Just ok. I wish I could give this place 3 ½ stars instead of 3. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich, oysters and a Margarita. The only thing that kept it from a 4 was the service. One server for everyone. Get more servers now!!!

Terrible vodka tastes like bitter rubbing alcohol and unfiltered water. Bathrooms also leave a lot to be desired.

Love the back patio! Still have the ambiance of being on main street without actually being in the street. That option is also available tho, outside on street patio is pet friendly. The bloody Mary’s here are great! Actual celery sticks! Odd a lot of places lack this basic component of the drink! I got the Greek salad with tuna Also, Oysters and shrimp tacos All great and pretty quick service, very nice staff. Our server Lucas remembered my very picky drink order even half an hour later when I asked if he had recalled what my specifications were Great beach vibe only a block from the pier in Huntington beach

Amazing service from start to finish. We ordered New England clams as west coasters and did not enjoy the grittiness of them. The server and manager offered to comp them or buy us a beer. Being rookies to New England clams we didn’t want to be comped for our own mistake but they insisted on buying us a round of beer, which was indeed tasty and appreciated. Great place with great customer service!

I’ve been coming here for years but have never tried the prime rib until tonight. Unbelievably delicious and I can’t believe the price! You will not find a better prime rib — especially for the price — anywhere in Orange County! And Chelsea the bartender couldn’t be nicer :) I’ll be back!!!

First timer here and I really enjoy this spot. They have a front and back patio so feel free to pull up a chair and cherish the outdoors. I feel like the food is all the same on Main Street but the real difference is the staff and atmosphere. Amanda and Lea are super nice and very personable. I enjoyed a beer and a great lunch here. Will be back and will recommend to friends.

My boyfriend is lucky to live a block to the beach so on the weekend we enjoy walking to Main Street and grab something to eat and walk back. The last three weekends we have stop by this place because the mimosa is $ 2.50 and it’s the best. The omelette are great too. I usually have the lobster omelette and they fill it up with lobster. We love this hidden gem.

This is a nice little bar and restaurant on the main street of Huntington Beach and a great place to just sit outside and people watch. My cousin lives there so we went over and had a couple drinks and a snack one afternoon while I was visiting. I am a big craft beer fan so I tried a coconut IPA. Super good! My cousin had a bloody mary, she goes here often and loves their bloody marys. When you sit outside, you do have to order at least one food item, so we got the jerk wings. They were also very good and came out all drummies which I like. There was a bit of a sweet flavor to them, which I thought was weird for jerk but they were still good. I had a sample of another beer I was going to try but it was not as good as the coconut one so I got a second one of those. This was a great way to spend a couple hours on a sunny afternoon!

Longboards… My first and last time going. My friend and I were planning on going to the Brew Co on a Thursday night around 10pm. On our walk there from the car we saw Longboards and were intrigued. There was a menu on display outside that entailed the late night happy hour drinks and food. We thought what the hell let’s try somewhere new, and into Longboards we went. First impression was that it was tiny and there were dirty tables, although there were maybe only 10 customers inside. We took a seat at one of the high top tables and waited service. I guess because it was late and a Thursday they only had one girl on staff and we had to move to the bar to get served. Awkward. I went with a margarita and my friend got a Mai tai off the«happy hour» menu. They tasted alright but it was difficult to get the attention of the one bartender although we were one of two parties still ordering drinks. This is when it got weird. I ordered a second marg and my friend was starving(one of the only reasons we went inside was because the happy hour menu they had outside had a decent list of bar food available) so she attempted to order French fries. Our bartender apologized and said they don’t serve food this late. So bizarre considering they advertise otherwise on their menu. See the picture! After being thrown off from the lack of correct representation of what they serve, we asked for our check. Surprise surprise our drinks were not rung up at happy hour prices. I’m not one to make a huge deal about a couple bucks but at this point I was extremely frustrated about the false advertising. We brought it to the attention of the bartender and she seemed a little confused but gave us a discount and apologized. We tipped her 25% for that but overall we will never return here. It was extremely mediocre and just a weird experience. Better options close by, should have stuck to Brew Co.

