Very good especially for the price. I recommend this place. It looks a bit shabby on the outside but I was very impressed on the quality of the food.

Had lunch on a Thursday. No buffet available but an $ 8.99 lunch special that included soup, an entrée and dessert. Food was good, plenty of it to fill you up. Service was good, atmosphere okay. Negative was the place was a little warm, the a/c should have been turned on. Restaurant floor plan is a bit funky do to the buffet stations.

So I went here with fairly high hopes. I love Peruivan food and the thought of an all-you-can eat Peruvian feast was just too hard to resist. I came at dinner time on a Saturday and the place seemed pretty empty. There was nobody at the hostess station, I had to walk around the corner to find someone and they just told me to sit wherever, and I think they told me in spanish but I couldn’t really understand them haha. The décor was a bit dated and they had a TV on the wall playing some Spanish speaking station. The food ranged from poor to just okay. I’m sure it would have been much better if it was fresh but it looked and tasted like it had been sitting there since lunch time. They have a mix of Peruvian food and Chinese food which could have been tastey if it was fresh. Pricing was about $ 10 a person which would have been a good price if the food was better but was overpriced for the quality. I most likely will not be back.

If you compare a buffet to a good-quality restaurant of the same type, the buffet will *always* come up short. So let’s compare apples to apples, or buffet to buffet for this review– no fair asking a buffet to live up to the likes of Inka Cantina! For vat food, this was pretty good; I’d say better than Hometown Buffet and for half the cash. Granted, you can’t get a crêpe at Inca Gourmet, and the Lomo Saltado has to sit around under a light instead of being served to you freshly stir-fried with the potatoes — it gets drier and tougher that way. So if you’re looking for that most popular Peruvian dish to blow you away at this restaurant, you’re going to be mighty disappointed. IG does best with the stew– and mashed– type dishes, soups, and of course, Ceviche. Try the beef cilantro stew, the chicken with tomato sauce, the thing that looks like mashed sweet potatoes mixed with vegetables, the«steam fish», and the Cau Cau if you can stand it, for good examples of what IG does best. If I seem clueless trying to describe the food, it’s because I am. I’m new to the Peruvian cuisine scene, and there aren’t many clear, accurate labels on these vats. Sometimes you’ll see staff switching the vats out to different positions in the buffets without bothering to change the labels… you never really know what you’re getting if you’re not experienced with this food beforehand. Yes, that’s me. So I get to sound like a deep-fried, biscuit-eatin’ dork writing my review. But for eight to ten bucks AYCE. I’ll put up with this small frustration. One more thing: the desserts here range from Meh to Fabulous. In the solid middle is this thickened plum-y sauce stuff that I think is called Morcado, or somesuch. The flan is a nice homestyle, curdy type that’s well-soaked in the sauce. But do not leave before you try this apple-filled cake thingy without a name. I’d go back to IG just for that, it’s so good… maybe I’ll invent a name for it. How ’bout«applake», or «cakapple». Yes, cakapple. Try the cakapple, fellow Unilocalers. It’s the opposite of «badong».

I have to give this place a 4 star so people start recognizing it. Because as we know buffets are better and better as more people go there. Very cheap and fresh food with friendly service. 100 dishes of chicken, plantains, a lot of rice dishes, noodles and other meat dishes. This hidden little place worth to try, especially if you are not vegetarian! Try it and let them know how it was ;)

Ok, first i guess it depends on the day you go. Saturdays are great… green rice and chicken… i go just for that! The variety is good… and its buffet so the service is quick. I took my father who is peruvian and he said he had food there he hasnt had since he was a kid, so he obviously enjoyed it! Its like 10 bucks… for all you can eat on weekends and 7 during the week… i think it is worth it, and yes i will continue to visit!

