Love At First Bite Catering

I ordered the Wednesday before my company’s event on Saturday catering for about 50 people. A lot of other catering companies were already booked (understandably) and we really only wanted hors d’oeuvres and such so LAFB was able to get it done! We had wanted a really nice set-​up since it was for Senator Lara’s press conference and boy did they deliver! The set-​up was beautiful and the person who was setting it up, I didn’t catch her name, was really nice and went out of her way to do everything I needed done. She even brought back disposable trays so that we could easily take the leftover food home (she packed it for us and everything!). So we ordered the pita/​hummus, vegetable crudités, antipasto platter, and fresh fruit. The fresh fruit was really sweet and ripe which was good. However, the fruit pieces were cut a little too large and I didn’t like that the kiwi wasn’t peeled. The vegetable crudités were delicious, people really enjoyed the ranch sauce that was provided. The antipasto platter was delicious as well! It was a big hit with our guests. There was even a sauteed vegetable platter, that I wasn’t sure of which package it came with, but that was delicious. Everyone came up to me and asked where I had found them at because they really enjoyed the food. So thanks, LAFB! You guys were amazing. I worked with Mindy to get the invoice and everything ready– and she’s lovely.

I used them for an open house. It was last minute, and they took care of everything, it was easy, they were timely and everything was perfect. The food was delicious and presentation was great. I will use them again in the future and would be happy to recommend them to others. Very professional and nice!!!

This company was very easy to work with and they were on time and prepared for both the drop off and pick up. I put 4 instead of 5 because the food didn’t have much flavor and the 2 of the items I chose did not look very appetizing. It may just have been my choices but overall a great company and I would definitely recommend them.

Get the Mac n Cheese and your man will be happy! We hosted a couples baby shower at our home in Huntington Beach and LAFB was amazing. The men went crazy for the pulled pork sliders and the ladies loved the individually tossed bbq chicken salad! But I have to say that the biggest hit was Patricia and Kathy. Everyone kept coming up to us and saying that their service matched incredible restaurant service. We had 35 guests and Patrica and Kathy started by making sure every guest had the beverage of their choice and then tray passed appetizers throughout the whole house as people were all over the place. We will use LAFB again and try more of their delicious food. We will also request Patricia and Kathy. LAFB went over the top accommodating us. Due to weather we moved our start time up two hours. The day of our party!

We love LAFB. We had them cater our engagement party and most recently a birthday luau. They always go above and beyond. The food is always amazing and a highlight of the parties. They setup early and really make the food apart of the party. We will continue to use them for all our catering needs. Thank you!!!

So happy we worked with LaFB for our company Xmas party. So helpful right from the get-​go! Easy to work with, accommodating, prompt, and professional. Everyone we spoke with the entire process was really nice, and on top of it. Menu options are way more interesting than other companies, but still have some classics. We had a few last-​minute changes that were accommodated quickly with no fuss. The two staff that were at the actual party were awesome at what they did, really kind, and made everything super easy for us! Also the presentation was fantastic. The food of course was really delicious! Everyone commented on how good it was, and how plentifully it was supplied. So happy with our experience. Would 100% work with them again, and recommend them to everyone who asked!

The Captain did such a fantastic job at our event. We had a group of about 35 people and everyone was impressed by the food, display and service. Captain saw that I had refilled my cup with water a couple of times so he took the cup out of my hand and replaced it with a bottle. Very attentive. The food was especially good because they incorporated their homemade buns for the sandwiches and homemade mustard. Nice details. The Captain arrived on time and cleaned up in a timely manner. Thank you for making it easy for me!

love at first bite did my daughers wedding august 23^rd. The food was excellent. We had marinated tri tip, Portobello mushroom chicken, risotto, asparagus, pear salad, rolls, We had stuffed mushrooms and spinach filled filo dough appetizers along with a cheese platter. I asked for the tri tip to be on the rare side and it was done to perfection. Lisa who is the wedding coordinator was a huge help both before and during the wedding. Everyone at the wedding raved about the food not only that it was good but the presentation on the plate was nice also.

I have personally dealt with John for several years and attended several catered events by Love at First Bite. To date, with over 7 years of attending catered events and referring this company out to several friends, I have always been impressed on the catered spread and selections. I see how meticulous and prideful John is when putting together menus and cooking for events, with absolution.
I have never hesitated referring this company out to any of my friends (and that’s saying a lot… see my other reviews) because my faith has never wavered in John and his team.
I have tried everything from their pasta dishes, deli plates, desserts, sandwiches and salads and have always been happy to gobble down whatever comes my way. Great job John and Love at First Bite! You have definitely earned your company name!

Love At First Bite Catering is absolutely the best you will find! They are very professional while still remaining approachable, which is such a rare gem these days. I have worked with dozens of caterers before finding Love At First Bite Catering and I have used them for every event I plan in the Orange County Area. Lisa is amazing, she works tirelessly to make sure your event will be perfect, and the entire staff goes way above and beyond what their duties are. They are all happy to help, and it lends to an event that flows seamlessly because everyone works together and is happy to do so. I have spent hours with John and Lisa going over menu’s, linens, table placements, etc and they always have made sure that any concerns or changes I had are addressed/​fixed. I could write pages about how amazing they are but I doubt anyone would really appreciate that :). They are amazing!!!

Can’t say enough about these caterers. Great to work with and most importantly delicious food! My company used them for a couple of Christmas parties and my then boyfriend and I loved it so much we had decided long before we were engaged that we would use them for our wedding. We had them cater for our July 2013 wedding and our food was great, the portions were generous, and the service was amazing. We’ll use them for any other big event we have and hopefully they cater our Christmas party this year too :)

Love at First Bite catered my grandmother’s funeral and did a great job. John, the owner, was very professional and easy to work with in setting up the menu, accommodated various changes, and coordinating together for the day of the event. The caterers showed up on time, were also just as professional as John, and set everything up with no problems and promptly. Everyone at the event commented on how great the food was and several people came up to me to let me know how good the food was throughout the reception. My grandmother was a caterer and my family and I think that the event was catered just the way she would’ve liked it.
i will definitely use this company in the future and will recommend them to my friends.

The worst customer service I have ever encountered, they catered my engagement party for 40 people, didn’t bring any of the dips for chicken tenders as advertised, emailed us the day before wanting to drop the food off 2 hours before guests even arrived, then when I called to get things straight, the coordinator answered the phone with «what, this is the 4^th phone call about your party today, the food will be fine we leave it sitting at weddings for 6 – 8 hours at a time all the time» as if food sitting for 8 hours was supposed to comfort me somehow, just a horrible experience save yourself 1500 dollars and go to Costco which is where all their crap came from anyhow!!! If you do go with them don’t have Lisa handle your arrangements, if you want anything the way you order it.

This company is excellent. I worked a wedding they were catering at the Huntington beach library and the staff was very professional and organized. There was also another company who catered a different part of the meal for the wedding and this company was so unorganized that the nice guys from love at first bite had to help them the whole evening. I was really impressed. The food they served was all bacon themed, and everything tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this company for their great food, and great employees. Good job guys.

They did an awesome job with my parent’s 50^th anniversary. Great food great support and not pushy. They truly were love at first bite!

I went to a party that was catered by Love At First Bite. OMG! The penne pasta dish and carrot cake were to die for! I’m NOT a carrot cake fan and I inhaled it within a few minutes. I’ll definitely keep them in mind if I ever need a caterer.
