Was going to eat here today with my husband as we stop almost every time we are in Huntington Beach. Disappointed to hear it’s closed. This spot was hands down my favorite vegan place in the state. Green Mongolian it is with a heavy heart(and empty stomach) I bid you adieu. Goodbye friend. :’(

Best chow mien I’ve had at any loving hut(and I been to plenty). I loved the drumsticks too. Basic but somehow extra flavorful. And the sticks were sugar cane that was pretty tasty as well

BBQ sandwich is my fav. I like sitting here, eating and watching their Netflix. Service is super great. David is a super cool server… However, the restaurant is closed down after Dec 27th… :( Love the place.

Fabulous lunch at this location. Ordered the kale/quinoa salad topped with 4 slices of fried avocado. It was divine! Had the green panda cake for dessert. It was moist and very coconutty yumm. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant is quaint, clean, and cute. Ample parking

I am a vegetarian, have been for years. It’s really hard to find a place with such diverse food and quality. But I think I’ve found my new veggie«go-to» place. I ran in the other day to pick up lunch on the way to work, never been and asked the girl at the counter what she suggested, she told me to get the BBQ sandwich. Omg… it was da bomb! I was so very impressed, and it was huge! Delicious fake meat, grilled veggies, and the bread was quite tasty. The only thing is this isn’t the quickest place. Hopefully because everything’s super fresh. I highly recommend this place to everyone not just vegetarians or vegans. Definitely worth the money.

My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week. Super tasty, pretty cheap, the staff is always great and 90% of the time they are pretty quick. There’s usually just one person serving, so if it gets busy, the service can be slower but whatever, I really don’t mind. I’ve tried all kinds of dishes but my favorites are the Green Mongolian(every damn time), Fabulous Phở, and Lemongrass Tofu. Be sure to ask about the desserts, Kim whips up some tasty cakes and if you get it on the same day she made it, mmmmm. I wish I knew the name of the woman who I think owns it, she is awesome and one time she wiped off my boyfriend’s iPhone screen because it was all dirty. Always a fun time when she’s there! We love this place and will keep coming in to get amazing food :)

Delicious! My boyfriend and I just finished eating here for the first time and it was so yummy I couldn’t wait to write this good review. We are new at the vegan lifestyle and I was recommend by one of my lovely vegan friends that I work with to come here. she was not kidding when she said this place was good, and cheap! It’s a fairly small place, a hole in the wall. It’s cleanliness and customer service are a grand slam! We were greeted by beautiful Andrea and she was so much help with recommendations and we even ended up having a small convo with her talking about our new vegan eating habits. She is a lovely girl! We will definitely be back! Thanks loving hut! Xoxo

I’ve bookmarked this spot for quite some time now and finally decided to try it. I’m in love! I was debating over the portebello mushroom burger or the Lemongrass Beauty. Asked the waitress and she recommended the latter since it was her favorite. I’m definitely glad I took her suggestion because it was delicious. I find it a tad bit on the salty side, but eating it with rice it was really good. I also loved the side salad that came with an interesting dressing alongside which gave it a great balance. Service was nothing short of amazing. Our waitress was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. My bf even praised her saying she was a great waitress which I definitely agreed. Cute little spot and I don’t know how busy they get, but I definitely will be back for lunch one of these days.

I absolutely love this place. I have been by on my way to work for the BBQ rolls and they are awesome. Sweet, salty, crunchy and refreshing. But last night I was looking to pick up some dinner to take home. After really studying the menu and chatting with the super friendly cashier I went with the green Mongolian and cream cheese wontons. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. The green Mongolian was super flavorful and filling. It even came with a small, tasty green salad on the side. The cream cheese wontons were surprisingly light, and melted in my mouth. Her sweet and spur sauce is to die for as well! I am so happy I will definitely be back. Soon!

Except for the intrusive waitperson, I loved this place. We split 3 items and each was better than the last. Cream cheese wantons were delicious, Chow Fun out of this world, Happy Mongolian made me pretty happy. Green tea ice cream and fresh made almond cookies and chocolate(probably not really chocolate) chip cookies were good enough to take some home. I recommend this spot but keep your convo to a whisper or the serve person will be interjecting on things that should be left to the diners to discuss.

