Just good– good wings, good pizza but nothing to jump for joy over. Soft crust, great amount of cheese but not a ton of flavor. We went for a change of pace and will go back, but not anytime soon. Microbrews are decent– a number of TV’s so if you want to watch a game it’s great!

Oggi’s has closed! Must not have only been me who didn’t dig the kidzone bar. I’ve heard rumors Panera is coming in where it used to be.

So we gave Oggi’s another chance since its close and the kids can roam around. Service was very slow and they gave us no attention. They had to run to the grocery store in the same shopping center to get milk. The bar is still lacking in quality spirits and variety. The food Is still decent though. This is ashame because Oggi’s used to be a consistent go to local place for good food, service, drinks and sports. Unless Oggi’s gets their act together I will be amazed if they survive the summer.

The pizza is good here, if you’ve been to one Oggi’s, you ‘ve been to them all. Great place to watch games and have a beer and some pizza.

In town for the Surf City Marathon, I needed a place to stuff my face and drink beer after the race. Problem was, I had my 20 year old nephew with me, so that ruled any sports bars out. I started a Unilocal Talk thread asking for help and the HB Unilocalers stepped up big for me. There were many places suggested, but Oggi’s seemed to make the most sense. Pizza, beer, and TV’s to watch the superbowl — I’m a simple man. We ended up ordering the Heavyweight pizza. To be honest, I think it was good, but after a marathon(OK fine, I only ran the half — but that’s still 13.1 miles!!!) a frozen pizza would have been good at this point. But what I can give props to was how meaty it was. Seriously, with every bite, chunks of meat were falling off into my plate. That coupled with their house IPA and I was in hog heaven… By halftime, I was half a pizza in and I had killed a good 3 mugs of the IPA. Considering how my day started, I was feeling NICE!!! We ordered the wings too, but to be honest, there was nothing real memorable about them. If I had to point to the one thing I was served that made the most of an impression with me, it was the beer. A pizza joint with a full bar — 1 star Their own beer(feelin’ that IPA) — 1 star Staff was friendly and attentive — 1 star

Mediocricy. Came to Oggi’s since we were craving plzza, and didn’t want to travel far. Big mistake. Took awhile to get greeted. Not a good sign. Our server was nice, but considering the location, it worked. Ordered the buffalo wings as an appetizer. They were decent. Except the HAIR in the ranch. Should’ve gone to Wings n Things, as it was wings Wednesday. Anyways, we ordered the large pizza on a thin crust. Came out on thick crust. The server acknowledged it was her mistake and informed her manager. This is what gets me: The manager comes up, proceeds to pull out a chair and sit with us. WTF? She acknowledges the mistake, and instantly says she’s gonna take 20% off for the pizza to make up for the mistake. How about not sitting down with us, taking the pizza back and making us what we ordered? What about the hair in the ranch? Hope I wasn’t charged extra for that! The beer? So So. Wasn’t really cold.

I live pretty much across the street from Oggi’s. It’s my go to place for some wings and pizza, for the proximity. Not the best wings or pizza, but not bad either. Buffalo wings are decent size, not over cooked. They give you blue cheese as an option so that is a plus for me. I hate ranch dressing. Pizza is a thick crusted pizza(compared to NY pizza), but the toppings are fresh and evenly distributed, so that is a plus. They have some good beers on draft like blue moon, fat tire, and their own microbrewery which is pretty good. i wish they had more IPAs. But that is just my preference.

We were remodeling a townhome my friend just bought and totally exhausted and hungry at almost 10pm looking for someplace good that would still be open when our eyes landed on Oggi’s. We straggled in at 9:50, 10 minutes before closing and asked pleadingly if they would seat 3 dusty ragamuffins. We were very graciously seated and told we’d just need to order quickly before the kitchen closed. Yes! We split a pizza, the half I tried was margherita and was delicious. The crust was nice and thick(ordered it as a thick crust not the usual thin because the other half was veggie pizza). We didn’t get a chance to try their garlic knots, but I’m a garlic knot fiend and will be back to see how Oggi’s does garlic knots.

