great food and nice atmosphere, especially when you sit out on their back patio in the nice weather. paninis and salads are huge! the staff, while friendly, is a bit unhelpful or slow at times.

Nice little place. I went in the afternoon around three, so it wasn’t crowded. We had the Cuban Panninis and they were very good. The staff was very attentive also. The cheese cake is what my wife had. She enjoyed it very much. That is the only dessert that is made there. I had the Tartufo and thought it was also very good. It was served with fresh whipped cream. I would go back again.

This is one of my very favorites in Huntington for a fast, delicious, inexpensive meal. Good for take-out as well as eat-in. Great selection of hearty tasty soups, great salads, sandwiches, etc. Gets very crowded so plan ahead and consider a week night instead of weekend night. And the service is wonderful. One evening we went in and ordered some soup to go, the restaurant was packed and the kitchen hopping. We went home and unfortunately had the wrong soup. We called the restaurant and they apologized and said they knew they made a mistake as soon as we left but couldn’t catch us. They offered to drive the correct soup to our house!(and remember this was a super busy weekend evening). We said no, we’d be happy to come back and make the exchange. And, it’s vegetarian friendly! Lots of choices.

Excellent service and food. We stopped in for lunch after taking a long walk at a local park, we were starving. Food is creative, very large menu, and service was great! We could not finish everything and took half home

Decided to come here on a cold day in December. It’s a very small place, only about 10 tables or so. We had the beef barley and the chili, both were great and felt authentic, homemade and incredible hardy. WARNING: the bowl is HUGE and easily feeds two. Even with just the cup we were satisfied. We got the Cuneo which was chicken zucchini, red pepper and cheese, it was great(the breaded was much more moist and tastier, however it’s a .75c up charge). Would recommend to friends!

We had an unexpected pleasure this evening as we walked the streets of Huntington Village with no particular destination in mind. My wife, 11-year old daughter and I decided to take a ride, walk around and find a place to eat. We almost passed by this small restaurant, but decided to take a look at the menu. There was something for everyone, and some very interesting combinations. We were seated quickly, surprising for a Saturday night. The tables never got full, so it was quiet enough to have decent conversation. There was music on in the background, and it was truly in the background, which I appreciate. We started with fried ravioli. It was fluffy and full, crunchy and delicious. My daughter built her own Panini with steak, avocado, mushrooms and other items. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. My wife had the«Potenza», eggplant, mozzarella and tomato. Also delicious. I couldn’t decide between the prosciutto and pear or prosciutto and fig, so I asked the waitress to surprise me with whichever she liked better. It was with pear as well as gorgonzola. Everything was fresh and really excellent. These are my favorite places; you get terrific food in a casual and unpretentious atmosphere, and the menu was full of surprises. There looked to be a very nice selection of pastas, salads and the soup choices were plentiful and all sounded great. This truly is a place where everyone in the family can find something to wonderful to eat, and at prices that are totally reasonable. My daughter was inspired to ask for the manager so she could express how much she enjoyed her meal. We met Joe, the owner. What I thought was special was that he came out, knowing it was my daughter that asked for him, and he gave her his full attention. He asked her questions, seemed sincere in hearing her answers and really engaged with her. Many others would defer to the parents, but he took her compliments seriously. Of course he spoke with us and we assured him we’ll be back with our other daughter as well. He generously offered dessert, my wife and I declined(we were full), and my daughter had an awesome cannoli. This place deserves to be much busier. Very nice service, excellent food, reasonable prices… you really can’t ask for more than this.

Just simply the best place on earth. Nicest staff I have encountered, very reasonably priced. To be fair I haven’t tried anything except the chicken parm panini /plate there but it is absolutely the best chicken parm I have ever had. Only $ 12 for the plate and $ 8 for the panini and it’s the best thing I’ve ever had in my life. Staff always gives me extra bread to dip in the sauce for free.

I’ve been living in this neighborhood for 2 years and order from NY Panini at least once a week. By far the fastest, most consistent and excellent delivery in town, although dining in is also a great experience. I’m actually writing this review right after placing an order(chicken cutlet Parm, always done right), and I doubt It will even post before my door gets a knock. As a restaurant professional it’s always nice to see people dedicated to their craft and customers. Do yourself a favor and have the homemade mozzarella wedges. This place just rules.

