Had never heard of chicken express and You wouldn’t think this place is that great by their cheesy logo… but honestly the best tasting chicken tenders (& gravy) in all of huntsville, if not Texas! Fried pickles… yum! Sweet tea of Texas and rolls that melt in your mouth. Haven’t tried everything on the menu yet, but we will get there, since we go once a week now!

Hubby fell in love with this place a few years ago while we were visiting the Dallas area. There are none in Houston, but a few in surrounding areas. We normally go to the Magnolia location once a year so he can get his CE fix. Today we decided to go to Huntsville. This is by far the best location we have been to yet. There is about a 10 minute wait after you order, but so worth it. The food was hot, fresh, tasty and not greasy. We will be back!

Hands down the best fried chicken that doesn’t come with a special sauce that you can get in town. I’ve tried everything on the menu and it’s really hard to say no to the fried pickles or corn nuggets here. Also don’t forget to try the sweet tea.
The only negative I’ve encountered here was that the french fries can be pretty limp although still tasty.
I’ve never had any issues with the service and the employees have always been pretty cheerful and funny.
If possibly try to get your hands on one of the coupon books that they pass out on campus or leave out at various locations around town as you can sometimes nab good deals on combos for this place.

Usually stop in on our way thru Huntsville and we really like it here. Good sweet tea. Love dipping my chicken strips in mashed potatoes and gravy. Also, this place gives you the option of a roll or a biscuit… like there’s really any debate on which is better. Biscuit!
