Literally this pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know what Francesco puts in the dough, but DON’T STOP!

Stopped randomly in HB to cure my hunger… Passed by some patios that would allow dogs but everything was full of people, loud noises and I didn’t think my pup would enjoy it much. Just as I had given up and started walking back to my car I came across this place. I studied the menu from outside and was waived inside, doggy and all. I ordered the porcini and margharita and I haven’t even finished the porcini as I’m writing this. The slices, huge, compared to the norm here. But the best part I haven’t had a pizza this good since well… Italy. I think this is easily my new go to spot next time I make it to hb… please open a spot in Hollywood so I can have this pizza in my life all the time. Long story, short: In case you ever wondered what real ingredients taste like when used by artists in the kitchen… come try this pizza. Best pizza I’ve had on this side of the world.

I have to start by saying, I’m not a fan of pizza! My whole family loves pizza, and every time they mention pizza, I cringe. We have been going to Doppio since last summer, and it’s absolutely the BESTPIZZAEVER! Both my kids love the Margherita, and I’m a huuuuge fan of the Truffle and Rustica!!! Huge slices, thinner crust, and such a warm atmosphere, right by the beach! Carlotta and Franceso are very amazing people, and very friendly! You have to try it, you’ll be hooked!!! I could eat it all the time! Yummm

This pizza place is incredible! The slices are huge and the prices can’t be beat. My boyfriend and I were skeptics since it was in Huntington Beach but amazing food and service. The owners are so so sweet and took care of us right away. We got the spicy salami, Hawaiian, and pepperoni and all were so good.

Best pizza I’ve ever had outside of Italy. Owner and his wife are very friendly. Prices are great. $ 20 for 4 people with drinks. They even threw in two free cookies for my kids. We will be back.

It’s sooo good! Especially for organic, real Italian pizza! When I heard of this place, I’ve been wanting to go, but I’m never in the area! So last weekend, I was in Costa Mesa running some errands and figured I’d drop by here to give it a try. So the way it’s set up, you order the slice(s) of pizza or a whole pizza at the counter. Then you pay at the register. I knew before going in that I was going to get a Large pizza, since it’d be more worth it. So when I told the guy at the counter what I wanted, he was like«are you sure?!» Then he proceeded to show me how big a large was with a whole pizza on display. I said yes. He then was still skeptical, and the person I was with said«isn’t it cheaper for a large?», and the guy said yes. So the person I was with said that we can just take the leftovers home. He said it’d take 5 minutes, and I said ok. It took at least 20 minutes. :(Well, I would have been okay with it if they said it’d take 20 minutes. We were hungry, too, so the wait was kind of overbearing. When the veggie pizza came out, I couldn’t wait to dig in. The guy who brought it out said that we had to finish it…(Jokingly, of course.) 6HUGE slices. 5 of which were eaten on location. So when I asked for a small box, he looked, and was surprised we had devoured it. The pizza was REALLY good though! A large veggie pizza was $ 23.75, which was a bit pricey, but you can’t complain since they us all organic ingredients. Customer service was on-point. I didn’t realize that downtown Huntington Beach was all paid parking, though, since I’m never in that area. We came on a Sunday night, and it wasn’t too hard to find parking. We parked on a side street, not the main street, though. All in all, REALLY good, organic, authentic Italian pizza! I just wished there was a location closer to where I live, though! Or else I’d be going there VERY often! Sooo good, with great-quality ingredients! What more can you ask for?! I can’t wait to come back here, whenever that may be!

So the reviews here are about as true as they get! If you want real Italian pizza made by real Italian gentleman, made from the best quality items, with great flavor and uniqueness, this is the place to go. This little hole in the wall placed is decorated with surf city attire and dressed to give a casual atmosphere great for all ages. The minute you walk by the store you can smell the pizza which just beckons you to come in. Right away you are greeted with a Italian style welcome that makes you feel at home(and makes you want to come for more food!). The slices of pizza are quite generous and from what I discovered from the chefs, a lot of the ingredients come straight from Italy! The owner is very personable along with the chefs as well! I work down the street and this place will be among the top that I recommend for any guests who wants a non-chain restaurant that will give you a true taste of Italy for a very reasonable price. My suggestion is try the DOPPIOZERO pizza! It comes with the chefs recommendation and mine haha. You can definitely count me as a regular here.

