My boyfriend and I ate at Coaches’ for Valentine’s Day. We made reservations and it was so simple!!! I highly recommended the Filet mignon over rice and roasted Rosemary veggies! YUMMMMY! I had a Chocolate Martini and my bf had a Manhatten Project Martini. So good! Our appetizers were bruchetta, home made hummus and pita bread and finally grape leaves with house made Tetziki(not sure if I spelled that correctly)… :p. HIGHLY recommend!!!

I just had a gyro lunch plate, but the gyro was outstanding. Based on how well-prepared rice, gyro and tzaziki my guess is the rest of the menu is outstanding too.

Good food in the heart of Huntington Beach Main Street. I like the fact it’s open till 2am on weekends. Perfect place to go for an after party sumptuous Mediterranean meal…

Do bot believe the happy hour story written on the menu coz it is totally a bullshit… You should ask whoever your server is but they will still need to get an authorization from their boss who decides who will be able to get the advantage of the happy hour. For me it was the first and last time…

I ordered the mixed seafood shish kabobs and it came with a rice pilaf and grilled veggies. It was pretty good. The shrimp in particular was very tasty. Everything was seasoned well and tasted fresh. The only downfall is that the portions are pretty small while the price is not. $ 20 for 3 shrimp and 4 one inch pieces of fish. I was actually still hungry afterwards.

The gyros are amazing!!! Service is like being waited on hand and foot. Only thing missing is someone standing in the corner with a giant leaf fanning you, ancient Egypt style. We mostly order take out and they always remember us and give the 15% «check in» discount from Unilocal every time. Food and ingredients are quality, staff are authentic and know their stuff and portions are worth the price. Stop in and give it a try next time your in DTHB. It’s a diamond in the rough… and it’s pretty rough down there as far as food options go!

If you want overpriced and mediocre food with a huge serving of DISCRIMINATION this is the place for you. I witnessed a nice gay couple sitting at the bar be told they need to leave due to the fact they believe in «Traditional Values»… Whatever that means now a days. They were just sitting close to Each Other. Considering the times we live in, this is despicable. We should all accept everyone, including their business. If you support the spread of hate this is the place for you.

Be careful when ordering here, went with a 10 person party and they brought out appetizers that no one ordered and then they over charged for the appetizer s to drive up the bill. Then they clam they didn’t understand. Drama when it was supposed to be a celebration. DONTGOHERE

The bartender Christina is super friendly and the drinks great, the lentil soup is kinda bland so I’m sending it back. If it had wall’s or barriers itd be so much better it seems so big and empty even though the décor is nice and warm and i love the bar counters the chicken shishkabob is really good overall coming back

This is by far one of the places I always have to stop when in town. I’ve been coming here for almost ten years. I used to frequent this place more(4 – 7) times a week when I lived on 3rd St. For an appetizer you must try the lebni. It sounds a little weird, but let me tell you it is by far my favorite. Their filet kabob is my regular go to meal, and it never disappoints. The owner is absolutely amazing and I’ve moved away a few years ago and every single time I come back to visit, when I stop in he already puts an order of Lebni in and it’s ready by the time I get water. I absolutely love this place and recommend this place to anyone!!!

Love this place. They have fresh, healthy and tasty dishes, full bar with lots of tv’s and big booths and tables. The staff are always friendly and quick. It’s nice and relaxing during the week when there’s less people. And the outdoor patio is perfect for people watching and enjoying the beach weather.

Finally went here to EAT rather then just to have a party and drink :) The location is truly great right in the heart of Main St. You’d think that something with just prime location wouldn’t serve really good food, that is not the case here. Its quite good, and this is compared to the food we had in Istanbul and Goreme in Turkey last year. Don’t get me wrong, its not freaking amazing, just damn good… if you can make the distinction… and if that matters ATALL to you. :p We went here specifically for the saganaki. Fried cheese served with pita. The quality was definitely top notch. Not only was it good, its one of only 3 places I found near HB that has it. The olive pit version is complete crap, and apparently the one at George’s come out actually on fire! My fried got the Olive pizza which she liked, but had more olives than she wanted, but we realized we should have ordered it «light» on the olives. She was also a BIG fan of the salad. It was quite sizeable for an appetizer, easily shareable. I got the Albert Kebob. Gyro meat on top of fried pita topped with yogurt and tomato sauce. I was pretty good. Great presentation, the quality of the gyro was very good. Not sure that the actual combination of the dish is really my favorite, but I’m glad I tried it. Definitely want to try the falafel and the seafood dishes here. The wait staff was very nice. Our waiter was from Turkey(along with everyone else working there as they are family) and we talked about Turkey and Greece at length. I appreciate the Turkish culture the restaurant has and the free baklava!

