Dominion Salon & Spa

I have never been treated like this at a spa, and I have enjoyed them all over the world for several decades. I made an appointment for a massage with Wesely at Dominion Spa and showed up on time for the appointment. I was presented with a 4 page application form to complete prior to the massage. Wesely never even talked to me, but had his mother run back and forth between us. It was noted that I had had a successful back surgery approximately 30 years ago and Wesley, wanted me to get a note from the doctor approving the massage so I would not sue him in court. I was stunned as I never considered such and had no lingering issues or complaints from that surgery. I explained all of this to Wesley’s mother, to include that the surgeon was in Virginia and had long since retired. To get a local medical evaluation would required X-​rays and a costly appointment with a local orthopedist when I do not have an injury or malady. It was beyond ridiculous to require that of a client and should have been mentioned at the time of the appointment so i would not waste my time, energy and money coming to the spa. It also made me wonder why someone would be so worried about legal action. Had there been a history of other law suits, and I was lucky he refused to work on me? Guess I was actually lucky.

My stylist, Mason started here last month and I went to Dominion for the first time this week. Awesome! You should go just for the **most comfortable shampoo bowls in the universe**!! No joke: these shampoo bowls are like your head is just floating in thin air, nothing but SUPER comfy and I’ve had my head in plenty of shampoo bowls over the years!: -) The décor is understated peaceful, modern, and super CLEAN! They offer facials, waxing services, various massages, mani/​pedis and I’m sure there’s more + all your typical salon hair services. They believe in organic, earth-​friendly products and offer a good array of hair care products, candles, nail care (I believe) etc. I tried their color hair treated line of products today for the first time and loved it! Plus, a good portion of their staff just attended out-​of-​state training to learn new, interesting hair techniques. It’s a nice location on the outskirts of downtown Huntsville, well appointed, well laid out, and scored a 100 on their health rating! Give Mason, Troy, Patty, Scott, Wes, or any of their friendly, super staff and I’m sure you will be pleasantly surprised!