For my first FSF(Five Star Friday) of the year, I wanted to share a newly opened place that is da kine. Kim H told me about this authentic Sicilian style za place in DTHB, and I also read Morgan H’s review. Afterwards I said, «WhereTF have I been strikes again?!». Although the address says Main St in DTHB, the entrance is Northwest on Olive. In addition to za, Doppio Zero also offers zo(calzone), sandwiches, and salads. BTW, the dough is 72 hour rise & slow bake, and all the ingredients are organic. I ordered some za da portare via(for take out). Slices range from $ 3.75 to $ 5.75, and full pizzas are $ 23.75 to $ 28.75. Keep in mind that a «slice» is big: Its more like two portions. I ordered two slices of salisiccia e funghi(sausage & mushroom), and one slice of pepperoni. The total was $ 17.50, but I also received a free drink w/3 slices. In addition, 5% off when you mention Unilocal. The pizza was squisito(excellent)! Wipe your memory banks of that crap we usually eat thats called«pizza». Doppio’s version is the real deal! The quality and freshness of the ingredients comes out in every bite. The richness of the cheese, coupled w/the non-greasy meat, satisfied me visually & gastronomically. This is the best pizza I have eaten since I ate an anchovy pizza at Alice Pizza in Rome(around the corner from the Vatican). The couple, Franceso & Carlotta who own Doppio’s are super nice. I found out later that he is a fellow surfer, so shaka \uuu/to you braddah Francesco. I’m glad you came to HB to surf, and make a living. Their shop is small, but super quaint. There are a few tables, you can see the pizzas in the display case, and they offer dry pastas for you to cook at home: Both 5 Stars. Francesco e Carlotta: Il mio complimenti al cuoco(My compliments to the chef)! You have the best pizza in OC, and possibly in So CA. IMHO, Doppio’s pizza is better compared to highly touted Pizzeria Mozza. Buona fortuna(good luck)!!!

Love the flavor of the porcini truffle. Cheese was very good also and they were generous with it. Another in our group had the mushroom sausage. He said it was also good flavor. It’s a little pricey but frankly, I don’t mind when the ingredients are good. I don’t eat out all the time so when I do, it’s worth paying for quality. The person in our group who ordered the sausage and mushroom pizza was disappointed because it didn’t have sauce. Be sure to ask, many of the options do not have the traditional red sauce. He did say it was good however… He just wished it had sauce on it. As I said before, the porcini truffle oil pizza was very flavorful and I was HAPPY it does not come with sauce as that would have ruined it. I usually don’t prefer red sauce unless I’m having something like pepperoni. The only criticism for Doppio Zero is the dough. Their pizza crust is more like a bread or a flatbread and wasn’t acting like a crisp-bottomed pizza. I will absolutely come back and try the pepperoni and possibly the lasagna and tiramisu if I’m in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way. BOTTOMLINE: It’s very good and worth a try but DONOT expect a crisp crust. Expect more of a delicious flatbread experience and you will be happy.

This is the real stuff. Quality ingredients make quality pizza. And you’ll find that here. The employees care about the product and treat customers like real people. Also, lots of vegetarian options! Nutella pie. Omg, decadent. More like a flaky turnover, it’s perfect to share with a friend or two because it is rich! Around a dozen pizza varieties are available at the counter; they heat up your selection and serve it on wooden blocks. Seating is available inside and outside. Main Street address, but it’s really behind Starbucks.

This pizza is life-changing. I had the Hell Salami and Brenda had the pepperoni. This is the best pizza I have ever tasted. It was cheesy, yummy, and the crust stayed crispy to the last bite. Love that they use organic ingredients. It is apparent that the owners take pride in their food and serving their customers. Carlotta explained the ingredients/toppings of each pizza with such charm. I just wish I had saved room for a cannoli. We will be back.

