As far as the food goes, normal subway food, nothing to complain about. However, as a paying customer, I was not happy that they don’t have water cups. My three year old son was parched after playing at the beach. We had already packed up our stuff in the car(including his water bottle) and were just grabbing a bite. I asked for a water cup and was informed that they don’t carry water cups. Wtf? Sure, I could buy an expensive bottle of water but I’m not going to. I get it, it’s the beach and maybe they are sick of people coming in and quenching their thirst without buying something. Maybe have water cups for paying customers? Maybe have tiny paper cups? Just something. I had to take my parched little guy to another place to get him water. Two thumbs down for that. Update: For the record, I complained to the store. The manager called me and explained that it’s not cost effective to provide paper cups for customers, paying or non paying. I told him the restaurant next door has tiny paper pixie cups for anyone that comes in, paying or not. He stood his ground. I hope this place goes out of business. To deny water to a paying customer is horrible business practice.

I went to this subway to purchase a sub on Saturday afternoon during U.S. Open after 20 mins waiting and with the door open letting all the cigarette smoke inside the girl at the cash register rang up my order under cash and I clearly handed her a debit card she continued to swipe my card I would say about 30 times between swiping she was taping my card hard enough to break it now over the weekend I have no bank card, so 30 mins later I got no sub and a broken card thanks for the help i live down town so I am a regular and won’t be returning back in fact to another subway again due to my inconvenience of time wasted inline with a crack card and a reordering fee from my bank and the disrespect of my property!

These guys just refused to give me a water cup after buying a $ 9 foot long sub, they were nice about it but stated it’s a new policy after beach goers took advantage. Dehydrated and exhausted from a beach day =/seems not right

What a great location, what a great customer service, the only drawback is there is no Parking which is true for all the businesses in the area so its expected! But other than that totally 5 stars for this place.

Food is the same as other subways but Cameron has excellent customer service, I really appreciate his helpfulness and thinking about the customer first: D

The management here must be terrible. Employees are not allowed to give a cup for water. Instead you have to pay for a fountain drink to get ice water. LAME…

My god, this is the worst fast food experience we ever had. After ordering two foot long subs from them, the guy helping me said something to the effect, «is that all you’re going order for all of you?» Then the second server was stone-cold and always looking annoyed that I am requesting for lectuce, olive, etc. Then the last girl serving me had no attitude but won’t offer any water. First place for Worst fast Food.

I have eaten at subways across the country, basically, my whole life. I have never had worse customer service or rude handling. The sandwich«artist» Stephanie Rust refused water, which is illegal. The general manager Wade Brawn, said they legally provided water but no cup. I purchase subway frequently, no problem in affording a water bottle here, which is what i did, but still I resented the rude treatment and the basic accommodation of customer service. Shame on you Subway, you are located on the pier of a beach town, it’s the middle of summer! Should you have a paying customer request a water cup, at least have one available for your patrons. This is basic stuff to me, and should be to you as well! I live up the way, will not be returning to this location, which is a franchise so I understand this subway can do things differently, but just know that every single one of your franchise brothers offers water cups, sad for you to lose regular business over rude employees and cheap procedures.

Rude manager and horrible customer service. Used to love subway but this experience will make me think twice before eating at another subway. Went there with a coupon, ordered my food and then was told at the cash register that they do not take that coupon at their location. Manager decided it was better to waste my food than to give it to me my food at the coupon(that was not expired) price.

Access: Easy In– Parking garage entrance around the corner. Subway Validates– just remember to Take Your Ticket In for them to stamp. The receipt was not good enough. I had to pay the 2.00. Boo. Food/Service: Good Subway, nice kids, fast, sammies on-point.

This is your typical Subway, except they do not serve coffee and do not participate in the $ 3 Breakfast Combo deal. It normally comes with soda or coffee, and even though I actually wanted soda, they wouldn’t sell me the $ 3 breakfast combo. The employees are generally really nice(especially Sam and Mario). They are quick and efficient. There are some employees that are really sloppy at putting sandwiches together(even though I was the only customer there) or very stingy with the ingredients. One time I asked for spinach instead of lettuce in my sandwich. The lady gave me like 4 pieces of spinach. When I asked for more, she gave me 2 more pieces of spinach. Then I gave up on asking for more. The prices here are always higher than other Subways. For example, $ 5 footlong deals are like $ 5.75 or $ 5.xx. I’m guessing the franchise owner sets the prices within parameters allowed by Corporate.

Despite the hype for this area, we really did have an awesome visit. The sandwich was made with utmost care and the service was quite alright. The area was clean and we sat in and ate. No complaints, and most importantly… everything tasted fresh!

This subway is exactly like the 10 million subways. except. take that sub and cross the street with it and eat it at the beach. A huge plus if you have a dog with you so you not end up being raided by seagulls.

I am a huge fan of Subway since they have affordable healthy fast food options. I was interning just a block away from this location and frequented for the duration of the internship, 2 months long. The workers are some of the best I have ever had serve me. They always make sure to say Welcome when you walk in. They always get your order right and make sure to ask along the way what you want and make sure to let you know if something costs extra even if you get it everytime like me, I always get avocado. The servers are also very calm, cool and collected when there is a rush like when the US Open was in town. I would definitely recommend this place if you are around the Huntington Beach Pier and are looking for cheap healthy food.

Ok, I like Subway. There. I said it. As far as subways go… this one is good. The only issue I ever had here was I got my «Cold cut combo» on Italian herbs and went through the process… no pickles, no peppers. And went to eat it… something was wrong. I couldn’t place it. Finally I figured it out. It was too dry. They hadn’t put oil & vinegar on it. Huh? I thought about it… they didn’t ask. I remember that after all the toppings they simply asked, «Anything else?» So the next time I went in. the owner was there… and I asked him. «Are they«supposed» to ask if I want oil & vinegar on it? He assured me they WERE supposed to ask. I mentioned they didn’t and the sandwich was dry as a result and he apologized and wouldn’t let me pay for my lunch that day. Classy guy. Anyways…it’s nice to be able to eat on the cheap at the beach… we stop here regularly during the summer… grab a couple of sandwichs and head to the sand. You always know what you get will be want you want with Subway. And at this one… if you don’t…he’ll make it right. And that’s a good thing. Don’t come here super early tho… as I recall they don’t open till like 10am I think…

Food is good at any Subway, just about. The staff seemed a bit slow though. in both respects of the term. My friends and I were in the store for at least three minutes before anyone said hello or asked us what we wanted. Then the guy tried charging me over $ 8 for a six inch veggie and a small drink. Turns out he was charging me for two drinks… I still thought that was a bit expensive yet.
