If I could I would leave no stars. This was hands-down one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to in a very long time. It was one of the few restaurants that were open during the snowstorm and they had a fairly decent reviews and food pictures, however, do not let that trick you. We went to the bar and asked for the beer selection and the waitress did not even know how to pronounce Guinness. In addition, I do not think they understand the definition of «tapas.» Hot wings do not count…

Pullman Pub is a great addition to the Pullman Plaza Hotel. The chefs here really know their cuisine. I’ve only been one time, but everyone’s meal in my party was delicious(I know because I tried them all haha). Definitely a place where you can take a business partner or a date for a great meal and some cocktails. Or where you can unwind later at night when you’re staying at the hotel on business.

We walked in here tonight and it was like a bad restaurant on it’s way out. We thought Gordon Ramsey needed to visit this place. So we didn’t try the food the atmosphere was enough to scare us away.

Had several tapas at the Pullman Pub and Tapas Grille. Each night the chef has 10 to choose from along with the items on the regular menu. I chose the asparagus and poached egg it was excellent. The other tapas I chose was the steak with a Demi glacé. The pub was very crowded but service was fast and excellent. They had an excellent choice of wines including my favorite which moscato. Dessert choices tonight included dreamsicle cheese cake or bread pudding. Had a piano player earlier in the night a wonderful touch.

Pullman Plaza has brought back executive chef Thomas Hickey to replace the aging Coach Pruett Steakhouse, and he has chosen to do so as a tapas grill. Chef Hickey’s return is good news to all lovers of fine food. His palate is imaginative and his food is a delight to both tongue and eye. Tapas is a new thing locally. The concept is simple. For $ 20 you get three tapas«plates» delivered five minutes apart. Each plate contains a small serving of an elegant dish. We had beef with bleu cheese, salmon with peppers, tomato and mozzarella, chicken piccata, a simply wonderful clam chowder and bread pudding(my personal weakness). Each plate was presented promptly and the care with which each was constructed was evident. This is fine cookery at its best! The only weakness is the bar, which is still being fitted. There was only one draft — Blue Moon, but more is coming, I understand. The tapas plates change on Friday, so there should be a lot of variety. Excellent. Just excellent.
