I love this place! Great food and great people. For breakfast I’d definitely recommend the steak and eggs or the benedicts(brunch menu Saturday and Sunday). They are now back to doing dinner and have great appetizers!

Since changing from Sandwich Farm to Lumberyard Kitchen, I have not enjoyed this place nearly as much. I understand expanding, but in doing so, it lost all of the charm that I loved so much. The overall food quality is about the same, but I do not go nearly as often as before.

(Note: Sandwich Farm is now the Lumberyard Kitchen) I really hate to leave this review. Honestly, the food is fantastic, but the service is horrendous. I went for brunch a couple months ago, right after they started merging with the Lumberyard, and received terrible service. We thought it was due to the large group, so my husband and I went back yesterday. We placed a to-go order, hoping to grab something quickly so we could get back to our jobs, and then waited more than 30 minutes. After about 20 minutes our food came out, but it was input incorrectly. The waitress and manager then took another 10 minutes to sort out the check. Once they finally had it, the waitress took a phone call and the manager disappeared, leaving our food behind the counter. I had to flag the manager down and request that she actually give us our food so we could go. While this was going on, they had also incorrectly rung up the guy beside us. He ordered before we did(and had already eaten his meal), tried to pay before we did, and was still there when we left, trying to get them to reconcile his ticket. I will say, even cold, the food was still good. So, if you have plenty of time to kill on a leisurely afternoon, the Lumberyard Kitchen is a good place to dine. Just go in expecting horrible service.

Sorely disappointed in this place. I live in Huntsville, and have been looking forward to this visit for a great lunch, but no. First, it’s no longer«The Sandwich Farm» — that place /entry is closed; they have made it more of some sort of sit-down place, with waiters, and that does not match up with any of the reviews on this site for this place. I would describe the atmosphere as dirty + hipster, which equals ridiculous. Second, you have to walk through a very poorly-marked entranceway to an adjacent VERYSMOKY bar /night spot, which is not what I am looking for when I am out for lunch(or ever). Vomit. Third, if you are famous for your fries, you simply cannot always be running out of them. Period. We left, and will never go back.

I love Sandwich Farm. One of the best breakfasts in town, not to mention the staff is top notch. I highly recommend the pancakes with citrus syrup, or the corned beef. Delicious!

Unfortunately I was unable to receive service from anyone in the restaurant. Apparently, I was invisible today. The truly sad part is that I walked into the restaurant behind another couple and we both sat down at the same time. They were able to place orders and receive drinks while I was passed by several times. I quietly stood up and walked out. They will never receive my business again. I only wish I could get back the time I wasted during my lunch at this establishment. Did I mention I was pregnant and tired? So not worth it? I’d caution any individuals who are invisible to eat elsewhere! What a waste.

In town from California visiting family from Huntsville and Memphis. We chose this place based on the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint! We gathered 4 generations together for a Sunday morning brunch and everyone person was extremely happy with their entrée of choice. I had the veggie Benedict which I highly recommend and a side of sweet potato fries. I was supposed to share the fries but ended up hoarding every last one of them! My husband got the burrito and French toast again SO good. Happy people all around. The service was awesome. John was totally on it. Coffee was constantly refreshed. Very cool setting and was accommodating of my 7 month old twins AND80+ year old grandmother and a lot in between! I would recommend to anyone with taste buds that prefers food come from the earth and not just be drowned in grease and fat back

Sandwich Farm is now Lumberyard Kitchen, but it’s the same chef & menu. The former SF dining room is now a waiting room for the restaurant, which is a good idea since the current dining room(and former bar) is small. Waiting room bonus: free coffee. They intend to expand both the kitchen & dining areas in future. Sunday Brunch: delicious $ 5 mimosa(in a giant Chardonnay glass). Delicious & surprisingly spicy eggs Benedict, even if eggs were over-poached. Very tasty King pancakes, huge portion. Overall a good experience, we’ll come back when they open the new spaces.

Ehhhh… What can you say? «They try», I guess. Not my cup of tea — I mean not my cup of free trade organic gluten free locally sourced tea. I feel like SF is one of those places that sounds cool to say you like; because nowhere in HSV have I seen more hipsters taking pictures of their food. Wouldn’t recommend going here unless you’re into Bernie Sanders and David Foster Wallace… ALOT! Edit: when I made this review it was called Sandwich Farm(SF). I haven’t tried the new place, yet.

The taste of the food does not match the amount of time you wait for your food to be delivered. The food is decent, the atmosphere is enjoyable, but we waited 1hr30mins for our 2 little sandwiches. We won’t be back.

