Very horrible service. Alfredo the asst mgr was very rude and should be fired. The hostess stated one thing and it was totally disregarded. The manager needs to reach out to me and correct Alfredo’s behavior.

We waited and waited for this location to open last year because we enjoyed the other 4 locations we have tried around the Houston Area. We were not disappointed in the service or quality. We usually go for lunch, but one time we went for dinner and the menu was different. I wanted to order Chicken Stuffed Jalapenos, but didn’t see them. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he said they were still on the lunch menu. I must have made a disappointed face, but when I replied«Oh.» He said he could still request them for me. I was so happy; they are my favorite. *****Here is why I didn’t give 5 stars***** My sister ordered the fish tacos that I told her were so good. I noticed the presentation was different than I had gotten the 3 or 4 times I had them over the years, but I never had them at this location. I should have said something because it was the SEAFOOD Taco plate that she got, and it had shellfish in it… she doesn’t eat shellfish. I insisted she make it known to the waiter, even though she didn’t want to make a big deal, but he needed to know the difference… some people are allergic to shellfish. She got her meal comped by the manager, but I a bit saddened since I raved about Los Cucos Fish Tacos. So if you order Fish tacos, be sure they come wrapped in aluminum foil. *************************************************** We went to this location again after a year, for my Birthday, yesterday. The food and Margaritas were delicious, but I must say the service was very slow… so I changed my 4 stars to 3. We went just before 5 to beat the Friday rush, we thought. Maybe it was just our waitress because another table with a large party complained about her to a manager… they had been waiting longer than we were to GIVE their orders. Our waitress didn’t come back after we got our appetizers and first drinks. When she was found by the manager and sent to the large party table, we flagged her down & she came back to our table & we order our entrée’s. If she had been more attentive she could have sold more drinks as well… heck my husband TOLD her when sat down that it is my birthday, but she never even asked if I wanted another Top Shelf Margarita. She didn’t even suggest/offer dessert. When were done and our drinks were empty we waited and waited for a check and I expressed my disappointment that they sang Happy Birthday to another customer, but not me. I left my husband to wait for the bill and visited the ladies’ room(DAMAS) where one of the employees came in after me and left just before me without washing her hands… maybe she was just checking everything, but I did hear a flush. When I got back he had the bill and credit card ready to give her if she ever came back. A manager stopped two times to ask if we needed anything & even went & got our check, but we let her know we already gave our credit card. A little while later she showed up with a busboy & sang a half hearted Happy Birthday to me… turns out my husband said something to her while I was in the ladies room. I’m not sure why the service was so slow, the restaurant was not packed and the banquet room was ready to go, but the guests had not arrived yet. IF she had at least smiled or said something to us she might have gotten more than 15% since I usually give upwards of 20% tips, but I could not justify it this time.

This was my first time to this Los Cucos location, the service was warm and friendly with a smile. Compliments to the bar tender Justin for his exemplary customer service. I would highly recommend this location to anybody to stop in and grab a hot fresh bite to eat.

I always enjoy las Cucos. It is family friendly. They make the kids feel like they are just as important as the adults. The food is good, the waitstaff is friendly and competent. The food is consistently good. The service has also been consistently good for me. They are not anti second amendment and that is a big plus for my family and myself.

I was very disappointed the fajitas for two was not enough. It was barely enough for one and for 31.00 it should have a hell of a lot more. I will be going back to mi rancho on the other side of beltway 8. I couldn’t find parking at this place, I think it is cause the workers are parked out front to make it seem like a great place and had a long wait for a unsatisfying meal. No stars. Don’t go. Save yourself the trouble.

Today 04/13/2016 at 5:45 pm my wife brought home two enchilada dinners. One a Del Rio, the other a Las Ricas(supposedly seafood with crab) I firmly believe if there was any crab the cook picked one up and waived it over the dish. Both dishes totally void of any taste. One could find a better tasting meal dumpster diving. These chains love to expand, though apparently there is never a inspection of quality food for the customers. Whoever the head chef is and the minions he oversees in the kitchen is a JOKE! I personally could run circles around these guys in the kitchen. Never again Cucos… Cannot entertain CRAP again.

I have tried several dishes at Los Cucos, but my favorites keep me coming back for more. I love the chili con queso, and I love that I can get it as a single side order instead of an appetizer — it’s cheaper and it’s not so much cheese, so I don’t over-indulge. One of my favorite dishes is the Fajitas a La Poblana which is loaded with a creamy sauce, poblano peppers and mushrooms. If you get it for 1, the rice is placed on the skillet which gives it an interesting crisp. I also love the Panchito. It did not sound appetizing to me, but when my mom ordered it one day almost a year ago, I had to taste it and was shocked by all the flavor and quality seafood. I have not ordered another dish since I tried it. It is eggplant at its absolute best — who knew it could taste so good — probably because it is so well deep fried. Also on the menu are my favorite frozen margaritas. If you go on Monday or Tuesday, they are only $ 1.99 a piece. This particular location is large and clean and newer than most in Houston. The staff is friendly, although on one or two visits, I have had an inattentive waiter. The food is usually consistent, just don’t go on off peak meal times if you want to explore the meals at their best.