Pretty good, no complaints. I come here for parties because my family loves it here. $ 9.99 is pretty good, but I really love their ceviche with the cilantro rice! So good! I love the Inca cola as well. Very refreshing. They have lamb and other interesting foods that I wouldn’t really eat, but if you’re adventurous, then come here. They used to have ice cream here which I used to love after my meal and now they took it out. Maybe because of their budget, but their dessert isn’t that great. Just come try it out and see it for yourself.

For the record, this is my first ever review of any place that I have ever been a customer of. Both my girlfriend and I felt Ill after eating here. Is it acceptable to have a dinner plate that wasn’t washed properly and there’s still dried food on the underside? What about another dinner plate that was on top of a completely different stack that had clearly visible dried food on the plate? Well that’s what happened on our 1stAND last visit to this place. The orange chicken was NOT hot OR fresh as it should have been. Same with their green beans that were very tough. I tried their yellow cake. Should cake be all dried out? There’s WAS. The only things that were reasonably edible for human consumption from what I selected, was some kind of green rice, an egg roll, a small slice of chocolate cake, and the soda. My girlfriend got the shrimp with rice, which is what we believe what made her feel ill afterwards. Mind you, she didn’t have anything to eat before eating here. We call the restaurant to address the issue, which is the proper thing to do because since this, IS, a Food service based industry, and if there’s any issues, they need to know about it promptly! So the drone that answers the phone says they will have the owner call us back. The«Owner» calls my girlfriend back the next day, and immediately gives the following statement after we explain to him our experience: «Prove it. My cooks know how to handle the food. Call the cops or an attorney» and that he refuses to refund ANY of our meal. «Excuse me? Wow, what an A-hole. First off Mister, your lucky we did not become severely sick, because trust me, I would have no problem suing you. Furthermore, we weren’t asking for a refund on both our meals you ignorant uneducated swine. We were only reporting how we felt after eating YOUR food, from YOUR establishment, that YOUR cooks, prepared In YOUR restaurant. These people are NOT respective business owners, if they were, they would have addressed the issue properly, by at least apologizing, AND most importantly, by asking what we may have selected to eat during our visit. If you want stale dried out food that may give you food poisoning and where they cant even wash the dishes properly. GO here. If not, go to a more well known RESPECTABLE establishment that actually CARES, about their patrons.

I dont get why everyone complains about this place. I mean the service is great, the waitresses are sweet and kind and fair to everyone. Bathrooms are okay, the food is amazing for a great price all you can eat, I mean peruvian food is unlike any other you ever tried, its 6.99 during the week and 9.99 buffet during the weekend, difference is that its better in variety in the weekend. I mean its better then other peruvian restaurants, cause honestly for a dish in other peruvian restaurant, per dish is like 11.99 and up, but in Inca Gourmet you can eat all you want for 6.99 during week and 9.99 during weekend, great price for amazing food, plus now you can also buy peruvian products in this place as well, Not the best as in fancy interior, but a restaurant is based on its food and this is the best peruvian place ever !

Everyone complains about this place, it ISN’T that bad. it isn’t all good either, they have dishes that you want to say it taste like crap but then again, they have dishes that are delicious. I have been here a few times, and lately I have gone to take food to go. it’s 3.99 per lb and I normally buy 1.5lbs and its plenty of food for a big eater like me. So again, don’t expect high class dining, but for what it is and the price, it’s a value, variety is good and lots to chose from.

I was in the area running some errands and decided to check this place. Normally I’d go to the Lawndale location, but his place is bigger and has a better layout. I think most people have underestimated this place. If you are used to Pollo Inca and you are not peruvian, this place is not for you. Instead, if you want to be Anthony Bourdain(you won’t find huevos de toro here) while you are dining here then this buffet is for you. Peruvian food is so much complex and has different varieties. Started with some cebiche, then followed by lomo saltado and some chicken stews. Then proceeded with some cau cau(tripe) and the arroz con mariscos. Luckily I left room for desserts and was thrilled when I saw they had lucuma ice cream, which I bought separately. Service was good and my water was always refilled. I recommend to come here on weekdays, because on weekends is absolutely busy. There are so many scavengers waiting the cebiche it won’t even last 2 minutes. They also serve wine, beer, chicha and passion fruit drink. See you next time Inca Gourmet