Not bad, not great. If standard, no-frills American food with little flare and a small-ish beer selection is fine with you, then Longboard may be a good choice for your next downtown Huntington Beach outing! Longboard is conveniently situated just off of the Huntington pier on Main St. Like nearly every other restaurant on the strip, Longboard has a fairly narrow storefront with a back patio and a convenient outdoor seating area near the street. The number of brews on tap are few, but whomever is in charge has done a fairly good job with the selection, offering a bit of everything, even if the choices are more limited than I would personally like. Service was great and I really enjoyed the attentiveness of our server. She knew the food and was in good humor throughout our visit. However, the food was mediocre at best(and I generally like«pub» food). The fries were completely unseasoned(as in utterly tasteless) and their sandwiches were rather bland, as well. The Cheesesteak, touted as «Bruce’s Best» on the menu, is a seriously disappointing attempt if you’ve ever had a half-decent cheesesteak before. The homemade pasta salad was tasty as a side, but too heavy and oily to eat very much of. The egg dishes were very basic fare and the pesto chicken sandwich was«ok», but nothing any of us would likely order again. The quality of the food at Longboard is fine, but it’s inexcusably unexciting. This is where you go when you have a family of picky«meat and potato» eaters or are really new to the area and want to play it absolutely«safe» on the food front. If you’re hoping for a creative dish or something to earn your tastebuds’ respect, you won’t find it here. All in all, Longboards wasn’t a bad experience. It was a nice meal with good service, but they probably don’t deserve a Main St. presence for what they offer. Aside from the decent, albeit somewhat limited, beer selection, there is little reason to choose Longboard over one of the many other eateries that line Main Street in every direction. Still, it’s a Main St. classic and some will find comfort in its straightforward offerings.

Mehhhhhhhh… Sat in back patio. We were really the only ones on the back patio. Took a while to get service. Drinks took forever to arrive. Food also took forever to arrive. Our food was brought out same time people who sat down 20 minutes after us received their food. Server didn’t seem interested in taking care of us. Food was sub par. My sandwich(Reuben) was lacking sauerkraut and quite frankly love. Been coming to LBs for years and this was the worst experience we have had… I guess we chalk it up to post Xmas hangover?

Uhm so my family and I came in for their lobster fest deal. Pros: Cons: As we walked up to the podium the hostess made eye contact and looked away right after. We had to get attention to get seated. No greeting no welcome just«First come first serve». Great. That means –let the customers fight for their table. A little trickier when your a group of 7. So if it wasn’t for the lobster fest I would turn around and walk away just because of her misrepresentation of the company not wanting business. The staff was anything but helpful or was not of any kind of service. They seemed annoyed with a total«I hate me job» When we finally snagged a table we immediately sat down. The waitress came by and dropped off the menus on the dirty wet table then asked for our order. Uhm how bout wipe the table first and the menus so we can look at it and then order? Our waitress seemed more concerned about her flower tiara and twirling her hair while trying to listen to our order.

The people here obviously hate their jobs. And the award for«the worst waitress ever» goes to.: CANDICE! (if that’s even her real name– if its not, that’s okay because every one here pretty much deserves that award)

Sunday brunches with my sister don’t usually include shorts and bikini tops. This weekend, however was the exception! Thank goodness because damn it was hot in Huntington Beach today! We had arrived held early to get prime seating for the U.S. Open finals and had finally gotten hungry enough to want breakfast. Standing on Main St, the horrid«what sounds good?» Question was spoke. Ugh. We were starving and everything looked good. We’d been here already 4 different times, and really wanted something other than Sharkeez and BJ’s(she’s a picky eater.). She waved her hand at me, being the sassy 17 year old she is, and said«You have the Unilocal thingy, use that.» Genius idea, I was still half a sleep thank god she’s a morning person haha. We perused a few options and settled on LongBoards as it had a decent menu and plenty of open seating in the rear as their inside and front patio were completely packed! The host said it was self seating, so we wandered through the pub, past the kitchen and to the back patio. We choose a corner seat and the TV above was replaying the Blackhawks & Redwings game from the SC games. Lucky me, I am dying for a hockey fix, although I would have preferred Kings hockey lol. Anyhow, once we seated ourselves we decided to see how long it would take for our server to come over. It took 5 ½ minutes for the hostess to come over and ask if our server had been to see use yet. We told her no, she took our drink order and told us our server would be right over. 5 minutes later the waitress arrived with a beer and a root beer. We had ordered a Pepsi and a root beer. when I informed her of the mistake, she gave me a rude look, and walked away. Kinda confused at her reaction considering the hostess didn’t write our drink order down nor did the waitress ask which one of us ordered the beer, she just set it in front of my sister(still a minor.). She came back and attempted to be perky and said«Mkay, I fixed it! Are you guys ready to order or???» We placed our orders, one T.B.A Omelette and one Bacon & Waffles platter. 20 minutes later our plates finally came out. After 30 minutes of waiting, we were finally able to eat! Woohoo… on that note she only ended up Chey’s bacon & waffles plate came with 4 strips of bacon and 3 waffles topped with whipped cream. The waffles were a nice crispy golden brown, but they had the weirdest flavor. They honestly tasted like the chef mixed coffee into the batter. I thought I was trippin out at first, but when I asked my sister. She laughed and said no, she was waiting for me to ask so she didn’t seem crazy lmfao! She also got a side of home fries as well the home fries were diced potatoes with minimal seasoning but they were a-ok, and helped fill us up as we were going to need the energy for the sun. I got the Turkey Bacon Avocado Omelette, which came with a side of home fries. The omelette was okay, the chunks of avocado were far too large and should have been cut into smaller chunks not 4 or 5 slices piled in. The turkey was bland, moist but no flavor. The omelette was fluffy itself, topped with a generous helping of melted cheddar and jack cheeses and a nice portion of chopped up bacon. They didn’t have the option at all for ham on the menu which was odd to me because i really don’t like turkey but that seemed to be in most of the breakfast options :/ The food was okay, definitely filling but I dunno if I would go out of my way to come here again. Maybe to try their lunch and dinner menu? That seemed a lot more expansive so that would be a possibility. For breakfast though, I will pass. There are a few better options on Mains St for breakfast I think. Decent food, ok but friendly staff, and a chill vibe, I guess it was a halfway good choice :/