First time I came here the food was good but the customer service was horrible. My second time at this location and it was a way better experience customer service wise the only complaint I had was from my four year old son waiting on his quesadilla which came seven minutes after my food. Other than that the good was great and service was way better than my first trip definitely coming back.

Took two clients for lunch here today. Ambience: 3* Standard Mexican restaurant décor. Nice and clean. I’m not sure the hostess spoke English or just ignored us. Not a big deal. Service: 4* I’ve read mixed reviews on Unilocal, but today was good. Alba was our waitress. She was very efficient and polite. Not engaging with the table but that’s okay. Food: 4* I’m very finicky about 3 things at Mexican restaurants. 1st Queso must be authentic and not Velveeta esk. They passed with flying colors. There’s was smooth and quite good. 2nd now don’t judge me! how are there Shrimp Quesadillas ! They did great, so I will go again to try other items. 3rd and finally, how are the Margaritas. Well today was a work lunch and I couldn’t partake… which is so disappointing! Overall: 4* I will come back to test the Margaritas! All else being said this was a great visit.

This past Saturday I reserved one of their party rooms for a dinner party for my wife’s birthday! I can’t begin to describe how amazing the service and the staff is to help put it together. They went above and beyond in every way possible. They also did a good job to insure everyone got their food and it was still hot even for those who got their late. The food was great and they even threw in some Chile con Queso for each table. They even helped us put up some of the decorations in the room and helped me connect my laptop to their TV. I want to give special recognition to the managers Norberto & Jaime who helped coordinate and also the waitress Carla who was incredible to work with! World-class service here at this restaurant. Each of the workers was servant-minded and ready to help us with whatever we needed. I feel like we formed a bond with the people there. I definitely will be booking another party at this location.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times. But I must say this past weekend when I went unfortunately my entrée made me sick. Literally ill, for the past couple of days. Not trying to bash the place, just giving a heads up. Hopefully the management of the restaurant will see this & know something needs to be checked. Again, I’ve never had a problem with the resturant before until now.(Going back to eating my tums now.)

The service is fast and friendly. The dining area is roomy, with a large bar as well. Not the best tex mex, but it’s fairly priced and better than some others in the area. Nice spot for large group dinners, and I’ve even noticed a private dining room.

I’ve eaten at this new restaurant three times. All times the food was super delicious. I had the best waiter. Without him, the rest of the service staff vary from mediocre to average. The drinks — especially margaritas — are below average. Don’t celebrate a birthday here especially if you’re a woman because he staff have an awkward rite including putting their hands all over you and getting whip cream all over your face. They are the only ones who think it’s funny. I would only return because of my waiter, Omar.

Wow what an experience! My wife and I went last Friday and the food was pretty good but the service magnificent! I ordered beef enchiladas which was fairly decent but my wife’s mixed chicken and beef fajitas were amazing! The service was mind blowing and most definitely the best part. My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with the server we had! She delightful greeted out table with a sincere, warm welcoming smile that made us feel like we were regulars. She took our orders promptly and even recommended the fajitas for my wife,(which by the way guys is a must have!) Our food was served a little late(it was pretty packed guys) but she went out of her way and got us status updates on our food every 15 min. She refilled our drinks before they were even half empty, and some how knew instinctively when we needed anything. My wife was so happy with the service, she even said, «we have to have her everytime we eat here now joey» Which as you know guys a happy wife means a happy life! And finally after a beautiful night and mucho pefecto service I had to ask the server, «With your hospitality and marvelous attitude, how is it your not serving at a 34 star restaurant?» She replied«Well I enjoy having customers like y’all too much to want to change» I then said«would your recommend service from any other server here?» She then replied unhesitantly with with warm radiating and embracing friendliness that put a smile on my wife’s face“Everyone here sir!“ I knew in my mind at that moment she is going to be our server here everytime I eat. Joyce good work and outstanding job!!!

I’ve been a Los Cucos fan for quite a few years now, but the service I received today rekindled my fondness of them. The food was hot and fresh as usual; although there seemed to have been an improvement in the queso(I didn’t even think that was possible). However, Jeff, our waiter, was the highlight of the meal. He anticipated my every need and provided for it before I could make the request — this is huge for me! Ask for him at the Sam Houston Pkwy location; you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent! I ordered take out, it was the Bom Bom? I can’t remember. It had bacon wrapped shrimp, a beef taco, and a green enchiladas. The beef taco was gross(to me) but the service was excellent. The churros were excellent too. I will be going back.

Came here on a Thursday night, it was moderately packed. Got seated right away, server came up right away. When we asked for suggestions, he stumbled over his words and said it depends on what you like. Umm ok. Great job. We order drinks, he brings them promptly and while my friend ordered the watermelon Margarita and loved it, I got the Pina one and it was horrible. I sent it back and asked for a regular top shelf. It literally took 10 minutes. I could see the bar and it was not that busy, the bartender was leaning against the well talking to a server, laughing. Food came out, it was just ok. Def had better. Service was not the best, and I think it’s rude to put up chairs directly next to a table while they are eating. Most likely won’t be back.

