined to look at it as just an off night, as opposed to being sure that I will never return, nor will I recommend Frederick’s to friends or clients. I’ve questioned the restaurants in Incline Village many times– as a chef, a service professional and(customarily) an unusually high tipper– and I still wonder why the service here is so atrocious, and the food is incredibly mediocre– particularly when the season is so short. Don’t the restaurants here want to cultivate locals? Apparently not.

The place is ridiculously loud. When ever I think about eating here again, I will think first about how I could hardly hear myself think, much less have a conversation with the people I came to eat here with. The staff was pretty much on top of it, except as others have said, the kitchen is very slow. The food was very good albeit a bit on the high side for the atmosphere(loud). My preteen daughter exclaimed«that’s all you get for 30 bucks!» when her entrée was served. Take that for what it is, it’s a lot of money compared to her allowance. It made me laugh though, because she never says stuff like that. Anyway, I might give the place a second shot, but I would go in an off time when hopefully it is a bit less crowded, therefor hopefully less loud and quicker with the food.

Been to Fredericks about 7 times over last 4 months(Jan-April 2014) and I have only great things to say. I have only had the Pink Cadilac & Turf n’ Surf sushi rolls because they are so good I can’t keep but order them each time. Service is great, always welcomed with a smile. It’s a small seating area with about 10 at the bar and 25 – 30 at tables with I favor because your meal gets more attention compared to larger restaurants.

Came by for happy hour on a Friday. Food is excellent! Also tried a couple drinks including the ginger cider and the ginger martini, both were yummy! I started with the scallops dynamite on HH which were very tasty, just the right amount of heat with a little grapefruit to cleanse your mouth after each bite. And also I had to get the famous lobster dogs which aren’t on happy hour but they are delicious! I was by myself so these 3 ‘dogs’ were extremely filling! Looking forward to checking out their half off sushi night on Thursdays!

Decent place for the area. The fusion aspect = artistic style to foods(see pictures). Items are pricey, but typical for this type of ambiance. Filet mignon was $ 32. But looked more like a stew than steak with gnocchi and side of spinach next to it(see picture). I would like to see a larger menu since menu items are limited. Servers were pleasant.

My gf and I had a wonderful meal here last week during our visit to the Tahoe area. Day of week: Thursday Time: approx 6pm Reservation: No Service: Our server was very attentive. He made sure our water glasses were always full, and he checked in during each course to make sure we were enjoying our food. Also, we had an issue with a loud party sitting at the bar very near us, and the server quickly sympathized and moved us to another corner. Food: All of the food we tried was really good. We tried each other’s dishes, so I’ll give highlights from all 6 dishes here. duck confit egg rolls: I liked the presentation in an open wrapper so the filling was visible. Nicely crispy. roasted duck: beautifully roasted, pecan-glazed leg and thigh served with seasonal vegetables and a pillowy butternut squash ravioli. The pasta was under the duck and veggies, so I couldn’t tell if it was one big raviolo or several ravioli, but the pasta layer covered most of the plate. The flavors really came together. «It tastes like Christmas» to quote my gf. chocolate cake: flourless cake with raspberry coulis and Frangelico whipped cream. Wonderfully rich and bittersweet, nicely complimented by the perfect amount of fruit and whipped cream. filo wrapped crab: killer appetizer! The filo pastry, the buttery sauce, and the crab add up to a lot of richness, but the citrus in the sauce helps cut through the richness and balance the dish beautifully. seafoot hot pot: the seafood was perfectly cooked, and the broth was very flavorful with a definite heat. My gf would have preferred rice instead of the [I think] fettuccine noodles, but I guess that’s the«fusion» in this dish. beignets: covered in cinnamon-sugar(actually a little too much — had to shake some off) and served with a delightful buttered mocha sauce. The sauce coated the beignets very well. I’d go back without hesitation and highly recommend!

Get a reservation or get seated at the bar where you can get a full dinner menu. Salmon perfectly cooked and Sea Food hot pot was spicy and delicious. Good, creative menu. The absence of bottled mineral water on a Saturday night kicks one star down. The space cozy and it will become our regular spot from now on when I’m at Tahoe beautiful North Shore.

came here while staying at hyatt timeshare where we visit often, saw great reviews on Unilocal so had to try! Sashimi appetizer was melt in your mouth and great quality, but portion was extremely lacking! Next was the rolls, pink caddy and turf and surf, both amazingly fresh and so many great flavors! For entrees we have salmon(outstanding) cauliflower purée(super rich and did not taste any cauliflower) beet salad was great!