Love this place. The menu is anything but ordinary yet the flavors and atmosphere are warm and inviting. Everything is fresh made from the juice to the syrup. Really a luxurious treat to eat there in a that simple cozy breakfast street café. Name is changing(Lumberyard Diner) and diner area is expanding– a huge success no doubt. One of a kind place.

I so love this place. Take the family here and we all get our own but end up eating some of each other’s they are all so good. I’m not sure how some complain except to think they are so used to fast food and pre packed food from everyday restaurants. This place buys local, makes items from scratch and will specialize the food for you if at all possible. The corned beef– Absolutely great! Thanks to the wait staff, things flow well, lits of interaction and help for each other. Breakfast is awesome, lunch is as well. Don’t be afraid if trying anything. So far– no disappointments.

We used to be huge fans of this place for Sunday brunch, but after 3 consecutive poor experiences we will not be returning. The food is great but they are always running out of it! How do you run out of home fries, biscuits, and orange juice? On our final visit, we overheard that they were out of home fries yet again but decided to stick around anyway. However, after a good 15 – 20 minutes of waiting for someone to take our order, we left and drove back across town to Broken Egg. Also, now that they have combined with AM Booth’s Lumberyard, the area we were seated felt like a bar. Not exactly my idea of a pleasant Sunday brunch.

Not sure what all the fuss is about with this place. Maybe it should have been called the Breakfast Farm. I was surprised at the small selection of sandwiches and though the breakfast seemed somewhat more appealing, I wasn’t in the mood today to have it for lunch. The sweet potato fries I got with my sandwich were decent, but the sandwich was awful! So much so, I’m not sure I’d be inclined to go back to try their breakfast items.

Finally made it over here for Sunday brunch and I must say that, despite the requisite summer heat of the South, Sandwich Farm is a winner. I knew I was in for a good time when the light, smoky haze of an infuse grill greeted me at the door. Based on the sardine experience with the crowd though I’m pretty sure whenever I drift here for lunch I’ll be sure to come at off-hours on off days if such exist. It’s not a terribly big place but not a bona-fide matchbox either… it’s just popular and rightfully so. My crew ran through the breakfast burrito, fresh squeezed orange juice and I had the seafood eggs Benedict, which was actually homage to New Orleans with its perfectly made andouille. The skillet burger looked fabulous a few tables over and that’s my next target when I return. My on negative has little to do with the kitchen and more with the fact that I couldn’t tell if we were actually IN the kitchen due to the near-midday heat. That being said, I’m pretty sure this will be a great place once temperatures pendulum in the opposite direction.

They smoke and cure their own bacon, and it is delicious! I got the BLT and added avocado. Everything was perfect. The bacon was crispy and chewy, the fried mozzarella was thin and crisp, and the brioche bun was fresh. It wasn’t greasy and was a great combination of flavors. I also got the pickled beets; they were very good but you don’t get much of them. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The woman behind the counter was happy to guide me in my decision. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience.

Stopped by on July 3rd and everyone had that day off from work. I’m not sure why they didn’t know to expect a big crowd, but they didn’t and that’s what they got. This is a good place to eat. I would recommend it, but not if there is a line. They simply didn’t know what to do with that crowd. It took over an hour to get my breakfast. And kudos to them, they comp’d my coffee. As for the breakfast, it was good. Their pancakes are great.

We seen this establishment on one of our late night runs to the foodfighters and decided to give it shot last Friday. It’s a cool space, and the waiter was nice. I actually had the skillet burger(–tomato) and sweet potato fries(+$ 1). The burger was ok, and the sweet potato fries had tad too much salt. Overall it was a okay. I don’t know if I will be returning.

I have given it 3 tries so far and I love everything so far. The breakfast burrito has got to be the best out there except you do have to pay for the extra ingredients. By the time I was done adding the cool ingredients, it was over $ 10. I am a huge fan of the food, just not the cost of adding ingredients. The breakfast biscuits are good also. For the Sandwiches, I love that everything tasted fresh including the breads. They provide ingredients on sandwiches that you do not get in other places. Again, big fan of the food but you will pay for it. I have yet to try their Sunday Brunch items, but we will be back to try someday.

One of the best place in Huntsville to get breakfast. From the breakfast burrito to the omelette, Sandwich Farm does not disappoint. The ingredients are fresh and local, which makes a huge impact on food quality. I’ve been here for lunch a few times and they make one heck of a falafel. Typically i order and then next door to Lone goose to sit on the patio for a beer + they will deliver it to you.