Visited Longboard for happy hour on Tuesday 7-21-2015 and have been coming here for at least 20 years! i just love this place for its ambiance, great food and great service! Longboard on main street never disappoints me! My favorite table is near the Entrance with the windows looking out to main street! It allows me to enjoy the great food and people watching at the same time. I ordered the Tuesday evening corned beef special for $ 8.95(what a steal) my wife wanted to order her usual lobster roll but our waitress Natasha advised us to order the whole lobster instead for $ 19.99!(best deal in town) the lobster was excellent, succulent and juicy and best of all not chewy ! My corned beef was just tasty and should be served with some of the cooking broth or else the meal is too dry! the cabagge portion was very good but too small, the boiled potatoes were great! Last but not least, long board has an excellent draft beer selection. My favorite is Lagunita IPA. Overall we enjoyed eating at longboard on main street!

The Longboard Restaurant and Pub is the happiest place on planet earth for us, sorry Disneyland and Disneyworld!, we are regulars and come here twice a week for happy hour and stay for dinner. This pub had a delightful ambiance, we felt really cozy among all the beautiful longboards on the walls. They had about 10HD TVs hanging on the wall, the pub just exploded with excitement each time there was a game. I ordered my favorite drinks, the margarita and the Mai Tai, they were both excellent, my only complaint was that over the years their margarita glass kept on getting smaller! They also had all kinds of beer for happy hour for those who drank beer. We come here every year for their lobsterfest in September through October, it was always festive and they had fresh lobsters from Maine. I ordered a lobster roll, they had 2 styles, the cold roll with mayo or the hot one with garlic butter, I usually had the garlic butter roll. It was the best lobster roll on earth, better than anything I had on the East coast because in Maine, all they had was the cold lobster roll. The portion was generous, it also came with either a salad or French fries. The lobster roll is available all year round. My husband loved the corned beef, it was tender, moist and flavorful, better than any corned beef we had in Irish pubs, the cabbage that came with it was so delicious. It used to be on special every Tuesday, which coincided with the street fair so we usually had a nice stroll after dinner, now it is a special on Wednesday, it does not matter, everyday is a lovely day in Surf City. Huntington Beach is the happy hour paradise, there are more bars here than any other beach cities but the Longboard is the best of them all. We sat by the window and it was relaxing to watch people reveling in the street, we will be back again and again!

Great breakfast spot in Huntington Beach. First time eating here because I usually go to Sugar Shack, but after hearing the wait there was 30+ minutes for a table, I went to Longboards next door and got seated right away! I ordered the gringo breakfast burrito which had eggs, cheese, bacon, sour cream and avocado inside… it was delicious! Came with some potatoes on the side and salsa and ketchup. For the food provided, the price was excellent. They had delicious peach and raspberry mimosas for $ 3.50 each! Will definitely be back for breakfast and drinks here. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

This review is limited to the lobsterfest deal they have until November 9th of this year: $ 24 for two lobsters! It’s definitely a YOLO moment. But if you want to try some other food, like a half dozen oysters for $ 8.95, you can share your lobster for an additional $ 2.50 split charge. For once, this split charge makes sense. That’s because they give you extra sides so each person receives a few small potatoes, some butter, and a half corn on the cob. No reservations. Plus, you seat yourself, but there’s patio seating out front as well as in the back. The only issue about outdoor seating comes from nature: flies! They bugged the @#$% out of me, but not enough to keep me from enjoying my $ 13 lobster meal. Eat with one hand, and waive them away with the other.
