I have owned two homes in Idyllwild, one with a tank owned by Suburban which, therefore, tied me to their price structure. This property was an investment property which had a tank already filled to about 50 percent. One day a driver came by and filled it without my knowledge or permission and then, weeks later, disconnected and locked off my tank for non-payment of a bill which, of course, I could not receive anyway. The bill went to the already deceased seller of the property. It took months of fighting with them, including offering to allow them to remove the propane which they had put in the tank. No response of any kind. I called the regional manager who was belligerent and refused any correction to include removing the propane(which they can do). I had to contact Texaco, owner of Suburban, I think it was through the BBB of New Jersey, before the bill was waived. Suburban enjoys a very poor reputation here in the community to the point where anyone who owns his own tank is buying from outside of Idyllwild. This is what I do with my own residence where I own the tank. OWNYOUROWNTANK.