Well for 40 bucks I would have gone elsewhere but their mini pizzas are probably well worth it… Oggi Sticks(basically cheesy breadsticks with marinara dipping sauce) Mini Pizza– half double pepperoni, half artichoke & olive(I enjoyed it) Wings– Bf said they were shit Calzone — This was an odd choice for my BF but he really liked it for the price this place is not worth it, I may go here for a drink but ordering food to your house when there is mini-mex, munchies and blackwatch around the corner… I feel like a fool

This place is literally 2 minutes from my house. I’ve been here a couple of times before, but never to eat. Just meet up with a friend and grab a drink. Beers that I’ve had previously were good, nothing spectacular. Decided we wanted something different for lunch on Sunday but didn’t want to really go out. I suggested Oggi’s and a look at the on line menu was really promising! We ordered the Garlic Knots that were supposed to come«tossed in garlic butter sauce». When asked for a side of the garlic butter sauce the deer in headlights reaction was given, a stammering, «Uh, let me see what I can do» was the reaction and the result? A little black sauce container with a cube of solid butter in it. WTH??? The knots came with marinara, which was decent and a side of ranch(?). However, they were much too doughy and dense for our liking. The Prosciutto Mac and Cheese was a HUGE disappointment. There was zero flavor and a bland, watery sauce. Even the few little morsels of Prosciutto had no taste. The 4 – 5 tiny sprigs of broccoli were limp and overcooked. The Vodka Penne di Parma had potential, but fell flat. There were lots of tender, juicy pieces of chicken and beautiful slices of mushrooms. The red peppers could have been cut a little more consistently. Some were bite size, some tiny and some huge chunks. The sauce did have a bit of flavor but there was no seasoning to be found other than some red pepper flakes once you got to the bottom of the dish. Had the sauce not been so watery and some salt and pepper added, this could have been way more enjoyable. Website ordering for pickup was nice and easy. However, it was odd that there was no option to pay with cash when you picked up. They could learn a thing or two about this from Athen’s West in the same shopping center.

Oggi(Today in Italian) seems like a kind of confused attempt at a niche that found it’s niche, nonetheless. Tons of TV’s playing sports and a micro-brew menu on tap suggest a guy’s guy sports pub type place. But the video games in the corner’s create a diversion for the kids as well. A menu that’s as long as a Russian novel provides lots of choices and some surprisingly good food. Pizzas(both thick and thin crust — including some awesome appetizer thin pizza’s), pastas, burger/sandwiches — and the best is a HUGE appetizer selection. The heavy noise and bustling atmosphere make this a great place to go with young children. As a family friendly sports pub, this place is top notch. Not where you want to go for that«special evening» with the spouse/sig-o, but a great place to go for a meal and relaxation with the family.

They changed their menu, and it’s ok. I like pizza. I like beer. So, I like Oggi’s. Do I like it as much as my parents? No. Do I like it enough that if I am in the area I’ll go there? Yup. I like that they are a micro-brewery, and have their own beer. Their boneless wings reminded me of chicken fingers smothered in hot sauce. Maybe that’s the point. Anyways, I’d rather go to Lamppost Pizza in Irvine for wings and beer.

So my first impression of Oggi’s is only ok… nothing spectacular ! Was brought here for a birthday celebration and although it was free pizza it didn’t leave me gagging for more. Wasn’t greeted as I walked in and had to find our own party — which wasn’t hard but then when I sat down and has to ask for my own cup for my drink it kinda lowered the already declining points. Pizza was ok — nothing special and honestly nothing better than I could have made at home or ordered from the cafeteria at work. The service kinda sucked especially for a table of like 20 people. I don’t know, but being in business the first thing I would think of for a party of 20 is working hard for my monhay okkayy? * My host is super clean and we all watched her clean and take up plates to the service desk — Wouldn’t the 5 people working say«Oh no Miss let me handle this». A little tacky if you ask me. The Men’s restroom was small and smelt really horrible — hourly checks anyone? The menu looked interesting so I possibly will return — but not with any hope.