This may be the first 5-star pizza establishment I’ve been to. It was a great experience from start to finish! I loved getting I’d been wanting to try it out for years but always gone with people wanting a meal at a table service restaurant or mediocre food but closer to the water. Alas, I sold the group yesterday on high quality pizza! Everyone had a satisfying slice and agreed it was the right choice for lunch in HB! I ordered the truffle porcini slice and savored each delectable bite. It was baked to perfection and the truffle oil gave it that little bit of fancy flavoring I was craving. Two friends ordered the pepperoni salami/jalapeño pizza and said they loved the little bit of spicy-ness it offered. Lastly one friend ordered the regular mushroom slice and was very pleased with it! Can’t wait to return to try other options! It was very nice to see the husband and wife team welcoming customers and checking to make sure everything was tasting good and going well.

Great authentic homemade Italian pizza. I’ve lived on the east coast and traveled to Italy. This can be compared to some of the best pizza I have had the pleasure of eating. A little expensive, but it’s ORGANIC! Very worth it in my opinion. My pizza guage: scale of 1 – 10 Dough– 11 Sauce– 8⁄10 Cheese– 9 Is it good hot? Yes Is it good room temp? Heck yes! Is it good cold? Darn right! If the answer to all three temperature questions is yes you have a winner! This place is def a winner… You be the judge, give em a try !! –you can’t go wrong with a pepperoni slice :) –Update** the truffle pizza is now my top favorite

Hands down the best pizza around. I feel like I say this alot, but I legit crave this pizza ALL the time! Sooo good, so fresh, and the cheese to sauce and crust ratio is on point. The cheese is different than most pizzerias and it’s so much more delicious. I must figure out which brand Francesco, the owner uses! The owner is always there and you can tell how much love he puts into his food, because you can taste it! He’s straight from Rome and knows what great pizza and food really is! The portions are huge. Basically you’re getting 2 slices when you pay for 1.

This is by far the best pizza in Orange County that I’ve tasted. First, a huge shoutout to the owner, Francesco. He is from Rome, he was so nice to us, gave us cannolis on the house(which were amazing btw) sharing with us his philosophy behind having all organic ingredients. The pizza was amazing. I had the truffleporcini and the Crostini(ham and fresh mozz) both were so delicious. They are open til 2 am on Fri and Sat and free delivery with a $ 20 order. If you live in the area and haven’t had their pizza yet you need to.

Recently opened authentic homemade 100% Organic pizzeria which the owners come straight from Italy. I couldn’t believe the the amazing delicious taste of these authentic pizzas & desserts that they offer at this small little pizza parlor. Truffle Porcino w/Truffle oil Pizza(Mix of Porcini Mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, truffle oil): 5 stars The truffle oil made this pizza smell so heavenly & the the porcino mushrooms was so soft & delicious. This was completed by the thin crispy crust that this pizza was made of. This was my favorite pizza that I had tasted here. Croissant(Nutella, honey, Jam): 5 stars Nutella made this delicious croissant even better, it just melted into my mouth. =) Gorgonzola Pizza(Gorgonzola cheese, fresh radicchio, fresh mozzarella, fresh mint): 3 stars This pizza had a slight bitter taste from the radicchio but the mint gave it a refreshing taste. The Gorgonzola & mozzarella cheese was so fresh, delicious & stretchy that tied all the ingredients together. These thin crusted pizzas brought back memories of my trip to Italy when I went, this is how pizza should taste like. There is nothing as deep dish pizza/thick crusts in Italy; there is only homemade thin crust pizza goodness in Italy. Everything here at this pizzeria is 100% Organic, homemade with tender love & care. I promise that you haven’t tried anything like these pizzas in the states. After I ate the pizza, I did not feel like I had food coma or heavy like I usually do when eating other pizzas. I will definitely come back to try other things that I didnt try this time because they always different specials everyday.
