I regret having to give this place a bad review since this may have been an isolated incident. If yes, ok, but if others say the same thing, then there is a problem.
The 3 of us were here on Saturday, May 21^st, 2016 at around 12ish. My wife and son enjoyed their meals. I also enjoyed my burger, although they did not have American cheese, so I got it plain. It did taste very good, so ok so far.
However, later that same day, I started to sense the feeling of becoming ill — headache, eyes hurting, stomach starting to act up. Being an adult male in his 50’s, I know the symptoms of food poisoning when it occurs, since this has happened at other times in my life. Needless to say, all I had eaten was this burger so I cannot say it was something else from somewhere else. I paid the price all evening and night, stuck in the bathroom.
The host/​server were all very nice, food was priced right, etc. BUT, I did get ill after eating here — no one else did, just me. And trust me and my life experience, they were the culprit not some place else, based on very simple process of elimination. I will not be returning. Sorry to have said this and do not want to hurt your business but I cannot choose to ignore making this comment either. So if no one else has the same experience, ok — bad things sometimes happen. On the other hand, if others complain, well then that is not good.

We had the best experience here… treated like queens and had a great burger to boot. Didn’t know a thing about the place but so glad we stopped. Lunch special was a burger, fries and a drink for 6.99 — worth every penny and then some. Mary, the owner, could not have been nicer. She noticed our dogs in the car and welcomed them to the front porch. She brought them treats and a big bowl of ice water! She also brought them bacon — they are forever in her debt.
At the end of the day, the food is what matters most and it was an outstanding burger. I mean outstanding. Juicy, tasty meat, perfect fixins… just a winner. Will definitely go back. Next time, I think I’ll try the Kobe burger, which is apparently a local favorite.

Good times is correct ! We were welcomed in by the sweetest lady by the name of Mary. She welcomed my wife and I through her kitchen (which was very clean. I looked at the menu for a split second when Mary suggested the coby burger with fries and a 805 draft beer on tap!!! Absolutely correct! My wife had the jalapeño burger with onion rings. BEST BURGER IN CALIFORNIA the sign should say !!! Don’t pass this place up when visiting this beautiful land !

My burger was really tasteful and the French fries were original, special cut. They also have specialty beer on tap.

We stopped in for a quick dinner after an afternoon of sledding. The service was very slow and I was concerned as I saw another patron send back his undercooked fried chicken.
We ordered the following–
French Dip, Bbq Chicken sandwich, chicken tenders kids meal, and cheeseburger.
The food arrived quicker than expected. My son complained that his burger was cold. The bun on my French dip was cold and soggy but I tried to keep a good attitude and the Au Jus was hot so it warmed up the sandwich. However, the meat was pretty lousy. The bbq chicken sandwich was also cold and not what you would expect from a restaurant that claims to be a BBQ.
My son asked a question that you don’t want to hear in a restaurant…“what’s this?“
I looked closely and realized it was a chicken bone. A chicken bone!!! In case you forgot, he ordered a cheeseburger and fries. No one at our table had chicken with bones. A chicken bone!!! I almost threw up on the table. I called for our waitress but she didn’t come over. The other waitress came over and I told her that we were leaving and not paying. She apologized and then said loudly «they are leaving».
We got out of there. We laughed in disgust as we drove down the hill.
I highly recommend this place. Recommend that, if you see it, keep on moving. Unless of course you want someone else’s chicken bones on your plate.

I like this place and the food is ok. On a good day thr soup hit the spot as was tasty. Split pea soup with ham. Really good homemade stuff. The shrimp. was a good contender but tjr frie are soggy. Yuk. Service is great and so no nonsense which was charming but a lite spotty when it came to delivery.

We stopped in because someone in town said they were the best. Well we’d never go back … The soup was ok. My turkey bacon sandwich was terrible. The bacon was cold and falling apart I think it was old. I pulled it out and tried it. Not good the bread was really dry. And the turkey was thick it looked like Bologna? My husband got a Bacon avocado burger the bun was completely burnt he had to send it back same problem with the bacon he pulled his out avocado was brown and mushy. Their product just isn’t great quality. You walk in the door there is an A on the door which the place does look clean our server was really nice and very friendly. The prices on the menu we’re pretty average not bad.

