I had low expectations for Vietnamese food outside of Chinatown/Midtown in Houston but this place really hit the spot! I ordered my standard chargrilled pork vermicelli bowl with eggroll and was very pleasantly surprised. The egg roll was tasty, crispy, and well portioned. There was a ton of chargrilled meat which was tender, flavorful, and not dry at all! The noodles were perfect and came with a bunch of veggies underneath. Service was polite and food came out quick. Overall, very pleased with this place and if I’m ever back in Humble and craving Vietnamese food, I’ll be back!

Maybe I came on a bad day or something, but I immediately didn’t like the broth in my tenderloin phở, I think it is 1A on the menu. It is very bland compared to other places I frequent in Houston. Not enough star anise I’m guessing. Service was non-existant, but I figured as much. They do give you an ample amount of meat in the large bowl I ordered, but not many noodles. I wanted to like this place more, since it’s so close to work, but I just wasn’t impressed.

Never had Phở before. I was inspired by a Co worker to try it out. To my surprise I was surrounded by several Phở restaurants in my area. Needless to say I fell in love with the Chicken Phở & my wife & I love the spring rolls! We will be back real soon!

I think they have 3 or 4 phở An places in Houston but this location is very unique. The food quality is still the same. I ordered phở, which had very flavorful broth and tons of meat, very authentic. The price is very cheap. Staffs are nice, and space is widely. Love this place. I do recommend if you are looking for a Vietnamese place for quick lunch under $ 10.

Really love the spring rolls and the staff is very friendly or hospitable. Got Phở soup Phở Tai and that had leanest meat. I will try the beef ball soup next time. The grilled and fried dishes look really good also.

As I’m sitting in my office in Greenspoint, I am reminded every Wednesday that the café in our building has phở day. The smell is one that you can almost taste the broth in your mouth. Then you get down there and you can see that they make phở as good as a baker trying to cook a kobe beef steak. It ain’t happening. As for Phở An, this is a gem that we stumbled upon in the recent months. I honestly did not want to write a review, as I am worried that everyone will want to come here and partake in the weekly ritual my boss and I indulge over gossip. No matter if the order is in the restaurant or to-go, the recipe is the same. Consistency is key to good phở. One extra dash of this or that will make you run for the door. Not here, it’s always the same broth, same meat, same everything. For someone with Food OCD, like me, it’s truly great to see a little shop like this be so on top of it. For the food, this is based on the #2. It’s awesome. The broth is one that cannot be replicated, believe me, I’ve tried at least 3 times. The meat is so fresh. Whether your order is to-go or sit down, you always get a hefty helping of sprouts, basil and veggies. If you are a newcomer to the area or to Phở, try this place out. You will not be disappointed. Don’t expect to get fast-food service(i.e. food to your table within 5 minutes), a speedy waiter or waitress. The place is usually packed and a line waiting to eat. Believe me, patience is well worth the wait. You do have to remind them, though, to refill your tea or water… but to wait for the food, it’s well worth it. And believe me, I’ve torn restaurants to shreds for crap service… and for me, it’s not the service that I want at Phở An, it’s the FOOD! OH, before I forget. If you are getting a to-go order, they charge you an extra 50¢ for each order. It’s to offset the cost of all the plastic containers and utensils(all recyclable) they use for the to-go order. When you get to your office, the only thing you will need to do is warm up the broth and pour it on your noodles. You get everything you need and I mean EVERYTHING.

Great food! If your in the mood for some good quality authentic Vietnamese cooking, try this place out! Haven’t gotten a bad dish yet. And I’ve eaten here several times. Each new dish is a taste adventure. For an appetizer the spring rolls are always a good choice. However if your up for something adventurous, try the shrimp cake. I’ve never seen them anywhere else before, and they are great! And whether your in the mood for a noodle soup, vermicelli noodle bowl or a rice plate you’ll find something here to please the palette. Come in, relax and enjoy your meal.

Service was decent but kind of slow. Food is good though even though they give a lot of meat in the phở

Oh Phở An… what would I do without you! This is the most authentic phở place in the Humble area and one of the best on the northside of Houston. I have been coming here more than 8 years. If I’m not here at least twice a week; I go through withdrawals. My favorite is the phở dac viet which is the combination phở that has all the meat. I am a HUGE phở fan and have ate it in several states and Phở An makes the best phở dac viet. The broth is so delicious and so authentic. What I like about phở an is that they give you A LOT of meat, which most places do not. The spring/summer rolls are delicious as well. I have tried the rice and vermicelli dishes and they taste great as well! Service: it’s an authentic Vietnamese restaurant ran by Vietnamese people… there is no service. However, that’s how you know you’re in an authentic Asian restaurant.

This is my go to place for phở in the Humble area and whenever I have to travel to the Woodlands for work. It is probably the most authentic Vietnamese food in the Humble area. I have been to all 3 locations and they all taste the same. The service can be better though.

Food is always good here. But the servers are sooo rude. Didn’t get our water. We had to ask for drinks. Hopefully they can work on customer service because the food is actually really good.

Service is non-existent at this place, there was no hello or thank you from the waitress. The spring rolls were really small and mine literally had 2 pieces of lettuce. The phở was ok but it was far from great. The food is edible but not a place i would return to.

Decent Vietnamese food can be found here. I really likes the lemongrass tofu and rare beef Phở. Prices are good… and so is the service.

The food is amazing. What makes this place different from V Bistro is that their menu actually includes combo plates that are extensive like the grilled pork plate with egg AND shredded meat AND egg roll AND a side of pickled veggies AND broth lol! Their Broth is significantly deeper & saltier in taste. I would also like to add that their Vietnamese coffee(dark dark coffee with condensed milk) is served well here. I just hate the staff during lunch hours. They seem to always be cranky or mean that it’s not inviting or particularly professional. But hey! It’s good food.