Great little place to have lunch in Huntington Village. Their service is attentive/helpful and their food is delicious. A large selection of flavorable paninis and salads that come in big portions! I also recommend the tomato cheddar soup(TODIEFOR)!!

Just came here with a friend and we were surprised by how nice it was inside. The portions are very large and the food is fantastic. We did not sit outside but they do have the option. It’s very nice. Will definitely return in the future!

This was our 2nd time getting take out from NY Panini and it was better than the first. The panini’s are so delicious and fresh. The first time my husband had a steak panini which was a little over cooked for his liking(which is why I give this review 4 stars) but he said it wasn’t bad. I had the eggplant parm which was delicious. The second time I had the Buffalo panini which was amazing! I will definitely have this again. My husband had the eggplant parm this time and he loved it. We will be back for sure!

Salads here USED to be great. Now they’re skimpy with pretty much all lettuce. What happened?

Love the huge variety of paninis, fresh giant salads(it’s a 1.5person serving in a big bowl) & reasonable prices! Always busy. I usually get the grilled whole calamari appetizer, seafood salad(it’s topped with grill sliced calamari), juicy roasted pork paninis(get it… the one with the broccoli rabe & swiss cheese is so good, but hold the spicy jalepenos!) & a glass or two of wine. The olive oil with toasted bread upon seating is really good. There’s a simple back patio for outdoor dining too. The indoor dining room is small… 2 or 4 tops so don’t expect big group gatherings here. Great, fast & friendly service. I remember seeing wine specials on Wednesdays from their chalkboard too.

I’m seeing all these good reviews and I’m confused. The only reason I didn’t complain was because it was a free company lunch(and because it was take out). I ordered fettucine alfredo. I got fettucine. I can see a little bit of the color of alfredo sauce on the bottom of the container. But otherwise, there’s just oil smeared all over the noodles. For $ 16, I expected something better. Something that actually tasted cheesy? Since Alfredo sauce is supposed to be a creamy cheese sauce? One of my co workers got the shrimp salad. Her shrimp was burned. Just not a great experience. I think next company lunch, we will be ordering from somewhere else.

After walking through town my sisters and I all decided we wanted a really good sandwich, and one of my sisters suggested New York panini! Our waitress was super friendly, attentive and fast. Place was clean and had a huge selection of delicious entrees and sandwiches . I ordered the prosciutto mozzarella sweet peppers sundries tomato spicy mayo red onion red chili pepper flake on ciabatta bread and it was really amazing. Bread is made in house and was toasted to perfection. And it holds all the delicious filling inside, that’s important for a meaty and hearty sandwich! My other sisters got a huge steak salad with tomatoes smoked mozz shredded mozz onion lettuce and she loved it, great presentation too on their plates and bowls! And my other sister ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich with mozzarella caramalizedd onions and herb mayo on ciabatta! Everyone loved their meal and the atmosphere ! They also have outdoor eating in the front and back of the restaurant which is always a huge plus to me ! Great food great service and next time I want a panini and I’m in the area I’ll be sure to stop back in !!! Thank you New York Panini !!!

I work walking distance & I am aware there isn’t a lot of inexpensive salad opinions around the Huntington village area. I got the mushroom salad to go. It was good! But $ 10 for mix baby greens, a few sunflower seeds and mushrooms? I don’t know… It just seemed over-priced to me. Salads from R.H. Riley’s are about the same price, better quality and more quantity. Just sayin’.

Menu is pretty good here, lots of paninis, salads, pasta dishes, gluten free items and soups. I really like how they write the soups of the day on the chalkboard and write whether they are low fat, vegan, gluten free, etc. I have tried several salads here and have had the shrimp salad twice always subbing in cajun shrimp. The salad is pretty good, weird looking shrimp so don’t look to closely at them. What bothers me about this place are the workers. So unfriendly. I believe it was the owners who were working and they just seemed absolutely miserable. No smiles, no hellos, no have a good day, just straight serious faces. I tried being over the top friendly and still nothing. What a depressing atmosphere. I understand having a bad day, but you don’t bring that to work with you. Always ask for bread at lunch. They give it to some people but not others, I think you have to request it. This is a good go to for a healthy meal. Not cheap though.
