This place has some of the best tapas on Long Island. My favorite entrée is the veal Milanese. The veal is so tender and they give you a huge portion. The pomegranate margarita is delicious and goes good with just about anything. The owner is very hands on and his wait staff is very attentive. We absolutely love this place keep up the good work!

This was our third time coming to eat here. Always greeted by the owner like family. The food here is very good and consistent. Nice location and atmosphere and large variety of choices. The waiter last Saturday was very attentive and was constantly coming over making sure everything was to our satisfaction. We love it here.

I had made a reservation for 8 guests on ; when we arrived Hugo, the manager said that they had been calling me for 2 days trying to get in touch with me. Apparently the website had my old cell phone number, so I never received any phone calls. Thankfully, Hugo still had a table saved for us and we were sat right away. The service was incredibly slow. We waited about 30 minutes for the first round of cocktails, then another 15 minutes for our orders to be taken. We waited 2 hours for the appetizers to come out and another 15 minutes for the entrees to come out. The waitress was lovely and while it was a very busy night, she kept saying that«a lot of large tables were just sat» and that’s why the service was so slow. Both my fiancé and I work in the industry so to hear that as an excuse is actually awful. We felt like our table, ordering cocktails, appetizers, entrees and desserts were not as important because«a lot of large tables were just sat». Truly I don’t care if the POTUS was just seated. They did offer us a free round of drinks(AFTERWEASKED…) which was nice, but still we waited over 2 hours for entrees. Half the table ordered the Guacho Steak which the restaurant recommends eating«Medium Rare». We all ordered it medium rare as recommended and all of the steak came out well done. While it was still good, it was incredibly disappointing. Also a member of our group had ordered the Veal entrée at 7:45pm and at 9:00pm the Veal was 86’d off the menu. It was just a truly uncomfortable and frustrating experience. When we got the bill it was incorrect as we were billed for 9 entrees instead of 8. Overall, I am disappointed in the service and kitchen capabilities at Buenos Aires. We have dined here many times and always had a nice dinner. I know a lot of other tables were complaining around us as well, and I felt bad for the waitress as it was out of her control, but they need to train their staff better to help the kitchen push the plates out.

Food was good, clearly fresh and well made. We got empanadas, Papas a La Provenzal, Ropa Vieja and Hamburguesitas. Of the lot, the papas were the best, wonderful with a creamy sauce that had a bite. I really wanted to love this place, but I felt the stars slipping away as the minutes passed. The service was rough. Could be it was an off Friday night(about 9 p.m.), but for a hungry guy and gal looking for some food, it took a surprisingly long time to get.(I’m referring to the basic server interactions of getting noticed when walking into the restaurant, getting menus quickly, getting water soon after, and getting checked in on. The food I’m sure is prepared fresh and I have no complaints about awaiting its creation.) Minus a star. Our server was nice enough, but also said her other tables were«needy» and used curse words. I’m all about camaraderie and gallows humor, but it’s a bit unnerving to think I could be on the receiving end of those same comments. Minus a star. I recommend getting a variety of tapas for a good deal and an interesting taste of this great cuisine. Good location, big parking lot nearby. Fairly loud if you have to sit near the bar, and the tables near the entrance are of course cold in the winter. If your experience is like mine, though, you’ll want to request your food as soon as you sit down and ask for the check soon after, in the hopes of getting both in a timely manner.

I have walked past this restaurant hundreds of times and never tried it until this week. We had some empanadas for an appetizer which were delicious! We also had the Frutte De Mar, a nice seafood salad with scallops, octopus, and shrimp which was incredible. For the main course my wife had the Filet of Sole which she loved and I had the Paella which I am still thinking about 3 days later. Jam packed full of mussels, clams, scallops, octopus, shrimp and lobster, it was so, so good! Very tasty, just the right amount of spice and perfectly cooked seafood. I will be back for the Paella. The only thing is, it was so good I will never try anything else on the menu… I will keep going for the Paella!

Situated in the heart of Huntington a bite at Buenos Aires is a must try. On a nice day, sitting in their offered outside area is a dream. Great tapas at Café Buenos Aires! A bit of an expense but also to be a bit expected, you will be sure to find something you’ll love. I will be sure to come back as the nicer weather starts up.

