Cool King Frozen Yogurt & Desserts

Love Love Love this place!!! The guys are so nice — they know what I need, lids, bag, no spoons. Haha. I come in every few days and get 2 large orders at a time so I can enjoy the yoghurt over a few days time. I stick it in my freezer and scoop out portions for snacks — just add bananas, honey and granola. OMG don’t ever leave. Best variety of flavors and always clean. These guys got it right!!!

Been coming here for a few years and they always have my favorite flavors waiting for me. The reward system works real well and gives back. It’s a very nice environment with actual good music. Great location with tons of parking space. Plenty of toppings to choose (even has mochi!). Well priced.

I’ve been here several times as it has changed ownership and names, but this evening was just the worst.
Right at the start of summer it would seem beneficial to be well stocked on all flavor offerings, but two of the ten or so machines were not working…
I tried to sample a couple of flavors before deciding, but even a quick flip of the arm dispensed far more fro-​yo than the tiny cup could hold… Either get bigger cups, or adjust the speed or opening width of the machine. I could clearly see other customers having this problem as well. Because of this I ended up with a flavor I hadn’t sampled and really regretted it.
I chose a small portion of three flavors, and a few toppings. The one flavor I hadn’t tested, the NY Cheesecake tasted nothing like cheesecake, or even ice cream trying to taste like cheesecake. It was bitter and mostly flavorless. Yuck!
Of the three toppings I chose two were stale. The kit-​kat bar pieces we tough as styrofoam. I chose them for their crunch, but was disappointed. The cheesecake bites are always my favorite at any topping bar! These though… it was a bit like spongy dryer lint… The flavor smacked of the laundry room too, just like SOAP! Not sure if they were stale, or off brand, or what but they were just nasty.
The person who served me seemed polite, but I had a hard time hearing what he said and had to ask him to repeat himself. Smiling goes a long way in customer service :)

I love frozen yogurt and would always go to Yogurtland. However, I decided to go on Unilocal and find a new place to try and stumbled upon Cool King. Their yogurt is okay… a lot more creamy than Yogurtland but wasn’t that great. There are a lot more toppings than Yogurtland, which I guess is the only good thing here. It’s very pricey as well… will probably not come back. I prefer Yogurtland. Sorry, this place is just not for me but it might be for you!

Great selection of flavors, good quality flavors. Toppings are more innovative than the standard froyo places and atmosphere is clean with outdoor bench seating.
A little disappointed in the price ($ 5.50 for what I consider a modest portion: D), but at least the Froyo was top quality!

I’ve been coming here since this was originally Cherry On Top, and i have to say that nothing has really changed. The flavors are still really good, and the topping table is always clean. Everyone I’ve encountered is really nice and polite. Defiantly recommend this place for a night time snack :)

Have loved this location for a long time which ever name they use. As well I still get the texts that they miss me and come in for free yogurt. All good except it’s seemingly /​is more expensive now w a coupon that it was reg price before. We all get times change and prices go up yet 30−40%+ in a somewhat short time sends me elsewhere. I can’t afford a tesla etc etc and I’m not able to fund a business owners $$$ either at high prices. Yogurt alone gets 5 stars. Rude crowds (not CK fault) and $$ keeps me at home w ice cream or down the street for some old thrifty scoops.

Customer service here is always awesome and that’s not always easy to consistently get! If you are a HB resident, you’ll be privy to coupons via mail, so it becomes a good deal. I’ve also bought coupons online as well. Otherwise, it’s not cheap, as a small cup could easily tally up to $ 6 per cup. (However, the prices here are comparable to Yogurt Passion, which to me has non-​existent customer service.) I always make sure I have my coupons before coming.
The owner is genuinely a kind & considerate man. Once my 5 year-​old niece had dropped her icecream flat to the floor, right after I just bought it! I was so upset! Fortunately for us, the owner was standing behind the cashier and saw the whole thing. Without any hesitation he said to me, «Please go get her another cup.» He didn’t watch us or even care to weigh it so see if it would be equal to what we already paid for. This was the first time we ever met him.
He just wanted to make my niece smile again. Now this folks is truly a small business owner who respects & has pride in his community. I’m a huge fan of Cool King because of this incident.
He makes sure the employees treat the customers well too! Very clean & very family orientated establishment.

This is most definitely my favorite frozen yogurt place! Nowhere else compares!!! Freshest fruits and the best frozen yogurt flavors around. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the store is always super clean and well kept! HEAVEN. FOR. YOUR. MOUTH.

Mmmmmm Fro-​yo! So if you know me pretty well, you know I’m probably a huge fan of Yogurtland. But I have to say — this place really stole the show and blew my tastebuds away.
I’ve never been a huge fan of the rich and savory fro-​yos, but rather opting for the fruity flavors instead. This place has an abundance of those yummy fruity flavors and I can’t ever decide which ones I want. So I end up with a giant cup of all of them… it’s still yogurt right?
The establishment is clean, friendly and offers a good amount of seating if you”re looking to eat there. They do offer a rewards program, which is a huge bonus! 1 point for every ounce. After 100 points you start getting discounts… um #WINNING!

Love love love this place. In my opinion, this is The best FroYo place you could ever think of going to. They have a vast selection of flavors, toppings and treats that you could ever imagine. The customer service is outstanding, and after meeting Rob you can see the passion that he has for the business and his clientele.