I have come here several times in the past and the food is good however service is usually very slow. I honestly didn’t used to mind because there is usually only one or two people working. I went for dinner this evening and there were two people working in the front and at least two in the back. Service was still slow and the cook completely forgot to make my food and the servers didn’t notice for about 45 minutes. At this point my friend had already finished eating and I just asked them to make it to go because I was really annoyed and had lost my appetite. The girl working up front was very sweet and apologetic however with how long the wait was i expected some kind of compensation. A guy who worked there(who I expect is the manager or something) apologized and said he would take a couple bucks off of our meal… Literally he took $ 2 off of our check. It didn’t even cover the price of my drink. That is just insulting. It made me more upset than if he hadn’t given any discount at all. I like the food here and the place is across the street from my house however I will no longer be eating here. I am just going to go out of my way to au lac or bodhi tree.

Got take out from here the other day. Had the pad thai with«shrimp» and tofu. For vegan food, it was pretty good. However, I was not a fan of the shrimp in this dish– it was a little too fishy for me. Will probably just get tofu the next time. Also, I felt the dish was too watery and lacked spiciness. Everything else here looks amazing. Maybe I just picked the wrong dish!

My friend came here and I went next door to HB pita. They wouldn’t let me in because I had a pita from next door. Looked like weirdos in there. My friend enjoys the won ton soup.

Wednesday night, 6:45 pm, 6 of 8 tables taken, the air smells great! Fresh curry and vegetables aromas wafting from that kitchen back there… The sounds of fresh food being made, with the unmistakeable aroma of fresh ingredients invade my nostrils… This is going to be great it seems! The Pad Thai has very nice textures, but somewhat lacking in flavor. A little bit of the lime wedge that came with it brightened it up. Ali’s Heavenly Salad was very nice. The tofu had nice texture, and the vinaigrette was well balanced and flavorful… A great go-to menu item if you ask us! We’ll be back for sure when we’re in the area :))

They’ve improved their menu by leaps and bounds There are daily specials Had the kale salad which was really good I’ve also tried the Mongolian which was absolutely delicious I’ve also had the chow mein which was really good. There’s not a lot of veggie protein so it tastes fresh and unprocessed I can’t wait to try some of the other dishes here

My hair stylist is across the street so I decided to try this bookmark of mine for lunch yesterday. I walked in to a very bright, white space. Not very large but clean & cozy at the same time. The cashier was very chill & helped me choose the kale salad, sweet potato fries & mint happy go lucky drink. $ 14 later I chose a window seat & allowed myself to be the puppy in the window for lots of foot traffic lol. I was already comfortable so I didn’t move but this tiny plaza is packed with food joints & stores so… I was given my mint happy go lucky which tasted like organic or homemade refreshing mint lemonade. I never asked what was in it but it looked & tasted simply good. My kale salad & sweet potato fries came next. This salad was gigantic & beautiful. Shredded kale, a layer of diced red & green bell peppers, black olives, quinoa, celery, cherry tomatoes, avocado nuggets(deep fried avocado) and avocado sauce. Very flavorful! Filling and yummy, but Id recommend some finely chopped cilantro and a squirt of lime atop of it next time. The fries were great, enough to balance my guilty pleasure and crisp, went very well with the ketchup served. The cashier/server was very kind & genuinely concerned about my satisfaction there. I even over heard him at one point telling the people in the kitchen what I had told him about enjoying the food. I sat directly facing the flat panel tv hung up on the wall. It was mainly vegan propaganda & zen quotes. Interesting for sure, but it was looped and replayed the same things at least 20 times I was there. It’d be cool for them to add other interesting things & not somehow manage to make me feel guilty for choosing to eat vegan. And shout out to the angry older Caucasian couple who came in for lunch after me with their vegan vs vegetarian argument which developed into a discussion of aliens & the government in under 5 min. Lol. All in all it was a good experience and I would go back to try all the other yummy looking menu items.

I stop by for the very first time. The lady that ran the place at the time was by herself and plus one or two people in the kitchen. She was very nice and has great customer service. Its a small place that maybe seats 20? The décor is plane and simple but clean with white modern furniture. I ordered the Lemongrass Beauty and Thai Iced Tea, boy, they were great. I love it! The Thai Iced Tea was just perfect not too sweet. The Lemongrass Beauty with brown rice were delicious. I highly recommend this to everyone. I noticed on the menu board they also have shakes and smoothies, desserts, and even dog food as well. So cool. Can’t forget our four-legged friends. I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes on the menu.

