This place keeps increasing in popularity. Their food is good, and the prices are reasonable. It can get a bit loud, so sometimes it’s worth ordering to go.

Food is always great. It’s a little pricey but i do not mind for the quality. I usually try to go at happy hour/lunch pricing. I have always had nice service there.

A great tucked away gem. Didn’t really wanna write a review fearing the word might get out. But I have to give this place and Sam(the owner) mad props! Great & consistent sushi, happy hour(is the best I’ve come across in a long time) and most of all customer service. You will be taken care of like you’re family.

Ate here with my family and my wife’s family the other night. I did enjoy the sushi, it seemed fresh, and the happy hour sake prices were AWESOME. However, like with just about any sushi spot, you never seem to be able to escape without spending a fortune in your meal. It’s nice that they have kids meals, too. All in all I would come here again, but only during happy hour to get the sake deal. Good place for a date, a night out, or a family get together!

This is by far, my favorite place to go to for sushi. My wife and I are regulars here. We love the food, the atmosphere, and the staff! We have rarely ever had a bad experience here with the wait staff. There is live music on the weekends, which adds a little more to the already great atmosphere. We have been here many times and plan to continue many more!

I’ve eaten here many times. The food is always delicious, if pricey. The drinks are perfectly mixed. A nice place to visit if you’re in Humble.

Typical strip mall food fare. Pretentious in décor, the menus had a really bad odor and the drink menu was full of these fruity mixed drinks. No premium spirits here. Had to the Cajun lobster roll and clam miso soup. Subpar to say the least. The best thing I’ve eaten on this night were these grilled beef kabobs on a bed of raw cabbage. The beef was ok but the juice that was absorbed by the cabbage made it amazing. Would not recommend

This is my go to sushi place around my house. I love the double trouble roll! My husband is out of town a lot so when I’m on my way home from work I randomly stop by for dinner and every time I have great service and the food is so fresh! I even took my mom here, she’s not a sushi person, so she had the chicken fried rice and said that was really good! Great atmosphere, great service, and great food! Yum!

The food and the staff is excellent. we had hand rolls and soft shell crab roll. the sushi and vegetable and shrimp tempura, awesome. Price is kind of high, but, if you c want lower prices, there is 838, ha, ha worth the price.

Came here once and decided to try it again to see if it was still amazing. Everything was great however, giving 3 stars because our waitress was definitely not as friendly and cool as the waiter from our first visit and they never brought us our soup and salad with our meal which it came with.

The food is great here, but the service tends to be hit or miss. It’s generally rather slow. The last two times we visited, our sushi order has come out wrong. Neither time the server caught it, and were confused when we brought it up. Both times we ordered, the wrong roll was brought out(ex: eel cucumber instead of eel avocado, I don’t remember what it was last time). They fixed it after we explained in length that it was not correct, but this time, the server took the whole plate off the table. The plate contained two other correct rolls we ordered. He brought it back with the incorrect roll missing. Working in the restaurant industry, that is not how you handle it, especially when we were eating off of the plate. You don’t take food back to the prep area that’s been touched already. The quality of the food has always been very good, however. The servers are always nice, just don’t seem to know(or be able to recognize) the menu items.

Had lunch today with a friend. We were not disappointed. I had the Teriyaki Shrimp Bento Box with brown rice. Let’s say I will definitely be back.

Great quality sushi! Usual favorites are the Venus Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. The bar has a fun atmosphere, you can watch sporting games and the sushi chefs love creating something new based on your favorites.

I loved my dinner here! My daughter and I ate here before our trip and she loved her green goblin roll! Sit at the bar with Daniel if you get the chance to stop by!

