Their wine flavored ice creams are pretty delicious. They’ll let you try as many as you’d like also!

So good! After touring the FDR House nearby, we stopped here for food and were pleasantly surprised. The baked potato soup was great, very flavorful and not too thick. My «Danny Boy» sandwich with corned beef and cabbage was on perfectly toasted rye. I’m glad my best friend and I shared, because the wrap she had was amazing:(real) turkey, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce in a wrap that was toasted or baked or something… delicious. I had to have some of their homemade ice cream, too. Mint chocolate chip in a cone dipped in chocolate sprinkles was as good as I hoped it would be. Great find. I’ll return.

Great food! Love this Café! Wonderful atmosphere! Good service. I I go here as much as possible with my three grandchildren. The prices are reasonable and I can always get a delicious lunch for all 4 of us. The kids meal includes drink and dessert and it’s a bargain at these prices. The coconut shrimp is delicious! but anything you choose will be delicious including the burgers. I recommend this Café to anyone who wants a reasonable meal with wonderful atmosphere and good service.

Haven’t eaten food here but the home made ice cream is great. Try the wine ice cream!

(A 2 star rating means average taking price into consideration.) This is one of the best creameries that I have ever been to. The food is prepared well for what it is and prices seemed reasonable. Burgers, lobster rolls, sandwiches, ice cream shakes, and so much more… Everyone here seems very nice. For what it is, it deserves 5 stars.

The ingredients are of good quality and prices are reasonable. A food place that speaks to the people in town. Also very kid friendly. My favorite is a BLT on a ciabatta followed by strawberry ice cream in a waffle bowl with a chocolate rim.

One of main reasons my family and I keep on returning is because of the great service. No matter who is waiting on us, they are always friendly and welcoming. They serve a great selection of food and ice cream at an affordable price. Everyone leaves happy and satisfied. I personally love their milkshakes and seasonal ice cream flavored.

Great food, albeit overpriced somewhat. Nice staff, but for a small local eatery I wish it was more adorable. No sides with the sandwiches, etc.

This place is fantabulous. We ate in(I might recommend take out, it’s a little chilly because of all the ice cream), and the service was really great. They warmed up apple cider for me, twice! And it was delicious. We had appetizers, main courses and dessert. Dessert was probably the highlight, but the rest of the food was pretty good too. Their wine ice cream is freaking AMAZING. I must say though, neither my boyfriend nor I were wowed with our main courses. My chicken sandwich came on a burger bun that was definitely way too much bread. I think you should stick to the traditional items on the menu. I would have given them a 5 star review otherwise.

The food is fresh, delicious and inexpensive. The shrimp quesadillas are really, really, really good. They also sell wine flavored ice cream. Their Peach Riesling is INSANE. Real chunks of peach and you can taste the wine in every bite. I’ll be back…

We had been several times for their ice cream before, which is delicious! This time we stopped in for lunch. We walked in and they had actually lost power. They told us they could still serve us bc they had propane stoves. Yay! I had a reuben and hubs ordered a fish sandwich. My reuben was perfect. Sometimes fried fish can be soggy, but this was perfect. Crispy outside, flakey inside on a nice big roll, not a floppy hamburger bun. Both came with cole slaw which was crunchy and not too wet. We had a side of sweet potato fries, which were a bit soggy, but the honey mustard dipping sauce saved them. They were super nice and accommodating. Staff lit the rest room with a cell phone flashlight so I could use it in the dark. Checked in on plenty of times and felt welcome and like they really wanted us to return. A great spot to eat in Hyde Park — and there aren’t many.

This place has the best ice cream in the lower Hudson Valley. PERIOD. We love them, and they’re our go-to place for a cone. The flavors are wonderful, in general, but if you have a slightly sophisticated palate, you might like the wine ice cream the best(the Chocolate Cabernet is to die for). The young staff is charming, energetic and eager to please. The restaurant is small, not fancy and quite comfortable. There are loads of picnic tables outside for the summer months. My one issue is that, because of the location, it isn’t really feasible to get a cone and walk with it, but on balance, that’s a small complaint. Their sandwiches are very good, their fried clams are mostly clams and not too much fry, and their onion rings are terrific. We’re also rather fond of the sweet potato fries served with mustard sauce. Tried the fried pickles on our last visit and they were delish. It’s a great place to go for a burger and some ice cream.

