They were great — unfortunately they fell victim to the Parkway overpass construction early in 2016 and closed down.

Beef fajitas were tough, under-seasoned, greasy, and generally not at all very good. The top shelf Margarita with a premium tequila was very bland, with the cheap sour mix overpowering what little liquor was in the drink. Definitely not worth the 2+$ up-charge for the premium tequila. Given the many other options close by, I would not recommend this place.

I absolutely loved my meal. The service was great, the food was served quickly, and the order was right. To top it off the quality of the food was amazing the beef fajitas were awesome. The salas. woth the chips was just right! I highly recommend it.

I’ve been here more than a handful of times over the course of a few years and while it isn’t the greatest food, it is consistent at least. Consistently okay, that is. Nothing has ever been inedible but if I’m paying ~$ 10 – 15 for an entrée and over $ 5 for a margarita, I want it to be better. This is certainly in no way authentic and really lacks any spice or distinctive flavor. My service has always been pleasant and speedy, even on busier times.

This is a great place and a good alternative to the over-crowded and over-loud dining room at the popular place a little further south on Memorial Drive. We got hit with an hour and a half wait at the popular place — a frustration that I can sum up in two words: Good bye! Off to Casa Blanca! I admit it — when someone said, «Let’s go to…» here, I thought they said, «Casablanca» so I was expecting Rick’s Café American and Moroccan fare. When we arrived and I saw the sign, «Casa Blanca» and thought, oh, White House. I get it now — Mexican food without the noise and excessively long wait of that other place. The restaurant is located inside an arcade type building. The décor is typical Mexican, lots of wood and bright colors. Our party of nine was seated immediately! I made the mistake of ordering a large Dos Equis. I should have asked before hand because«large» is about a quart in this place! The other members of our party report that the margaritas are very good. Along with our drinks came tortilla chips with a salsa that had a slight kick but not overboard with spices. Several interesting dishes were ordered by our group, including Fajita Nachos(piled high on a dish) and a couple of chimichangas that were(surprisingly) not deep fried. Sides included refried beans, fried rice mixed with corn and lima beans, and a lettuce, tomato and onion salad. Guacamole was excellent. The atmosphere is comfortable and you can actually have a conversation with your fellow diners. I only get to Huntsville once a year. In the future, I’ll skip the other place and round up the usual suspects to return to Casa Blanca.

I enjoy trying different places when I travel but this place… It wasn’t the best. Smh* the margaritas weren’t what I expected. You can taste the«brown» /cheap tequila. I sent both drinks back & ordered Vodka & pineapple drinks. They gave me like a half shot in each glass & filled the glass up with all juice & ice. Haha The chips weren’t tasty at all. It was definitely some place I’ll never visit again. :-/

Pretty decent food here, but I have to say the highlight is the dessert. Whatever they have that is sinfully bad for you is the best! Order the«Chango» and you won’t be disappointed!

As a business traveler, I never know what I’m going to get when I walk into a restaurant. Casa Blanca was a very pleasant surprise. The manager greeted me promptly and seated me, took my drink order, and I was on my way to a nice dining experience. The food was excellent, the price was very fair, and the ambience was exceptional for a Mexican restaurant. Very pleased.

This is probably the worst mexican food that I have ever ate! How it has 4 stars I will never know, people obviously like their tex mex round here and this is even a poor example of tex mex… This is not real Mexican food! I am coming in from San Diego California and have a great taste for mexican food, so I was craving it last night. Last night I ordered the super chimichanga, and boy was that a mistake. The chicken was not seasoned right and over peppered, the beef was over salted and had a weird texture(I don’t think they know that they can put more than just meat inside of the chimichonga!?), the salsa tasted like ketchup, the drinks had absolutely no kick to them… Thank goodness for bottled beer! My stomach felt slightly sick after eating here, I think it was the thought of the bad food that got to me… if this is the best that Huntsville Alabama has to offer, they will never really taste real mexican food… Sad, have to wait to go back to California to even get a real street taco! This is probably the worst experience I’ve ever had with food out at a restaurant, even when I got food poisioning, the food tasted better there. I would suggest not going to here unless you’re going for beers… Here is a quick tip on how to make simple real salsa, not canned salsa I can buy at any store: tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, jalapenos, salt, garlic(optional), a little fresh lime juice easy right… you can either blend it up or leave it for us to make pico de gallo… You can add different things to that as well, but that is about it and will probably cost you less than the canned salsa in the long run… Especially with the lost customer base! I could go on about an avocado dip/topper as well but I do not think this restaurant will listen…

One of my regular stops when in Huntsville. Great food, good margaritas, the chips and salsa are nice and crisp and warm. And too boot, its’ close to the hotels. Thursday nights they have Trivia night which adds to the fun.

Casa Blanca has so many locations now! They do a really good job. Food is consistently good and they have good deals on beer and margaritas. This location is tucked away at Main Street South.