Good company good food the people here are really friendly and everything is homemade. The burgers are huge and the onion rings are great.

Their lunch specials were a good price but very small portions. For lunch expect to pay about $ 10-​$ 12. The food was decent. At lunch we were the only people in there. No wonder the place is for sale.

OMG this place has awesome food !!! They give you plenty to eat !! I will definitely come back every time I come to town. Everybody here was very friendly ! I can’t say enough good things about this place.

We went here for a late lunch/​early dinner following our 9 hour journey from Sacramento on some of California’s unmanaged, bumpy and potholed interstates! The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. The burgers we had were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious! Our server even went above and beyond to find a bandaid for me as I had cut my finger in the car on our way there! All in all, a great experience and we would go back again no problem.

Really poor service today… yelling in the back between the cook and servers (cook may be an owner?).
My to go order of two simple burgers had taken more than an hour. They sent my to go order out to someone else and tried to retrieve it. Retrieved it, sent it back and plated it for someone else.
I really wish I had video recorded this… it belongs on one of those save my restaurant shows.
I’m pretty laid back but this was extremely bad.

Super tasty «goodtimes» Burger. Great onion rings and salad. Ice Tea and great service. What’s not to like.

The service was friendly and fantastic and the food is good but nothing to write home about especially for $ 12 burgers and fries, a little overpriced. The burgers are good and worth a stop if you are hungry but nothing spectacular, The servers were awesome as soon as we walked in and kept making sure we had everything we needed.

First visit here on Friday, March 13, 2015.
This was great. We had the Blue Max Burgers and sweet potato fries, this burger was killer excellent with the beef (half pound) nicely cooked, crisp lettuce, toasted buns and the shaved cheese melting over like lava. Did I mention this is a 2 cheese burger? Cheddar & Blue cheese in one burger and yet well priced.
The place is clean with very friendly staff.
Winner.

DO NOT EAT HERE !!! I’m still traumatized from our experience here last night. The bbq ribs and chicken were absolutely disgusting. We were looking forward to having ribs and the server recommended the special — baby back ribs, beef ribs, bbq chicken so we ordered it and it was the biggest mistake! The beef tasted really fowl and old, we didn’t even eat more than one bite, the chicken was totally dry. It was a horrible experience. We complained nicely to our server but she didn’t offer us anything else or even give us a discount. To add insult to injury, the bill read $ 110.00 but she charged our credit card for $ 130.00 «pre-​tip» !! So we basically got ripped off with the bill and paid over $ 130 (plus tip, because we are nice) and left the restaurant STARVING!!! The kicker: as we were leaving, we overheard a customer complaining about their burger, and I’m assuming they probably left hungry like us too. Just a terrible experience. Lesson learned!

This place has the best burgers in the area. Really fresh tasting beef and they know how to cook a rare burger. But the best thing is the homemade pies. This is one our riding destinations from San Diego.
Follow up… if you see the 10% discount when you check in, you won’t get it. They said they are not participating and don’t know why Unilocal offers the discount.

Best burger in town!
Tried the classic burger and bowl of spicy chili. Chili is good and has a kick! Nice big chunks of meat. Burgers are tasty & juicy.
Prices are decent — $ 8 – 9 for a burger with fries. $ 6 for bowl of chili.

This is one of those mountain town eateries, that surprise you with really good food.
Everything is made fresh from the dips to the best hand made onion rings, ever. Funky, crusty and great. The owner is abrasive in only a good way. If you want to venture a few blocks away from downtown, away from where all the sheep eat then try this place.

We ate dinner here on a Friday night. The booth was dirty. I do not think the table was wiped prior to seating us. I ordered a hamburger, and my fiancé had the ribs. The burger was good, no complaints about that. The ribs were a different story. Toughest ribs ever, seriously. If you need a good jaw workout go here and order the ribs. Interestingly, they were barely warm. Clearly they were cooked ahead of time and then reheated. This is normal restaurant practice, I just don’t know why you wouldn’t cook them until tender — or even close to tender.
We won’t be going back.