— Locale Destination — It’s located on Brookhurst St and Adams Ave in Huntington Beach. It’s in the shopping center, the neighbors are«Sprouts»(hippie market) and«Yogurtland». The size is not so big but plenty of tables. Décor is very simple in white. Some of «Loving Hut» are very fancy, but not this one. They have a TV but not for show — they show you the benefits of being vegetarians and how to save this world. Very informative program. The staff were nice and friendly. Parking spot is kinda tight since the shopping center has lots of shops and restaurants. But you can find it if you didn’t mind parking a bit away from the spot ;p They take credit cards. 100% vegan! They have appetizers, Asian entrees, noodles, desserts(cakes), and drinks(smoothie, lemonade, and juices — not a lot like a tea place). They also have some gluten free snacks at the counter. «Loving Hut» is individually owned. So each location has a different menu. Logo, the infomercial, and usage of white in décor are the same. I think this place has a bigger menu than Tustin one. But both have really«Asian» menu — Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese etc. So don’t expect pasta here ;p — Gluttony Expedition — Delectable eggplant: Eggplant and silken tofu. The sauce(Oyster sauce I think) with basil was tasty. This place doesn’t contain any fake meat. Good dish. Teriyaki chicken: It comes with steamed vegetables(cabbage, carrots, broccoli, and zucchini) & rice in the bowl. $ 1 for the brown rice upgrade. Brown rice was good. The fake chicken was awful. Some fake meats are really tasty, not this one. Avoid. — Conqueror’s Deduction — The fake meat was actually tasty at the Tustin location. So I wanted to try this place. I love the Tustin location, but I got to try more to say so at this location ;p

The first time I came here, I had to eat at a vegan restaurant for a nutrition class assignment so I grabbed take out here. The service was exceptional, the guy working at the register was really friendly and asked a lot of questions about my class. He was also super accommodating and got me water for while I waited for my takeout. I got the wonton noodle soup and it was awesome! I was a little scared that it wasn’t going to taste good but the broth was super flavorful and the«meat» and wontons tasted delicious. I believe that their phở and noodle soups must be great! A few months later, I convinced the boyfriend to come here with me. The boyfriend can be really skeptical when it comes to eating at vegetarian/vegan restaurants. Boy loves his meat but he surprisingly loved this place and said«good choice babe» at the end of the meal. Order at the counter and then sit at a table where they will bring you your food. The boyfriend got the crispy chow fun, while I ordered the golden vermicelli. DERICIOUSSS. Ahhh my fav was the crispy chow fun with the delicious fried chow fun noodles surrounding all of this«meat», «shrimp», and veggies swimming in a yummy sauce. You must try this crispy deliciousness! The vermicelli was really good as well but I was just blown away by the crispy chow fun that it was sort of like well my dish is really good but yours is awesome let me have more of yours! Hehe. Their fake beef looks super similar to beef and actually has a really good texture and taste for imitation meat. Service does vary though. Maybe it’s because service was exceptionally good the first time I came, I really noticed when the person working my second visit wasn’t that friendly. There’s only person working the front so it really depends on who’s working the shift. Overall, AWESOME place to try if you want some vegetarian asian food without sacrificing good taste. There’s still so much flavor in their dishes! Even meat lovers can enjoy the loving hut. I’m dying to come back to try the curry with the side of whole wheat bread! I saw two people eating that and it looked scrumptious, the bread looked super fresh… Needless to say, I’ll be back! And all the animals rejoiced :)

minus all the propaganda, this place has awesome food. the soups are delish and even though im a phở-natic(see what i did there) i didnt get the fantastic phở. I ended up getting the Royal Spicy Rice Noodle. Here’s what I think. it was delicious at first because i was freakin’ starving, but after a few bites it became a little bland. I’m not saying that it was bad, but definitely not as flavorful as other places I’ve tried. Would I go back? Maybe if I was with a Vegan friend. Actually, I do have to because I didn’t get to try their phở. and I love phở. The end.
