Nail Tech

Been coming here for about 10 years now — I started when my mom got married and I imagine I won’t stop until I’ve moved out of San Diego (at least 5 years from now). Great service, great prices and Lee always understands when I’m in a hurry. It’s great :)

I have been coming here for about a year now and wouldn’t go anywhere else! The ladies are all very nice and do an excellent job every time! Can’t beat the price either. The shop is small so I would suggest going on a week day or calling ahead if you plan on getting shellac or acrylics on weekends. :)

I love this little nail tech shop. They do great pedis, and the nail techs are so nice and funny, my advice would be to go on a weekday, its not packed at all.

I have been getting my nails done here for five years plus. The owner Lee and her staff are the best you will find around! They are thorough, friendly and very competitively priced. I always leave happy with the job they do. From eyebrow waxing to full sets to spa pedicures, they are the bomb. And when they massage your feet during the pedicures and/​or manicures, oh boy! Never dissapointed with their service, ever once.

Love ! Great price and very pleased with my nails :) definitely coming again. It was a slow process but it’s so worth it!

I just moved to IB and this place is close to my new home so I thought I would try it. Mistake. The place is so small two people can’t even pass at the same time when trying to get to the spa for a pedicure. They have limited knowledge of nail design and can’t do anything flashy. The place is not very clean. Dirty towels on the floor between the pedicure station. They so no take credit cards but they also don’t inform you of that before they start. I needed to walk to the bank to hit the ATM and I had forgot flip flops, they gave me these crappy paper slippers that tore to crap as soon as I walked out the door. They are cheap but my toes and nails had polish all over and it looked like I had done them myself. Not what I expect when I pay to have them professionally done. OH and there’s some random dude in there that is the «helper». He would go back and forth buffing my nails and stuff while the other lady did my fill. There was no room and they kept bumping me. It was just a crappy experience.

Love this salon cause it’s local and inexpensive. Lee the nail technician that sits directly by the door is the best by far. No one but Lee is trusted to do my eyebrows…

I love the lady here. She always remembers me and my sister even if its been months since we’ve gone. They do an amazing job. I always get compliments when i get my nails done here! Its a really small shop but I love it.

I called to see if this place offered a pink and white set, i told the owner I was going to come in 30 min. I ended up not going since i was caught up in somw important things and I had 5 miss calls from Lee asking me where I am. She has caller ID. She seemed very desperate for customers, when I wasn’t sure about coming she kept lowering the price for a pink and white set, which «originally» cost $ 35 she eventually lowered it to $ 20. SKETCHY???

I’ve been coming to Nail Tech for several years now. Mostly because it was close to home & I never had an issue. The manicurist Lee has always done a really good job on my nails so even though I’ve moved approximately 30 min away, I continue to come here.
What I’ve noticed now that I do not like & it has prompted me to find somewhere else is that they have this guy there all the time. If Lee is busy, she’ll have him start filing your nails so that your forced to stay and wait for her. If a customer comes in & they are all busy they harrass the customer to stay. While I was there, a customer decided to wait for an available girl but when she stood up to go to her car, Lee made the creepy guy follow her to make sure she really did go to her car and not snuck out. The customer stood about 4 times getting close to the door and every time they spoke their language and the creepy guy got close to the door.
Another customer walked in & when Lee told her they only accepted cash (I don’t like this either), the customer said she would be right back cause she needed to go to the bank. Well once again, the creepy guy followed her all the way outside.
I do not like that they make the guy work on nails when I’m pretty sure he has not license to do so. It makes me uncomfortable to be touched by him cause he’s always starring and he smells.
Even though I love getting my nails done here, I don’t like their agresive way they conduct business now. It’s a shame becuase Lee does a pretty good job but if she gets ride of that creepy guy I’ll come back :)

THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD. I came here and got my nails done and they last a very long time. Their spa experiences are wonderful and they are very friendly. They actually take their time and try to get the job done right and will make your nails look great. I would recommend this nail shop to anybody. I’ve been to this nail shop twice because i live so far away but when i do go, they do a excellent job. You should really check them out.

I’ve been going here for about 2 years now. Lee, the manicurist who is stationed right next to the front door it the BEST of them all.
THE GOOD– she takes her time and the nails last a VERY LONG TIME. I can go up to a month between fills… yes, my nail will be at the tip on my finger… but it will NOT FALL OFF !!
THE BAD– she takes her time… and this means you will be there for well over an hour for a fill.
They have a small (and ugly) selection of nail designs.
When she notices that i have a fresh pedicure… and knows i didn’t get it at her shop. i get lectured.
THE UGLY– i was once getting my nails done there and Lee called a taco shop to order some food to go, when the taco guy answers she put the phone in my hand and had me place the order for her… while she worked on my nails… yes. true story.
when i need fast service and a sic nail design i go to 54^th & El Cajon… all other times… this is where you will find me… getting my nails did !!!

I’ve never gotten a «full set» here, since I hate wearing them, but I loved going to this place. I used to go to City Nails off of Saturn/​Coronado, but one I found out that one of the techicians moved over to Nail Tech, I immediately followed.
I’ve gone to those other «high end» places like Happy Nails where they charge A GRIP, but don’t even do that great of a job. Whenever I go to Nail Tech for a ped, I always leave happy and satisfied. The pedicures last long, and they take their time on you… doing a thorough job. Knowing that I got more bang for my buck, leaves me happy… instead of being rushed at a busy, pricey Nail Salon where they’re all about volume and getting you out… but the quality of their work sucks!

I used to get my nails done here when I lived in IB and man what a mistake! I liked going here because my nails never fell off when i would get them done here. But once i got a REALLY bad infection on my finger that hurt soooo bad for like weeks and oozed all kinds of nasty stuff and i got a wart looking thing on my thumb next to my nail that wont go away… i need to see a doctor. i know i got it there!!!
Im so nervous to get my nails done now and embarrassed… tramatized… :(