BAR: Came in on a whim & sat at the bar. The bartender, Christina is amazing!!! I ordered an Elderflower Martini & my boyfriend had a Moscow Mule. Not only did she make them perfectly, they were absolutely delicious. Very friendly service! FOOD: The food was amazing! I was recommended the Chicken Shish Kabob with a lentil soup. OMG!!! So tasty & delicious! If you find yourself on Main St, pop into this gem for a cocktail & great food!

I came in around 7:30pm which was fortunately just before the rush they’re understaffed for on a Saturday night. The lady next to me with two small kids practically entered the order into the computer herself by walking up to the server station, pointing to her table and telling a random employee what she wanted. Ordered a Gyro Pizza that my kids split. The crust was edible but that’s the extent of it, fortunately they liked the«sausage» as I called it. I ordered a seafood kebab with extra veggies and no rice. Which would have been great as the kebab was good. But the veggies had been cooked an indeterminate amount of time prior and clearly served from a warming pan… They tasted about as you might expect: crusty and stale. Sad considering the price point($ 40 for a small pizza and a kebab plate). Currently, plates are cleared and I managed to snag a box for the trash, sorry I mean, «left over pizza»… Finally getting a check after 10 minutes of staring down anyone that walks by. I can only imagine this place survives by the sheer amount of walk in business driven by tourism and the bar revenue.

Wow, stumbled across this place cruising Main St in Huntington Beach. Best Gyro sandwich I have ever had! Hummus was, excellent and my wife’s greek chicken salad was superb. Can’t wait to come back and try something different.

Good food at a great price! Luv’d the lamb bowl and added the yogurt sauce on the side. The lamb was cooked just right and very tasty

After taking my friend’s dog to the Huntington Dog Beach we were all pretty hungry and headed over to Main St for some lunch. As we were a couple blocks away from the dog beach I expected to easily find a patio that allowed dogs. This was really not the case. The only places that allowed dogs turned out to be iHop if the dog is on the other side of the railing, Fred’s Cantina if it’s a Monday after 6PM and to my pleasant surprise, Coach’s. The owner was really nice about allowing our labradoodle puppy on the patio and even provided some water for him. The interior of this restaurant is very spacious and the patio is somewhat small but has a spacious booth that we chose to sit at. Water for ourselves and the puppy was brought out shortly and even though the pup decided to treat it like a swimming pool and splashed his paws in it, the owner didn’t say a word about it. When we were brought menus I immediately noticed the cocktail section which was much more extensive than any I’ve seen at a Mediterranean restaurant. I went for the skinny minnie margarita and found it to be quite good. Good amount of alcohol and still pretty sweet. I ordered the combo bowl that comes with marinated chicken and gyro and my friend had the gyro pita sandwich. Our food arrived quickly and we were often checked on despite the fact that only one person was serving at the time. While my meal was more of a plate than a bowl I enjoyed how well-marinated the chicken and gyro were. Paired with the yogurt sauce and rice, I had a solid, standard Mediterranean lunch that day. My friend enjoyed her gyro sandwich and french fries and we left Coach’s feeling full, satisfied and happy to have found an affordable, quality restaurant on Main St aside from the many others that mostly serve burgers and fries. Nothing wrong with burgers and fries but it’s nice to know you can find a different cuisine on this busy and touristy street as well.

I like this place, not the best Mediterranean food but definitely good. The Greek Salad was very good loved the dressing. The yogurt sauce that comes with it is good but I love tzatziki sauce much better. The gyro meet was tender and delicious. My friend had the chicken kebab which was tender and juicy. She said the veggies that came with it didn’t taste good. Service was ok my friend had to ask for yogurt sauce twice and she had to bring the check to them as we got tired of waiting. Also they were playing Spanish music which I found odd LOL.

Alexander Kebab… delicioso. No sé si es carne o mantequilla… increíble, con papas y yoghurt… una muy grata sorpresa digna de repetir. Además el ambiente muy a gusto y la atención excelente.
