Best kept secret in Ib they host an amazing tap take over every Thursday by local breweries. When that’s not happening they have a incredibly knowledgeable team! But no one stands out more than Cj! This man knows his beer yet can still sling a well balanced cocktail. If you find your self in South Bay ask for Cj! This man knows his stuff!!!

Great beer, wine, and liquor selection. The food was on point, try the Carnitas Wrap. The people working were awesome and friendly. Glad to have a place like this in IB.

Always wanted a place like this in IB. Amazing beer selection– love that they do new tap releases. Here for the Belching Beaver tap tonight. Great specials & CJ is knowledgeable & funny! Servers have also been so sweet every time we’ve come. Loving it. Come support this place! !!!

IB Public House. Is a breath of fresh air. Great New Look. CJ is one of the best mixologist, around. And the Ruben is smoking.

We have been wanting to come to this bar since they opened bc of it’s inviting open window. It happened to be Kobe’s last game with the Lakers so we called to see it they would be showing it. The guy I spoke to (James) was really friendly and said yes they would be showing. We walked on over and the ambiance is nice! We ordered some chips, guac and salsa and it was so good! Whoever makes the guac and salsa got 5 stars from me bc I’m really picky with this I ordered the Roast beef hoagie with a side of slaw and omg it was delicious! NOT your typical greasy and gross bar food. This was fresh and the roast beef was so tender. The bread was a perfect crisp! The slaw was nice and fresh too. We really enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back! Oh and our server Jess was super sweet, friendly and didn’t forget about us. Something we totally look for when we eat out

They have 20 rotating craft beer taps, plus bottles & cans, a full bar, and wine. If you want something to drink, and can’t find something here, then you’re just not all that thirsty. The food menu is small (breakfast all day on the weekends, street taco appetizers, sandwiches & wraps), but inexpensive. Give the carnitas wrap a try! Happy Hour specials are nice ($ 2 off draft beers, $ 1 off well drinks & wine, ½ off apps), and they have discounts for Active Duty/​Retired Military & first responders – just ask the bartender/​server!
The tv behind the bar is 65″ so big enough for whatever sporting event is on, plus 4 other flat screens and a projection tv that they use one wall for. The seating is good for groups with a row of seats that looks out on to Palm Ave & a small patio if you want to sit outside (will be GREAT when those Santana’s hit in the summer/​fall). The staff is friendly & really want to make sure that you’re enjoying the bar and whatever it is you’re drinking.

IB Public House is a unique addition to Imperial Beach. The inside is mesh of comfort and style along with a relaxed atmosphere. This is a place where people can gather for good food, craft beer, sports on several televisions or cool music, and a staff that cares about customers. When you go in… ask for bartender Red… she’s funny, knowlegable and really goes out of her way to make customers feel welcome. Go Red!!!

I’ve been hearing about this new craft beer bar in IB, so I decided to go in and check it out. I was greeted right away by the sweetest bartender, Jessica. I personally do not know much about craft beer, so I asked for some suggestions. She asked me what kind of beers did I normally drink, and I told her that I am a fan of sweet beers. So she said she had the perfect ones in mind. She brought back a taster of Lattitude 33 honey hips, and their new Blood Orange. Both of them were amazing! So it was a tough choice. I ended up getting both! The bar had a very fun vibe, great music, and the décor was awesome! The bathroom floors are pennies! You guys definitely need to check this place out! Ask for Jessica, she’s the best!

It is a great idea for a trendy bar. The only problem is the menu is terrible. Also you can not make substitutions. For example: I wanted a wrap and they only had a carnitas one on the menu but they had chicken tacos. I was thinking I could get the chicken in a wrap. The waitress said absolutely not. I also wanted a tomato basil tortilla but the turkey wrap only came with a plain wrap. It was just super extra with the no’s when the customer is supposed to always be right. This is definitely not a fine dining experience. There are a lot of craft beer choices. Service and menu kinda suck. I am an IB local so I had very high hopes.

As a long time resident of Imperial beach, I was excited and looking forward to this new hot spot, wanted to know what the buzz is all about and wasn’t disappointed. This place is 50 shades of awesome. Clean, friendly and smiley staff and above all one of the best beer selection out there. The bartender that evening was CJ and he was so knowledgeable about the beers (I think he is a cicerone), he was answering every question I had in a professional manner without making me feel like I was bothering him, you can tell he love what he does. He was telling me how they bring a new tap every Thursday, wow, wow. Keep up the good job you guys, I can’t wait to come back, thanks a lot

Absolutely horrible service. Bartenders are too caught up in conversation with eachother to do their effin job. After a couple beers from the horrible selection had to wait a half hour for a glass of water. Coronado Brewing on Seacoast has beer that doesn’t suck and their servers are amazing. Don’t waste your time even thinking about going to IB Public House.

been here twice and not thoroughly impressed. Its very clean and nice inside and the beer selection is good, but it is pricey. Both times it was super quiet and not very exciting. They started serving food so we ordered the ahi ceviche and what a DISAPPOINTMENT! it looked old and like it was poured out of a tub that they got from a Mercado down the street! the tortilla chips were something you could get out of a bag from the store and eat with pace picante. They also served our food with a nice surprise, a little curly hair… yuck! They did comp us our two drinks and food which was appreciated. I have no intention of eating there again, but i might come back for a beer. There are plenty of other spots I rather spend my time at

New favorite bar in imperial beach, extremely clean. Staff is super friendly. I can tell the owner who is really nice put his heart and soul into this establishment. iB was long over due for a nice clean place like this. Will definitely come back, the beer selection is awesome and the prices are more than reasonable. Welcome to Imperial Beach!

Great new bar! Has a very modern look and for a new bar the prices are reasonable. We came in late for our unlimited mimosas, which they do on the weekends, and they extended our time so we could get our monetary value. The music is fantastic and the vibe is great. I highly recommend it for anyone within the imperial beach area.

Came here cause a few friends were already here. Never actually even knew it existed. But decided what the hell, hopefully another good bar.
Very good beer selection! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about craft beer. Didn’t see a food me u so not sure if they serve any. A few tvs and very clean, industrial ambiance.

NFL Sunday, 1 o’clock Chargers kickoff. Crowds came in the game went on but still plenty of seats.
20 craft beers on tap, about half from outside San Diego. Full bar but don’t know if your going to get any specialty cocktails.
6 HD TV’s scattered and a projector on a wall, excellent if you sit on the patio that is dog friendly.
Food is scheduled to be added to menu in coming weeks.
Our waitress accused my friend of not paying for his drinks before he left, which he did, and then changed her story to, «I don’t know who it was, but someone form your group ordered 2 drinks». Had to confront her about our paid tabs and try and convince her that nobody within our group ordered the mystery beers. So, make sure you keep track of your order especially if you have a group of people splitting tabs.