Visited here after a day trip of apple picking and cider sampling. The place was clean and quiet, perfect for a relaxing quick bite. Ordered the steak sandwich, side of fries and the fried pickles. Waitress was nice and checked in on us often. Pickles — good, fries-good, steak sandwich — different but still good. The meat looked to be cut into strips, then chopped up into smaller pieces rather than thinly sliced. The peppers and onions were cooked nicely and the ratio of cheese sauce to sandwich was sufficient that it wasn’t swimming in it. Was wanting to have some ice cream after but sadly was just too full, even for a kids size cone. I did however get a small sample of the boston cream pie flavor which was awesome. I wish I had ice cream first, sandwich after. I’ll would visit again if in the area. Ice cream first, food after.

They only serve breakfast in the morning. Despite the friendly waitress assuring me that they would make an exception, the kitchen would not bend, and I was asked to pick something else 15 minutes into the wait. Clancy’s is a clean, quaint little shop that seats around 20 people inside. It was packed on a Saturday noon and we had to wait for a seat. Like everywhere else not in NYC, it has its own parking(God bless). If you’re looking for a nice sitdown place to have a substantial meal for a below twenty dollar price point, Clancy’s would suffice. I had the Paddy Melt. Something about thousand island dressing just appeals to me — like Big Mac(yea, I know.) Mushrooms, sauteed onions, cheese, juicy burger between rye bread was everything I had hoped for. J’s steak sandwich however didn’t look as succulent as the menu described. The menu did offer a lot of options for a «café & creamery» though, so it may even quench that diner crave as well. We also had the Mocha Almond Sundae with coffee icecream. It was overdosed with almonds and whipped cream, which was all good by my book but didn’t impress J. But hey… icecream sundae is an icecream sundae so I can’t lie about what makes me happy: D Overall, I enjoyed my visit.

This is the first place in my life that I’ve been to where the the bread was so bad. I could not eat it. I don’t even understand how it could have been so bad. The bread tasted like paper with the texture of a 3 year old stale sponge that is crumbling apart. Since it was a steak sandwich, I ended up just eating the meat in the inside, which tasted like cheese. The coleslaw was bland and the pickle didn’t taste good. Also, if you’re coming here for eggs/pancakes… they don’t serve breakfast after the morning hours. I also had the Mocha Almond sundae. thinking maybe the creamery half would save the store. The coffee ice cream wasn’t special and I would not have it again. I didn’t like how there was more whipped cream than ice cream — but it was definitely better than the sandwich.

Caught up with a friend here over lunch, and it was pretty good. I got a buffalo chicken wrap that more than filled me up, despite not having fries. We also got fried Mac n cheese. Imagine pressed Kraft Mac n cheese inside of fried breading. It was different, but for $ 5, I wouldn’t get it again. The waitress that I had was training, and the service was great. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend it to others.

Right around the corner from my house and I love the service and ice cream selection but have yet to eat a meal here. Pint size is about $ 6 and you can mix flavors! meals are great here too! Danny boy sandwich is a two thumbs up!

As I write this, the local McDonald’s is undergoing reconstruction. You should consider coming here instead, even after the reconstruction is complete. You’ll have a choice of a wider variety of items, and they’ll be prepared to order. Plus you’re helping a local business, not a corporation. Oh, and they have ice cream. This is a great place to get take-out(especially if you live nearby, like I do), or for a relaxing meal. They have comfortable plush chairs, tables, and bistro seating, plus outdoor seating and a play area for nice weather. The menu has an extensive selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads and specials, but I haven’t gotten beyond the burgers yet. I like that they come without sauces, just lettuce, tomato, and onion, plus other things you can add like cheese or mushrooms. Fries, and especially sweet potato fries, are slightly pricey, but they’re worth it. It’s also really convenient for breakfast. Desserts include a selection of soft and homemade hard ice cream — including homemade wine ice creams — plus sundaes, malts, shakes, etc. There’s something for everyone.

There is nothing not to like about Clancy’s. It’s a family spot that serves tasty food at VERY affordable prices. So affordable that I’m almost worried about them. But then I eat some fantastic fried pickles, and a very solid buffalo chicken wrap, and I forget about everything else. (It may not be the lightest of meals, but I can eat non-fried food at home if I really want to.) I was too full for ice cream this time, but the taste I had was excellent. And with plenty of options as well as with rotating specialty flavors like salted caramel and bacon, I’m sure you can find a flavor you want. Especially you, because they’ve got wine ice cream, and you’re a lush.