Completely overrated… fair at best. Food here is pretty much average, they’re just pumping out plates quickly. There are some decent dishes like the gnocchi and paella, but overall your $ in terms of food quality and service is best spent elsewhere in town!

Went here because a friend of ours raved about how good it was. That being said, I cannot agree. I had the mixed seafood appetizer and that was delicious. My husband had a ham and cheese empanada. It was greasy and not much filling in it. For main course, my husband had the grilled chicken and provolone sandwich. I had the steak and Swiss cheese sandwich. Both were served with a side of French fries. The fries were extremely greasy and reminded us of cold fries that had been re-fried. Not unlike Friendly’s would serve. For the high price of this lunch($ 60), they should have been fresh. My steak sandwich was just ok. I took off the greasy bread and ate the steak on its own. They were not busy. Only 3 other people in the restaurant at the time. For the amount of great restaurants in Huntington, we will not be back to this one.

The food here is incredible! The only reason why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the interior could use some updating. Everything my friend and I ordered was delicious and had great flavor! We shared the empanadas(had one of each of the four flavors), I had the Cordero Patagonico(grilled lamb chops), and my friend had the 18 oz t-bone(one of the evening’s specials). We truly enjoyed everything! Each item was perfectly seasoned and the meats were tender(and actually cooked to how we ordered!) I highly recommend this place!

Perfect example of a place that just doesn’t care about the quality of the food they serve their customers. Had about 6 different tapas dishes, all of which were bland or completely overcooked. The steak dishes, in particular, were leathery and they clearly use poor quality meats. The lack of care that they show for their dishes really warrants a review like this. Had this place opened in a Spanish community, it would have been out of business within a month.

Coming into an Argentine restaurant as a vegan is like stepping into a slasher movie. Above the bar there are cow figurines, the booths in the back have cow hide coverings, the dinner menu is multiple variations on one kind of meat stuffed inside of another kind of meat topped with another kind of meat. Consider their Parrillada Mixta«Assorted cuts of sweet sausage, skirt steak, chicken, sweet breads, and black sausage, served with vegetables and mashed potato. « But my partner and I knew this going in. The place looked so cute on the outside, where they have seating, we decided to sit in the bar area and have a bottle of good Argentine red wine. A very classy, warm interior, the kind of place for a date, not snooty. There was good energy, and while there were no lines, it seemed full on a Friday night. The waiter was very attentive, brought us a bottle of «Sur de los Andres» Malbec, which was delightful. My only complaint was that the bar had a very large, sports-bar like plasma TV and two smaller TVs. This restaurant is not a sports bar, so it does not really fit in with the rest of the environment and was distracting. From the looks of it, too, no one except for 2 isolated men were watching.

I don’t know what’s taken me so long to review this place. I would come here every single day if I could. This is definitely my favorite spot for food and drinks in the village. Everything is beyond delicious. Servers are always great. My favorite bartender in Huntington Alejandra works the bar like a boss. The great thing about buenos aires is that you actually can find a healthy meal here and not feel like you’re missing out. Everything is delicious. They also have many gluten free tapas. My favorite tapas are the braised beef with quail egg on top and the gnocchi with mushrooms and scallops. Hands down best sangria, red and white. Great for a quick small meal with a friend or for a nice romantic dinner. You can’t go wrong with this place! 5 stars well deserved

I’m Argentinian and they are in some ways not exactly traditionally Argentinian, but still a very good place to go. I’ve gone with my husband and/or family on several occasions, we have never been disappointed. The food is always very good, high quality. The atmosphere is nice, there’s live music and dancing I believe on Friday’s, nice bar area as well. Recommended!