Great place to come to watch Sunday Football. They have every game on in designated areas so you are sure to be able to see your team’s game somewhere in the restaurant. If you get there early enough they’ll put your game on a TV in the bar area for you. The servers and staff are all pretty friendly. I come here to watch my dreadful 49ers when I’m in HB and I’ll always start out with an Irish Coffee before diving into a pitcher of beer sometime after 11AM =). I’ve had the breakfast here and it wasn’t bad, but I think the pizza is the way to go. I’ve had the personal pizza which I customized with pepperoni, olives and jalapenos and it was pretty damn good. I really liked the crust… it hit the spot. If you’re looking for a place to hang out and watch football… I’d say this is a great place to do it.

Okay, tried it out for the first time the other night(first time saw Father naked) and overall pretty satisfied. — Perfect Caesar Salad with fresh grated parmesan on top. Nice croûton ratio. It ain’t always easy getting a good caesar. — Big, cold mug of the California Gold beer in a 24oz mug. Damn straight. — Got a pizza with green peppers and it was average. Cheese got all over the place, which is always cool. Thick crust style with not the best sauce on earth. Poor ranch dressing. — After having read the reviews earlier, I was surprised that the service was very good. My waitress had a new girl shadowing her in training, so that may have had something to do with it. One gal working in there looked like Tiger Woods’ wife or ex-wife. Not sure if they are still going out. — Bunch of TVs, but they only had X-Games playing. I do like X-Games, but was hoping the Padre baseball would also be on. Made me realize that it’s not really much of a «sports bar» destination. I’d go back one day. May be awhile, but I’d go back. Give it three and a half stars.

— Locale destination — It’s in a shopping mall across street from Huntington Beach High School. It’s a bit dark inside, looked like a sport bar.(I came here because my friend told me they got a good pizza. I expected that it was more like a pizza joint.) There’s a bar with lots of TVs for games. Friendly service. — Gluttony expedition — Menu is huge — appetizers, salad, sandwich, pasta, pizza, and entrees etc. I stuck to pizza just because they use«pizza» on their name ;) There’re some interesting pizza menu. I had to wait a bit longer than usual just because the over was broken. The waitress told me all the pizza takes 15 min or so usually. BBQ chicken pizza: BBQ sauce was kinda like a ketchup with a hint of BBQ sauce. Tons of chicken, red onions and cilantro. When I tried to pick the slice up, almost everything was about to slide onto the box… I tried Medium(14 inch), it was huge. Pizza crust was a bit thicker than NY, but soft and fresh. The rim crust is so thick like Domino’s(though it’s soft), it looked a lot bigger than it was. I could eat only 2 slices. I don’t like the thick rim, but I’m happy overall. — Conqueror’s deduction — Overall 3.5 stars. Melting cheese, tons of toppings, and fresh and good pizza crust. Better satisfaction than all of the pizza I’ve ever tried.(Nick’s is still my favorite pizza«topping» :D)

Come here to meet the girls sometimes after work due to a hectic week or whatever. The service is always friendly. Not the best place to watch sports as it gets so packed in there you feel like a sardine in a tin can just waiting for release Food is ok… nothing spectactular and prices are decent

Pros: Good pizza and house microbrew beers. Friendly service during less busy periods. Cons: Recently began to suck as a place for sports; although they’ve got a bunch of TVs, I heard owner doesn’t want to pay ASCAP fee to have audio from the games. Instead, watch the Lakers play to the smooth sounds of Muzak … seriously. Evenings and big-game days are understaffed — can have moderate waits for service, but it’s not usually too bad.
