Whenever i’m assisting Hired Power the addiction case management professional’s we get HB Pita’s veggie plate to go. I’m always surprised at how perfectly they’re able to grill their veggies, and their tabouleh is mouth watering perfection.

Thank you Roger! HB Pita catered our work lunch today and everything was fantastic. It was packed and ready when I got there. Now everyone wants to know where I got it and said it was our best luncheon yet! My favorite is the hummus and gyro w/the garlic sauce. I’m off tomorrow but I’m going in just for leftovers!

Service is friendly, food is fine. The beef is one the best I’ve tried in all Mediterranean restaurants, very juicy and tender. The rice is too soft.

So it’s been a while since I’ve been here, and I thought I’d stop by and just see how things were going… besides, I was seriously craving a good fattouch salad! I always enjoying going in and sitting down for a cup of their sweet cinnamon tea(they seem to have a VERY busy carry-out clientele, including me, most of the time!) and taking some time to relax. The warm terra cotta wood and soft cream colors, along with the music make for the perfect decompression after a rough day. I ordered a small hummus, which comes with my favorite, flat chewy pita, and its all tucked into a bowl and wrapped with a warm cloth to keep it soft; lovely! It is homemade and has that little bit of body I like to my hummus, was drizzled with olive oil and a smidge of parsley. I decided on the shish tawook(THREE skewers so I’d have dinner the following night too!); it’s served with soup or salad(here’s where I got my fattouch :-)), rice, and garlic spread. The fattouch came and was more like a chopped salad, and it was a big bowl filled with romaine, red and yellow peppers, a tiny bit of purple cabbage, in a lively lemon and sumac dressing topped with just the right sized pieces of fried pita chips. When the chicken arrived it smelled great! There were three nice sized skewers of golden chicken(4 – 5 pcs each) separated by small pieces of red pepper. It was grilled to perfection, including those yummy little crispy bit that you ply get from a grill. It was topped with a few slices of tomato, some slivered onion, and some pickle slices.

Gyro meat was pretty good. It left me wanting some more gyro next trip. The salad was odd with the Italian seasoning but at least everything was fresh and memorable. Pleasant service, too. Gyro plate it is.

This place is clean and the menu isn’t too big but just right. The chicken shawarma plate was abundant and fresh, the house pickles were delicious and I got double hummus. The falafel wrap was fresh and filling. I saw a server hand a customer a fresh pita off the grill looking crisp as steam came off, it got me watering for mine as it was a take out order. Upon arriving at home I noticed mine was cooled down wrapped tightly in foil, a bit dry and tough, not sure if they premade ones for to go but it was a little disappointing. I would try dining in next time, I saw they have Stella on tap, looks like a decent place to have a light and healthy dinner.

Will definitely be back! Chicken shawarma, beef kabob and gyro are so delicious! The hummus is mild but good. The pita is tasty. Service is excellent. The restaurant is really clean. The rice is good.

Had the filet mignon plate and Greek salad Greek salad– good and the dressing was great! Did not care for the seasoning on the salad. Filet mignon plate– really tender and flavorful! Loved the rice and the hummus was better than most places! Only thing that was a bummer, they forgot my ex pita bread instead of the green salad:(

This place is tasty! It really hit the spot for my Greek craving. I ordered the gyro combo and very delicious. I like that there’s a Yogurtland right next to it for some after meal sweets. I can’t wait to comeback and try more. The service was quick and helpful on how to unwrap your food. As always, I wish the pita bread to hummus ratio was better than 2 halves for a whole dip size of hummus.

The food here is delicious and the portions are huge! Definitely great value for the price. My wife and I shared a chicken shawarma plate and a side of fries. The chicken was seasoned very well, the house salad tasted good, and the hummus tasted like hummus. Lol The restaurant is pretty casual. You order at the front and pick up your food. Overall, good experience.

Update: Quickly becoming my favorite gyro sandwich shop for these reasons: 1) Consistent quality 2) Pita sandwiches are hefty! 3) Fast, easy order, good service 4) Walnut jalapeño sauce/dressing/goodness I think it’s solid value, I never see pickles in my sandwich anymore, so perhaps it was a first time fluke and honestly, I’m never disappointed.

