The Cozy Cow

Amazing sandwich. Probably the best potato salad I’ve ever had, and I’m not crazy about potato salad.

Location location location! Cozy Cow is Convenient Café, for me! There is nothing like a place nearby that serves decent food for quick consumption. It’s like having truck food with the benefit of running water and chairs! It has a small patio and a dining room. A hassel free and comfortable place for me.

Excellent location for downtown workers though parking is a challenge if you drive. The burgers are very good and I encourage you to try the different options — prices are OK and the value is good overall. Have yet to try the ice cream but hope to do so in warmer weather. Not recommended for young children given limited space.

Mooooooooooooooove over coffee establishments of Huntsville, and say hello to my little friend, The Cozy Cow! That’s right. After being disappointed that a downtown coffee house wasn’t open on a Monday (I’m talking about you, Downtown Grounds Coffee), I decided to drive over to the other side of town close to Big Spring Park & the east side of the VBC and discovered The Cozy Cow.
First off, the Cozy Cow is located in a building right on a portion of a lake that is adjacent to Big Spring Park. You’ll have to park on the street (and pay $ 0.25 for every hour) at a metered parking lot. No big deal. I think that I can handle the $ 0.25. Upon entering, you are greeted by two enthusiastic baristas, as well as the owner (or they are just over-​caffeinated). Not only does the Cozy Cow serve coffee, smoothies, and other delicious items that you would expect to find at a brewhouse– they serve hot sandwiches, as well as ice cream. Though the interior seating is not as comparable to that of a Café 153 or Angel’s Island Coffee in terms of its plushness (doesn’t have to be), its still a pretty decent place to plop my butt down and enjoy a good cup of joe & a sandwich while listening to the classical sounds of big band and blues music from eras long since passed.
Altogether, this was one location that I found it sad that I had to eventually depart to enjoy the remains of the day when I really preferred to stay. Certainly one of the best that I’ve seen thus far in rocket city.

I didn’t get to try it because the stop serving «food» after 3. By for they mean they only sell dessert food after 3. This needs to be a little more clear.

I thought this place was real good. I will come back again. I had a Reuben burger. It was pretty good. The environment is nice. The staff is awesome and friendly. I was glad to find this place, it is sorta of hidden. I want to come try the ice cream.

Decent food in a convenient location. I’ve been here twice. The first time, I had the pimento cheese, which was homemade and delicious. The second time, I had the BBQ bacon burger. The burger was decent but had a frozen beef patty rather than a homemade burger. Service is fast and friendly.

My husband and I tried this little precious place for the first time today for lunch. It’s tucked away at the corner of Big Spring park downtown so unless you’re really looking for a place to eat it’s a little hidden. The sandwiches blew me away! I had the Big BLT and cheese, and it was literally love at first bite. My husband got the cozy club, and loved his also! The wait was really long, hence why I unfortunately couldn’t give all 5 stars. It took us 20 minutes to get two sandwiches. I will allow them the fact that it was 12:30, and the lunch rush was ridiculous. My cappuccino was better than any I have ever had so definitely try the coffee as well! We will go back for sure :)

LOVE this little coffee shop! We go after our Rocket City Fit Moms meet ups! Friendly staff! Great food.

Awesome little place to grab a coffee and a bite. The staff here has always been more than helpful. When you come here, make sure to get the Salted Caramel Coffee if they have it. That stuff is AMAZING! The only ding, and I’m being really really picky, is that music is usually a little loud for my taste.

In my humble opinion, this is one of the best chicken salad sandwiches in the city. The staff are friendly and always have a smile on their face. The ice cream is absolutely delicious. Our favorite is the Crazy Cookie dough.

I love the Cozy Cow for a really cute lunch spot downtown. If it’s a nice day, it has a snug little patio where you can sit outside and enjoy the sights of Big Spring Park and the ponds. The inside has a really cool, private atmosphere that is, predictably, cozy. I always order one of the burgers, which are big and juicy and have all sorts of cool variations. My favorite is the Matt burger. It’s also convenient to have a scoop of Bluebell ice cream (the best), great coffee, or a fresh smoothie for the walk back to the car or around the park.

I love it friendly customer service. And the fact that its all natural its even better. I like that they make it in front of you.

Delicious coffee, yummy simple breakfast & lunch too. I often meet clients here as they have large tables and it’s less crowded than Starbucks and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My favorite coffee shop!

The best turkey sandwich I’ve ever had! I really can’t describe how great it was. Just AMAZING. Nice little comfy location with amazing food. Definitely worth checking out and I will certainly come back when I am in Huntsville.

This café is actually built in to the VBC’s east parking garage. On the SE corner of this garage is a big PNC bank. The Cozy Cow is next to the bank.
Enter from the outside sidewalk. Nearby street parking is scarce, but this was not a problem for me today as I was already parked in the garage near this corner.
For Saturday lunch I ordered a Patty Melt, a Strawberry Shake, and a small cup of Coffee. All were excellent, as was the service.
They have ice creams, but do not have frozen yogurt.
I did not receive a cash register receipt. (Are these going out of style?)
They have WiFi, but one requests the password.
They now have some regular tables inside, and a desk with a lamp. Not just high-​top tables.
From Cozy Cow I walked the outside sidewalk along Big Spring Park lake, to the civic center.
I give ‘em four and a half, overall. I’m docking them half a star for being hard to find, and for a lack of free parking.
However, I’m glad they’re here!

Cute. Perfect location. The most friendly coffee shop I have been in. Coffee was great; I had a sugar free German Chocolate Latte with nonfat milk. Loved it. They have WI-​FI! All of the food smelt great. Tall large tables where I was able to study. They have a patio and indoor area.
