Galkos Construction

Way back in 2004 I contracted with Galkos Construction to texture coat my house and install dual pane windows. I referred them to my mom, who purchased dual pane windows in 2005. That’s quite a while ago. I was a little worried when I noticed some problems with my windows last week. So imagine my pleasure to discover that Galkos is not only still in business, but still an excellent service provider! Cynthia is delightful to work with! We scheduled Jimmy for a mutually convenient time to inspect and measure the problematic windows, and he was on time (actually a little early), friendly, informative, and very professional.
I am looking forward to my new replacement windows. Any new work I might have in mind will definitely keep Galkos in mind for home-​construction services.

My husband and I bought windows from Galkos about 9 years ago. We had a small issue with one of the sliders and Galkos came out the very next day fixed the problem in minutes. Then Jimmy went on to, without being asked, oil and realign our rollers in our large Patio Door. Great to see companies still do business like that. When Jimmy was finished he asked, if there was anything else he could do for us and we replied (jokingly) «You don’t do roofs do you? We were thrilled to hear that they did. Two days later, Mike LaFirst came out to see us. We were blown away by how professional the presentation was. Mike came prepared, he had already printed out an areal photograph of our property with detailed measurements of our roof. We had had an estimate a week prior and they guy tried to get my husband to climb on the roof and hold his tape measure. When my husband politely declined, he said, „that’ll cost you.“ Yikes. Not using THAT guy. But Mike was amazing. Informative without being pushy and we never felt like we were being ‘SOLD», He just sorta told us what we needed and asked if we had any questions. It was just like buying the windows, we were so happy that they hadn’t changed their business model in the past decade. We ended up with a beautiful Owens Corning Ridge-​Vent Roof (I wrote that without looking at the paper work, yay me!) Because the roof was so energy efficient, it qualified for HERO financing. Basically, this means, no upfront expenses and nothing due until tax time. Also there are incredible tax breaks. It sounds involved, but at no time though the entire process did we ever feel lost or overwhelmed. It made all the sense in the world so we went for it and we’re very glad we did.