We were disappointed with our last experience at this restaurant. :(In the past, we’ve experienced great service and great food. This time it was only great food, which I don’t mind too much… as that is what you ultimately go to a restaurant for. We ordered two appetizers, three lunch specials, and a glass of wine. Not a cheap meal at all, but the quality of the food is fantastic!(It’s one of the only restaurants in Houston that prepares their shrimp properly.) Here’s the bad news… Our waiter screwed up one of the orders, which would be no big deal usually. I mean nobody can be perfect all of the time! My husband had paid extra for a different type of sushi roll with his bento box, and the waiter didn’t catch the generic California roll on his plate, before he delivered it. My husband asked him about the roll he ordered, and the waiter apologized saying he forgot to pick that plate up. No big deal we thought. Then the waiter came over with the sushi roll my husband ordered placed it on the table, and reached his BAREHAND onto my husband’s plate, grabbed the«wrong» roll and wandered off to the back of the house… There are a couple of things done wrong in this situation: In the past when I worked at restaurants, if the restaurant made a food mistake, they left it with the customer… apologizing and saying it was a free item due to their miscommunication. I was shocked that this waiter didn’t even think about offering that to him. Most of all, It wasn’t the fact that we didn’t get«free food» that bothered me… it was the fact that the waiter reached onto my husband’s plate with his bare hands to remove food… That is totally unhygienic, unprofessional, and a complete waste of food… as he couldn’t serve that to another customer… I’m assuming he placed it straight into the trash can. Why not do a good deed/build rapport with your customer when the food item can’t be reused anyways? When we finally asked for a box to package up the remainder of our meal, the waiter threw away one of our food items… After we asked him where one of the items was located, he apologized saying he threw it away and made us a new one. He did do that right! :)(Although, it is a total no-no to throw away your customer’s food after they ask for it to be boxed up.) When we got the to-go bag, we noticed that he placed the extremely heavy soup container right on top of the tempura shrimp container, squishing the poor shrimp. :( I understand having a bad day, so maybe that was what the waiter was going through… but I really think as a waiter you need to know when you make mistakes. Just like when I make mistakes at my job, I want to know so I can improve for the future. Better service = Better tip, and I know that is important to you! I don’t know if we will go back to this restaurant in the future. We usually only frequent this place when we go to the airport, but we might look for another airport stop after this incidence. Which is such a shame since I love their food!

Best Humble Area Restaurant Ever! I honestly can’t tell you what the sushi is like because every time I come here I get my usual which is the Yaki Udon with beef and shout out to the side salad which is better than the soup. This dish is delicious and the noodles are perfect. Happy Hour specials are not the greatest but still good enough. The stuffed jalapeños are a must. Spicy tuna roll doesn’t disappoint. Service is always great and the décor/ambience is fitting for a sushi bar.

«Meh. I’ve experience better.» Sounds like a good review. However, this place is cheap, cheap, cheap! So I guess that gives them an extra star. You get what you pay for. I love sushi, but I couldn’t finish my sushi here. It was just. not good. The rolls actually smelled like living fish at a supermarket. I guess that would be cool(because it’s raw fish) but it just didn’t work here. They have super cheap lunches, but just remember that you get what you pay for. Or as Hannah Montana would say, «Life’s what you make it.»

If you’re looking for a sushi fix on the Northeast of Houston, Rising Sun will be your go-to place because it’s mine! Always very clean and friendly service, and of course the food, it’s on point to satisfy your Japanese craving. The agadeshi tofu is my favorite starter. I love the subtle crunchy layer and the taste of the tofu with the seaweed shavings, and then pour it into the sauce, it’s delicious, I can never get enough! I’ve made some tofu haters to be lovers because of this dish! Since I usually come here on the weekends, they have great deals on rolls and bento boxes. The bento boxes are pretty popular, especially the chicken katsu. If you like an array of mixed rolls, pay close attention when reading the menu and choose your favorites because it’s probably going to be in there. My favorite rolls include the campaign roll, crunchy roll, spider, and Columbia roll. They are generous with their portions so get ready to leave this place with a happy tummy! Sunday nights they also have live music, nice vibe they have!
