What a gem of a restaurant! Looking for a quiet place to celebrate Valentine’s Day with family and friends, we revisited this restaurant, having been here many times before. The Chef, Michael, was very creative by accommodating a special request of shrimp parmigian. This dish is NOT on the menu, but absolutely should be. Not to be found in any other Italian cuisine places here on the Cape this dish is well worth asking for. Succulent, delicious and different this was thoroughly enjoyed by a couple last evening. The stuffed mushrooms, buffalo mozzarella, and muscles in cream sauce started our meal, and all are highly recommended. Wait staff was exceptional, professional, anticipating our needs, and attentive. This restaurant is well worth finding

I came here on the advice of a friend who has eaten here many times. The eggplant parm dish I had was three quarters pasta, and one quarter eggplant. The eggplant itself had no breading of cheese, was pretty scant, and just completely cooked to mush… what there was of it was quite bad actually. The tomato sauce had a pink tinge and a too sweet taste. The only cheese was parmesan offered by the server. This was about the worst eggplant parm dinner I have eaten in quite some time. My friend also had a dish that wasn’t up to par, but I’m just going to stick with my own experience. I am not the type to send something back, because I figure if they can’t cook, they can’t cook. I managed to get through half my dinner but then just had to quit. I needed to go home and eat again. I am glad to see that this place has good nights, and that folks find the food tasty and fresh, but not tonight, and I don’t know that I could come back to try again. It was about $ 60 for two of us and my friends meal was also not up to par… some kind of chicken dish that to me just tasted salty and sweet without much other flavor. I’m no connoisseur, but I eat Italian out whenever I can, and this was just plain bad.

I was very pleased with this restaurant. They were about to close and the Chef was gracious to keep the kitchen open. All three of us had the prix fixe. It started off with very tasty Caesar salads. Dressing was flavorful and complemented the warm rolls. I had Chicken Saltimbocca and my co-dinners had meatballs, lasagna and eggplant Napoli. Everyone enjoyed the very delightful and huge portioned meals. We paired our meals with a $ 39 bottle of Chianti that matched well based on the waitresses suggestion. Pricing was $ 20 for the Eggplant and Lasagna and $ 25 for the Saltimbocca. The meal lost some appeal when the tasteless cannoli arrived. Overall well done job by the Chef

Food was phenomenal from the bruschetta to the carbonara. My carbonara had chicken and sausage, the sauce was creamy and not overpowering. Wonderful staff and great drinks too, if you’re into martinis, try the Citron, especially if you like lemon.

The food here is so fresh. Each dish my family ordered was delicious. Favorite part was the pasta! I’m not sure if they made the pasta here, but it tastes so chewy and fresh!

The food is very good. The male bartender is awful. Bring back the female bartenders. They are much more efficient and know what they are doing.

My family and I have been going to Ilmaestro for years! The food is always amazing. The staff is so nice and we always feel at home coming here! We are all big chicken parm fans and there sauce is the best! Sometimes they even accommodate and make things that aren’t on the menu if you ask. If you haven’t tried this place you should!

Traditional Italian restaurant with multiple dining room choices. Main room with tables and booths, conservatory, separate room for large group, lovely bar area(for food and/or drinks) and outside tables by the water feature in the summer. Peroni on draught. Excellent for a family group meal. Plenty of parking. Very nice décor.

We started with eggplant rollatini and stuffed mushrooms, with the most delicious marinara sauce. We then shared a Caesar salad with the most perfect croutons and dressing. My husband had a sirloin with gorgonzola sauce and a twice baked potato. I had veal franceis that was so tender I did not need a knife. The food was so good we did not want to stop eating, but had plenty of food to wrap and take home. We then had bread pudding and tiramisu. nicely priced delicious wines complemented our meal, and our waiter Ryan was great.

Il Maestro servers slightly over-priced, overwhelmingly average Italian food. We went in the off season and it did the trick for a quick dinner considering the place was a ghost town, but I’m surprised by how many people rate this so high. It is nowhere near authentic and isn’t much to write home about. We did enjoy our stuffed pepper appetizer with Parmesan Risotto, but the good feelings stopped there. To start we ordered Pomegranate Drop Martinis which tasted like disintegrated cherry Jell-O shots that we could barely put down. For dinner I ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and my date ordered the chicken parm. Their red sauce is pretty good(same for both dishes when it should have been different), but my shrimp was over cooked and the chicken tasted like it was frozen and was a bit soggy. The waitress was nice and everything was quick but, we were the only ones in there so that’s to be expected. It wasn’t bad overall, but it wasn’t something I’d recommend or try again.

I have had the BEST experience with this restaurant, staff, and owner, Mike. I had a professional dinner here for 21 people, and was organizing it from across the country. Mike was incredibly helpful planning, ensuring that the space was ready, and the food was phenomenal. My guests all commented on how amazing everything tasted, and how beautiful the space was. I’d like to formally thank Il Maestro for a wonderful experience, and we will definitely return next year during the conference.

One big note — the address listed on Unilocal and Google is incorrect — no fault of the restaurant directly. We gps the address listed on the Unilocal and was directed to an office building. We were glad that we made it to the restaurant. We were given the choice of seating — which was nice. We ordered the following: Chicken Marsala Chicken/Eggplant parmesan Eggplant parmesan Scrod Bruschetta Gotta say it was the BEST chicken dishes ever — never tasted chicken so tender and flavorful. The other dishes were awesome, too. All perfectly cooked. Definitely, will go back next time we’re in Hyannis.