I’m impressed by the amount of flavor in a restaurant in Huntington Beach. So in this place, «shawrma» means ‘chicken’ and ‘doner’ means beef and lamb. It was to my understanding, shawrma is what Arabs and Iranians call meat cooked on a spit and doner is what Armenians and Turks call it. Lets move on Chicken shawrma had some sort of saffron and curry flavor, seeming more Iranian or Kurdish than Turkish. Doner is lamb beef flavor common in us. Kebabs are best… loved it. Yellow rice was nice and different, but I think typical ‘Persian’(Iranian). Thick fries… freaking awesome. I liked this place a lot and will be back for sure but two things that kept it from being 5⁄5: 1 Tzatziki had fresh dill but wasn’t made with yogurt. I’m guessing sour cream, since people in Orange County obsess with that crap. 2. No replacing fice for fries in their combo plate. Come on, guys. All in all, very likeable fast food joint with friendly(females) and focused(males) employees. This is how fast food should be.

H.B. Pita Grill earns five stars in my book for five simple reasons, one being it is a solid meal each and every time I eat there. Add in stellar service, delicious food, and reasonable prices, and you have a five star experience! Usually I order the kefta wrap, and my partner-in-dine orders either a chicken or filet kabob plate which includes baba ganoush or hummus(I prefer the hummus), cucumber salad or tabbouleh(both are yummy!), and a piece of pita bread. The portions are so generous we have leftovers for lunch the next day or a midnight snack after an evening of debauchery :) H.B. Pita Grill is always one of our top choices for lunch or dinner!

This has got to be one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants! Every time I visit here, I receive excellent customer service and delicious food. When you dine in, the workers will actually bring you your entrée. There are plenty of seating space and TVs for entertainment. Had their beef plate and my friend had their beef and gyro plate. I always order it in a takeout box because their portions are amazing for their price and i can never finish it. Hummus and rice here are always on point. One thing I have to give props to HB Pita Grill is that I never had dry rice or chicken. The meats and rice are nicely moist. On the left side of the register, they offer ketchup, jalapeño and chili sauce as well. Unlike other restaurants, they offer actual metal utensils rather than those breakable plastics. Shout out to the cook for asking how the food was because cooks rarely care if their customers enjoy their food! Great food with great staff.

The guys in the office raved about this place. I would have to agree it was pretty darn tasty. I love middle eastern food. I had the combo plate with half beef kabob and half falafel. The rice is so good! The portions are enormous here. I was stuffed to the brim about halfway into my plate. The falafels are crispy and not oily at all. I opted for the tabouleh but the green salad looked good as well. Great place for lunch. Speedy service and reasonable prices.

Pleasant surprise! We have had this place bookmarked for a while and finally were in the area and hungry at the same time. Parking is pretty easy, just don’t park in front cause it’s only a 15 minute time allowance. It’s a pretty basic menu which is great for fast selection. We both went with the pita platter with fries and a drink. It took a few minutes to come out, but it was made fresh, so no biggie! The pitas were a good size for the money and the fries were tasty. I would say that the only downer was that there were too many toppings and it was a sloppy meal to eat, but really that’s not a big thing. Service was friendly and quick. They also do to-go orders and call ahead. Overall: A In the mood for a cheap eats pita that’s messy but tasty? Head on over.

WhereTF have I been, strikes again!!! There are so many good places in my own backyard that I have not been to prior to me joining Unilocal. I finally dropped here when I was in the Eastside of Huntington Beach. However, HB Pita Grill has been here for at least 2 years. They offer fast, fresh & inexpensive Mediterranean cuisine. It is located in the same mall that contains Kohls at Adams & Brookhurst, but in the strip of businesses that faces Brookhurst. For take out, we ordered a gyro plate, chicken plate, chicken shawarma plate($ 8.99/each), and fries($ 1.95). The plates come w/salad & hummus. In addition, the first two plates come w/rice. I had the shawarma plate, and it was very good. There was a ton of meat, it was nicely seasoned, and the meat was tender: 4 Stars. On the other hand, the sides(salad, hummus & pita bread from local Goglanian Bakery) were just OK: 3 Stars. Secondarily, my friends really liked their plates. I had some gyro & rice and I could see why my one friend liked his plate: 4 Stars. Lastly, the fries were OK. They could have neen crispier, but we did order take out: 3 Stars Regarding the ambiance, its cafeteria style. You order, and you pick up when ready. There are two areas to sit, and there are 3 TVs. They will serve you on a plate if you dine in: 3 Stars. On the other hand, the service was really good. The cashier was super friendly, and the food came out quickly: 4 Stars. HB Pita Grill doesn’t have authentic Mediterranean cuisine. However, they offer hearty food, at a good price, w/friendly service in a nice atmosphere. The food is way better compared to Daphne’s(chain food), locally based Coach’s(overpriced & mediocre), and Saffron Grill(TST).