Sad to say, but my last dinner here was full of disappointments… An early dinner, table of four, and we were rushed from the moment we entered the almost empty restaurant. Our waiter seemed to be in a hurry to turn the table over — constantly interrupting conversation and trying to move our dinner forward. He just would not leave us alone for a moment. Two of the people at my table ordered an assortment of tapas and small plates with the request that some come as appetizers and others as a main course. They all came together. Food was also disappointing with the portions seemingly smaller than ever before. A special was said to be batter-fried lobster in garlic sauce.(Sounds good, right?) What came to the table was a few bites of poorly cooked lobster meat swimming in grease. A pork chop that was ordered medium rare came out well done and dry — a real turn off. We left without ordering coffee or desert to a still empty restaurant. Café Buenos Aires — you can do better.

Might be the best spot in hton. Everything about the food and service was top notch. Our waitress was perfect and made great recommendations for us. I can’t even remember the onslaught of meat and cheese flying at me but it was all really good. They had great mixed drinks with the right amount of bite. I was genuinely surprised there was a place this good we hadn’t heard of before. this town really has a ton of great food and this is among the best. The price is in line w what u get.

Ok, I LOVE this place!!! The hostess is so sweet and remembered me. And the bartenders and waiters are all great. I’ve eaten at the bar and at a table and the service is always awesome! I have never had anything here I didn’t like but mind you, I always order from the tapas menu. So here is a list of the tapas that I have happily eaten: Empanadas– they rock! Ceviche– The best I have ever eaten, it has tiny slivers of peppers and ginger that make it addicting. Chickpeas and Spicy Sausage– totally yum Octopus and potato salad-I have never tried octopus before and I seriously loved it. It had a smokey flavor. Cheese Platter– it was very good. There was a strange cranberry looking thing on there and I had to ask the waiter what it was. Quince Jam. Who knew. Tortilla Espanolla– a little dry but tasty Gnocchi with breaded scallops– in a creamy white sauce. Delicious Braised Beef Hash with a quail egg– total cuteness Fried Calamari, cheese fondue, I’ll stop here. One thing that u must have is the sangria. White or red, they both call to me. Go here, you won’t leave disappointed or sober.

Went recently on a cold weekday night… parking(as of most of Huntington Village)…wait a minute I can park behind the place and cut through an alley… nice…Whoa…wait a minute the alley is an ice rink of death… whoa… Anyway, back to this joints review… walk in huge bar to my right, surrounded by nice tables. Nice genuine warm welcome by the hostess(amazing how many place screw up this simple front of the house task)…escorted to back table nice nice. Mark’s our waiter, nice dude, efficient not annoying and knowledgeable… you’ll get a nice tip fella. So we decided(no wait. not we… I decided) to get just tappas… Ordered some sangria, very good, and then on to the tapas. First out grilled octopus, good stuff very tender. Gnocchi next with mushrooms OK, little crazy with the garlic, now we have ceviche well done Buenos Aires, well done. Nice fresh seafood, perfect lime/lemon marinade, could have a big plate of dat. Next white anchovies… disappointed they stuffed them in green olives which totally overpowered the little fishies… then a beautiful egg/potato/cheese omelet… well done as well. So 5 star ambiance, staff, and 3 star food… average it out… a 4… Los quatro star-os.

I have been here twice. The first time was excellent and the second time was just average. They have good meat but not when compared to real Argentinian steak houses, and the service isn’t perfect though there is a present owner who makes the place a thousand times better than it would be without him there. There is a tapas option, which is cool. I like small portions so it allows me to munch on that. The non-meat dishes are very good, and in my opinion this place is a solid 3.5 Unilocal star with an extra half bonus for the present owner.

Really wonderful Argentinian restaurant; it’s a favorite of one of my good friends who grew up here, and can see why. It’s got a warm, cozy vibe, w/wood and nice lighting. The food is a bit pricey, but delicious. Just happened in during Restaurant Week, I guess, because they had a special 3-course restaurant week menu for $ 27.95. Couldn’t pass that up, so I tried: 1st course: the barley soup w/little chunks of chorizo and beef(wonderful); the salad sounded great, too Entrée: the paella, which was loaded w/tender shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari and other good stuff(equally wonderful); my friend had the salmon(she lives here, and always orders the salmon), and it was delicious, too. Desert: vanilla ice cream topped w/whiskey and peaches(can’t argue w/that). They have some great wines, too, by the glass and bottle. Lots of malbecs, but the Pinot Noir was especially good.
