Came here a few times while I was working at the area hospital. I ordered the grilled tilapia dinner with onion rings and cole slaw. Loved the tartar sauce with a Cajun twist.

Food is pretty good. Service is decent. Price is great!
I can only give three stars though for two primary reasons.
1. Salt and pepper is your friend in the cooking business. The food would have went from pretty good to damn good or excellent.
2. Twenty minutes after patrons left the tables still had not been bussed. They were not that busy either.
All in all, and for the area. I’d probably give them another try.

Not great but you get lots of food for the price. Had the grilled chicken tenders. They were dry, overlooked and not really grilled but pan grilled. Garbage ate them. They did have real green beans not canned.

This is our go-​to seafood restaurant in the Atascocita area. The portions are right and the cost is reasonable. There are many grilled and fried combinations to choose from including gumbo and étouffée. It is very inconspicuous on the outside and clean and modern on the inside. The only issue (and it’s a small issue) would be with the staff who are friendly but a tad bit undertrained. I would recommend Fish Place to anyone looking for a good seafood meal.

Friendly service and awesome food. On shift today with the fire department and the staff were nice enough to give us a discount. We love eating here on the nights we don’t want to cook at the station.

Best fish place around Atascocita. The fried catfish is great, as is the gumbo. Love the catfish cold as leftovers the next day so I get extra. The sides are great, like the corn on the cob or cold slaw. We come back often when we get to needing some Cajun.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE their Boudin Balls. My husband likes their creole soup and catfish. I love their fried shrimp, red beans and rice and dirty rice. Their fresh green beans are delicious. The place is always clean and service is friendly and fast. We have eaten there 20+ times and never had a complaint about quality of food. For our family, it can get a little pricey.

Order and pay at the counter type of joint. Casual atmosphere. I ordered the Crawfish Plate. The étouffée is tasty. The dish also comes with white and dirty rice and fried crawfish tails. Nothing spectacular, but I would eat it again.

We just moved to the area and we needed somewhere good to eat. This place had good reviews and I see why. The catfish was good but the red beans and rice and the sausage were great. If you looking for good cajun food you have to try this place. We will be back!

I am constantly looking for good places to eat, trying to steer away from the bigger, corporate run restaurants in favor of mom-​and-​pop run places. My daughter and I decided to give this place a shot yesterday (7⁄13) and it was AMAZING! I had the red beans and rice dinner. It was served with 3 pieces of fried fish, red beans, rice, and sausage. Too much for one serving and had to get a to go box to carry it home. My daughter had fried fish and shrimp, with onion rings and mashed potatoes. They had a large assortment of sides to choose from (I wanted to try their dirty rice, but will save it for another trip) and both the shrimp and fish were prepared perfectly. It is limited on inside sitting room (maybe 15 – 20 tables) but we were there in the late evening and wasn’t crowded at all. Very clean and nicely decorated. I’m thinking they probably have a good lunch crowd cause their lunch menu looked very promising. Definitely going back to try the gumbo and étouffée.

If you want to sit down and enjoy a quiet meal that is quite tasty and you’re in the Atascocita area give this place a try. I have been here a few times and they never fail. The service is great the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Their large [meatless] garden salad is delicious I get it every time! The facility is always clean, the bathroom is well kept. It may not be your mom’s fried fish but it is still tasty and the hush-​puppies are a nice size and if you ask me they are seasoned to perfection definitely made in-​house, yummy. Small place, to sit down and enjoy a nice meal alone, or with great company.

I ate at The Fish Place for the first time today and i have to say it was AWESOME! The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly. I ordered the catfish poboy with oysters and boudan balls. It was so good! The oysters were big and plump and the catfish was a nice sized piece. It defenetly filled me up and i even have some left for dinner. I will go back again and i recommend The Fish Place.

I have passed by this place many times and decided it was time to give it a try. Friday evening and parking was a bit crowded as they share the strip center with a few other restaurants. I had the Fish Place Platter with sides of onion rings and Cajun fries. Large portions and had to get a to go box for the extra. I liked the fried fish the best. Was served piping hot and great seasoned coating. It was all good and I will go back and try On my way! Of the other items.

Place was clean and the staff was friendly. The food came in good sized portions and a good price. I ordered the crawfish plate, which consisted of crawfish étouffée, fried crawfish, white and dirty rice; everything was very well seasoned. I will be coming back to try the rest of the menu.