This restaurant replaced a chinese buffet, which was easily hands-down the worst chinese food i’ve ever eaten. let me rephrase that; the peruvian buffet replaced a chinese buffet which served the worst food(of any kind) that i’ve ever eaten. So you can understand my trepidation at gambling on what could have simply been a change of menu. Happily, this is not the case. Parking isn’t great, because it shares a corner-adjacent lot with a liquor store and a massage parlor. The price is a better deal on weekdays, and takes a 50% jump on the weekends. The service has always been friendly and good. I have been to this restaurant many times, and the selections are inconsistent. Some of the ones you can bank on seeing are the steamed rice, seafood rice, fried wonton skins, baked potato, lamb and saltados. Some of the other Unilocalers are correct; sometimes the AC isn’t on and it can get unusually and uncomfortably warm inside. Sometimes the presentation of the food in the warmers is poor. And as of late(a couple months now), the beef in tomato sauce and pork in sauce has been extremely dry. How is that possible? The meat is submerged in sauce but it still is dry! When they have it, I like the chicken in yellow sauce. I may be completely daft, but I can’t figure out why they have chinese dishes too. Sweet and sour pork, broccoli beef, what the heck? For dessert, you can choose from fruit, cookies, cake and softserve(chocolate or vanilla), Think a poor-man’s version of the dessert you’d see at Souplantation.

Now what could possibly go wrong when you mix Peruvian style food with the glorious benefits of a buffet? The idea sounds so promising but this place failed miserably on something that sounded so natural. ALL food was bland and did not look fresh. No me Gusta, Inca Gourmet, No me Gusta at all!

DONOTCOMEHERE! There’s no air conditioning in this place. The food is gross & cold. Some tasted like they been sitting there for days. There’s a mix of Chinese & Peruvian food. I tried to like it. There were some ribs and they were very dry & chewy I couldn’t even bite it. Everything just looked mashed up and unappetizing. It looked like nursing home food.

I had to stop in seeing that it was a Peruvian buffet place. I have had Peruvian food before, but not buffet style. For $ 10 it’s definately worth the price. They have beef and chicken saltado, lamb shanks, fish dishes, french fries, different types of rice, flan for dessert, and ride pudding. They have other things too, but I just don’t remember it all. This place used to be a Chinese buffet place, and so that’s why they have some Chinese food there too as part of the buffet.

this was gross! My parents are big fans of buffets and were raving about this peruvian buffet. There was a wide variety of peruvian and chinese dishes, too bad they tasted dry and day old. The peruvian beans were hard like someone poured a whole salt shaker into the pot. That was the case with everything I tried, hard and salty, even the plain white rice. Eewww. The only dishes that deserve one star was the causa limena and ceviche. Those were tolerable at best. Will never return, and p. s. the bathrooms were filthy, always a bad sign.

I tried this place because a(Peruvian) friend wanted to go there for her birthday. Not being really familar with Peruvian food above the whole fries and rice cilantro, and chicken thing, I did a little research. I don’t know what part of Peru this place claims to come from but whatever, it was okay. Not great. As an ignorant English only speaking person, the buffet was 75% in Spanish which didn’t help me. It’s not that I’m not adventurous, but I was worried I’d be eating something really weird and that’s not something you want to be sampling at a $ 10 buffet. Everything I tried was decent, but my plate ended up looking like it came from a Chinese buffet. Spicy chicken, cilantro rice, yellow chicken curry, cilantro noodles, baked sweet potatoes… that was my lunch. I admit again that I am not an expert on Peruvian food, and my Peruvian friends enjoyed it more than I did. Cleanliness could be better and a lot of the food was cold and obviously had been left out. Service was very good especially for a large party.