We (My son & I) absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is very fun and colorful. The flavors are stellar. I love that its not just froyo but also gelato & Italian ice as well. The toppings are always fresh and the rewards program is awesome. We receive deals weekly via text, thats amazing service in my opinion. Rob and his team are so nice and friendly.
My only gripe about CK is I wish the flavors were rotated more often. We come here quite often (2 – 3 times a week), so it would be nice to have different options week to week. But that wont stop is from going, ever. Were ride or die for sure. Keep it up Rob!

Cool King is a delicious dessert place with self serve frozen yogurt, gelato, Italian ice, ice cream, and more.
The environment inside is clean and there are some cute mirrors hanging from the ceiling, and flashy sequins by a large logo to take pictures of your yogurt in front of. The tables are modern but the space is a bit cramped, but there is enough seating.
There are rotating flavors and options, as well as seasonal flavors, and new ones or mixes. The topping bar is full of various options as well and is well kept.
They also have cookies, brownies, and cake pops to add to your bowl for flavor.
I go here often for fundraisers and a treat. The red velvet cake gelato and plain vanilla ice cream is very rich and nice. Pair the ice cream with the blue razz Italian ice is a nice texture, as well as the tart with any fruity frozen yogurt. The salted caramel is not bad as well. The gummy worm toppings with the fruity and the chocolate wafer «straws» are good with anything on the creamier side.
Cool King, however; is quite pricey at $ 0.48 per ounce. It’s very easy to go well over 10 ounces which is about $ 5.00 — not even to the top full level.
The nice part is the business is very community involved! They have many fundraisers for various schools and causes, and I was easily able to set one up for my clubs. I just contacted the owner through email or walk-​in. They give 20% back and you just have to mention the organization you’re with on the day of.
All in all, they have a nice environment, and many delicious flavor and topping choices, if you don’t mind the price.

The other reviews are spot on. They have an amazing array of flavors that I have never seen before. Ask for a sample. I loved the dole whip and strawberry shortcake. The banana custard was ok and the blueberry Italian ice was a lil on the sweet side. I was not a fan of the acai but some ppl seem to like it. It did seem a little on the pricey side but I will be back for the unique flavors.

Cool King is the spot! If you’re looking for some good dessert, this is the place to be. You have a wide variety of yogurt flavors. The flavors are updated every week and the topping options are always satisfying. I always get the dole whip yogurt and add fruit and candy on top. The prices are fair and the staff is always generous. This is my go to spot late at night when I’m hungry for dessert. We have a rewards card, so we always benefit from good discounts. Overall, really cool place to get yogurt. I highly recommend you try.

Let’s first start out with the fact that the flavors here are somewhat more unique than many of the chains around. Also, there is an acai flavor, which is a REALLY great alternative to paying $ 10+ at a café for an acai bowl with all the fixings. Toppings were plentiful, and even slightly more exotic and fancy than other fro-​yo places.
That being said, it’s 48 cents per oz. Compare that to the 29 cents per oz at most of the local chains, and it’s just not THAT much better. In order to charge me almost double, you’d better be almost twice as good. Or offer me something your competitors can’t.
Are the flavors good? Yes. Are they more unique flavor and topping wise than competitors? Yes. But is it worth almost double the price? No.
I wouldn’t avoid going here because the salted caramel froyo and banana custard I got were very good. But I would probably go elsewhere if I was craving a cheap dessert.

Came to Cool Kings today for the first time since it changed from Cherry on Top. I was excited since it had such high ratings but I was pretty disappointed.
The flavors and toppings selection looked incredible, and I was so excited about the Acai. Unfortunately it tasted chalky and awful – no Acai for me! I ended up getting the Nutella, banana, and peanut butter cup flavors. Great, but there was a hair in the toppings! Gross :(
The owner gave us a discount because of the hair but I was still a little disappointed about my experience. The flavors I did get were fine but in the future I’ll probably go go Goldenspoon instead.

My absolute favorite yogurt in Huntington Beach!
Why? Because of he constancy, the variety of flavor a, the amazing staff and the owner who is always so happy and cheerful! Job well done on running this amazing business. I just wish so many people didn’t know about it so I would never have to wait! However it’s so good I can keep others from spreading the word! Every time I send someone there they end up loving it like it so.
The only thing I wish is hat you had sugar free peanut butter.

It use to also be once called Cherry on Top. There are a few things that have changed since then. They have glamourized the place but still keeping the fun décor. The last time I came in was last with with my sister. I was impressed by the interior as well as their fro yo. I went with peanut butter, banana, and churro flavor. All three were delicious and the texture was perfect. It wasn’t runny and kept consistency. My only complaint was that it was much sweeter than any other fro yo place I have been to. Maybe because I went crazy with sweet toppings as well.
The pricing is like any other frozen yogurt place. I paid about $ 8 for two smaller size cups. The owner was there on the night we came in. He was extra friendly and rung us up. The inside of this place was packed with people although it was a week night. Other flavors they carry on the night we came in included cheesecake, oreo, and mango. They even had one Italian ice one. I thought that was pretty cool. They also have edible cups that you can use instead of their standard paper cups that you use to fill your fro yo in. They had chocolate waffle cups, cups with nuts, and cups with sprinkles. Yum! The toppings here are also impressive. They have plenty of good choices even for their syrups. As for sampling cups, they keep them behind the counter so you need to ask someone for it. They also do not keep water out anymore so you also have to ask for that. However, this is still one of my favorite frozen yogurt places and I will continue to come back.

I love SuperCool, this yogurt shop is very similar to Yogurtland, but I felt like their flavors were better along with the staff. Everyone that worked there was super friendly.
