Star count, doesn’t go low enough. In this, disgusting, restaurant… tonight. We ordered the appetizer sampler. This included… cheese sticks, chicken bites, quesadilla… and spinach dip. Things seemed to be great… until we found a limp chip ALREADY floating in the dip. Had just gotten entrees. When chip was found, I contacted the Manager. She tried making excuses… chip was stuck in serving dish, dip put in on top of it… The lame excuses, further angered me. I explained that the appetizer had been recycled… from a previous diner. I further explained, that it was illegal… to have dropped our food at another table… even untouched… and then drop it at our table. To have this disgusting food, recycled to our table… ruined our evening. Unable to even contemplate eating our entrees. Will be contacting corporate about this.

Absolutely, hands down, the worst experience AFTER dinner I have ever experienced. I have never written a review right after dinner; In fact I am sitting at our hotel lobby using their computer to post this because it needs to be read. My father is on the road and we decided to drive from Utah to Idaho Falls to come visit him for a few days over the weekend and treat him to a dinner that is different from the normal hotel food. We gave him a choice of any restaurant in Idaho Falls and he conservatively chose a safe bet — Applebee’s. We were seated quickly and the first thing we did was place the electronic menu/game screen they now have on the tables up on the window sill(this will come into play later in the review). they were busy and I am sure under a lot of stress. I have briefly worked in a restaurant and know this can be stressful. Our server, Sadie, was as attentive as she could be and we understood. Dinner and dessert were served with no issues, you could tell Sadie was stressed out but that was no issue. The check came and I paid. When the receipt came out for me to sign, I glanced at the receipt and noticed that we had been charged $ 1.99 for a game. Remember that electronic menu/game screen we put on the window sill? Yep. Now this has happened once before and that’s why we had no interest in using it. I questioned Sadie and she stated it could have been a kid that ran by and touched the screen before we were seated and that I should have reviewed the receipt before I paid. she then mentioned that she was sorry and they could take care of it. I then asked if that meant that they would have to charge my card again for the adjusted amount. She did not know… Enter Chelsey(another server). Sadie asked Chelsey if this would be the case(card being charged twice). Without skipping a beat Chelsey stated«It’s because you touched the button!» She didn’t even hear the question apparently. At that point my wife was providing feedback for the use of these electronic devices at the tables and that it was feedback for Applebee’s corporate since this continues to be an issue. Meanwhile I asked for a manager. Tina(the manager) came to our table and proceeded to reiterate our responsibility in the matter effectively continuing to place blame on us, the guests of the restaurant. While we were in the middle of the conversation with the manager, Chelsey decided to again put her two cents in and stated that we should calm down and that we have been rude to all of the servers. I WASDUMBFOUNDED! First of all, we had, up until that point, only interacted with Sadie and continued to state that we were upset at what happened but it was not a reflection on the service she provided. Second of all, this must have been a defense Chelsey was playing since she was clearly out of line shouting that we «touched the button» and now a manager was involved. Bottom line, I get that Saturday nights in a restaurant can be stressful but I can tell you that for what it’s worth, Applebee’s has lost any future business simply because of Chelsey’s actions. Thank you Chelsey, for ruining what could have ended in a good night by lying and placing blame on your guests. Sadie and Tina, although it could have been handled slightly different, did an ok job. I will definitely be happy to eat at a competitor’s establishment going forward, far far away from Applebee’s in Idaho Falls.

After a terrible experience trying to get fed at MacKenzie River Pizza, we decided just to go to Applebee’s. I wasn’t expecting much but our waitress was awesome. She was on top of everything and kept checking on us. The food was good and none of my kids left hungry or upset. Great experience.

I ordered the new handheld maple bacon chicken piadini. The unlimited fries were a huge let down they tasted like frozen star bought. The sandwich was really good. Service was excellent. Overall cost for the sandwich was really high. I wouldn’t order from the new handheld menu again

What a place! The food was cold, the staff was, well imagine a spotty little teenager who only cares about how many friends she has on facebook than actually working! The potions was small for a bill of $ 160 for 3 people. I’m glad i packed some jerky! Stay away from this place and maybe they will understand they need to change to make business work… and have loyal customers

As good an Applebee’s as I’ve been to. Outstanding consistent food, with wonderful service and a manager who roams the dining room making sure everything is acceptable. A shout out to ‘Kalyee’ who served me dinner at the bar and did an absolutely outstanding job. Thank you! I ordered the Bourbon Street Steak, and as usual, it came out sizzling hot, smelling delicious, and looking fantastic. How they manage to cook these steaks to a perfect medium rare while it’s obviously still cooking on the way out is quite the feat. Love the sauteed on onions and mushrooms with the baked ‘New Potatoes’. Hard to believe this meal is only 750 calories! Outstanding!

Yes, it’s an Applebee’s chain stopping point, but we have had great food here each time we’ve stopped in for dinner. Very friendly staff, very attentive, so I give kudo’s to the management for having a place to eat that you can count on.

After a very trying day(my son was life flighted from Yellowstone to Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls), we weren’t in a picky mood as to where to eat and Applebee’s fit(it was late on a Sunday). It was good to sit, drink lemonade, have a good meal and to be waited on. The food actually was good and the waitress was very attentive. By the way, my son was released and we proceeded with our vacation.

For transparency, I am not a fan of the Applebee’s chain or of most of the other restaurant chains(e.g. Chilis, Outback Steakhouse, etcetera) that are homogenizing America and making it increasingly a rather boring place to live when compared to say Europe or Latin America, which have suffered much less from this phenomenon. That said, the food at Applebees in general is palatable if not exciting, and this location seems to be clean and have courteous service. Was there on a Sunday for a business dinner(which is how I even ended up in an Applebee’s at all) and noticed that the waitress asked if we would like«iced tea or soda» with our meal. I don’t know if that is because in this conservative, heavily Mormon town alcohol is not served on Sundays or if that was just what the waitress chose to say. I was staying in the hotel next door during my visit, so I returned late the next evening because in the course of my efforts to find out if Idaho Falls has any«nightlife» I was told Applebee’s was«da place to be» on Mondays. The place was indeed pretty full, of mostly 20-somethings, focused on karaōke going on next to the bar, and I was able to verify that they indeed serve cocktails on Mondays(although perhaps not on Sundays). I think it is pretty sad that an Applebees is «THE nightlife spot» of a city, even if it just for Monday night. But anyways, crowd was lively and people seemed to be having a good time, so that is OK. So basically this Applebee’s gets 2 stars because it is an Applebee’s. Within the limitations of the fact that this is a member of the Applebee’s chain, this particular one seems fine.

Can’t go wrong with your friendly neighborhood applebee’s. We used the«to go» service and had our food in 15 minutes.

Next to impossible to find vegetarian options here, but that’s okay, because they were(almost literally!) the *only* place open just shy of 10 o’clock on a Sunday night. We were grateful they were there, left with our bellies full and we were able to play around(the kids, that is) and make a bit of a mess without our server seeming to care. All in all a good experience.