Love the atmosphere on the patio. It would have been way too hot to sit out there but they enclosed and air conditioned it so it was perfect. The peach margarita was delicious as was the food. The chips and green sauce are my fav. Portions are huge. I got a fried avocado and fajita meat on the side with rice and beans. It was all very good and enough to take home and make two more meals out of. The bathrooms were very clean as was the rest of the restaurant. My serious complaint was the service. Our waiter’s name was Jose. He was very polite when he was around but he was hardly ever around. This was not at a busy time either. Half the time I was looking for him he was standing at the hostess stand visiting with the other servers. We had a hard time getting drink refills. When he did come by he would drop off what we had asked for and run straight off instead of asking if there was anything else we needed. I was literally having to go find him at points to ask for small things. It’s a shame because a little bit of training and focus on his part would have made this a great experience.

Definitely edible, just won’t order again. Overall, this was an average experience, the Old Katy location and Katy Mills location have excellent customer service. Hopefully Humble will wow me next time!

Ordered takeout for the family last night and we were pleased with our big order which consisted or various fajitas, chicken flautas, and fish tacos. They also gave us a hugs bag of tortilla chips and accompanying sauces and queso(also in generous quantities). It was all way more than we needed but that’s an observation and not a complaint. When we arrived to pick up our food, they didn’t just hand us shopping foods of food but took the time to pull out everything from the bag to ensure everything was in there and show us what went with what. That was a nice gesture and very helpful as well. The serving portions were very generous and we devoured our food and still had some leftovers. Well, I didn’t have any because personally as I was set on polishing off my fajitas, esp. since it’s hard to get Tex-Mex as good as this back home in NYC. Everyone enjoyed their meal and were stuffed afterwards. All of our food was fresh and well packaged. They covered all the bases to make sure containers were well-taped to prevent the wet items from spilling out. The only complaints I had were that the beef fajita pieces were not cut a little more thin and that they didn’t give us sour cream with the order. Luckily, it didn’t spoil anything for us as we could easily cut the meat, if desired, and we had sour cream at the house. The location is easy to get to and hard to miss, just off of Beltway 8 and Wilson & just beyond the Fall Creek entrance. They have plenty of parking, which is very much needed given the size of the place. I hear they have put a hurting on the nearby competition, including Julia’s which is just beyond Los Cucos. I would definitely come back to Los Cucos when I’m in the area and the craving for Tex-Mex hits(as it often does). Next time, perhaps we’ll dine in and experience the ambiance and service. I also wouldn’t hesitate to carry out again if that’s what everyone opted for. Giving Los Cucos a strong 4 stars, if not higher.

The best of both worlds: a relatively new restaurant + a free birthday meal. You know I had to check this place out – and I was pretty impressed, FULL and tipsy once I left! First of all, the location of this Los Cucos is right off the feeder, so no searching and seeking this place despite the recent commercial developments in the area. Secondly, the parking lot is very spacious if you include parking from nearby businesses. However, I can imagine that at peak hours, parking maybe sparse, so complimentary valet parking is available. Walking up to the establishment, the archicetecture of the building is so beautiful: colorful and cool with a touch of rustic charm. A pretty good combination for a late brunch. Once inside, you’ll see the wait staff to the left and the take out counter to your immediate right. I was given a friendly greeting once I entered and lead to a spacious booth to dine. Two menus packed with delectable dining choices and various spirits were handed to me to make the tough decision on how I would spend my birthday meal voucher from Los Cucos’ email club. I could go for the gusto and get an expensive meal or be frugal. I didn’t know what to eat, but I was pretty certain I wanted a drink! I decided to satisfy my pallette with a Sangria Margarita, which comes cold, sweet, frozen, and very generous with the liquor – a great drink to enjoy on a hot summer day. I was pleased with my drink, basket of fresh tortilla chips, and house salsa while I perused the menu for my meal. You can definetly become easily indecisive with the selection that Los Cucos offers. From enchiladas to fajitas along with chimichangas, tamales, and tacos comes some cheesey and flavorful dishes to tantalize your tastebuds as well as a lighter calorie selections for those watching their figure. I definetly was here to make my stomache happy and opted out of the lighter, low cal dishes. After asking my waistress her opinion on three different dishes, I finally decided to get the Fajitas Mariachi which is a beef, chicken, and shrimp combo that comes with homemade tortillas, pico de gallo, guac, a lettuce leaf, spanish rice, and the BEST borracho beans that made my tastebuds leap for joy! I ended up eating my beans first since my fajita plate was piping hot. They were so flavorful that I asked for a second bowl, which they were nice enough to not charge me an extra $ 2.25 for. I ended up taking the second bowl of beans home because I had to make sure my fajitas were legit. The steak that was quite tender along with the chicken breast – both flavorful. The grilled shrimp were an ample size and grilled with a touch of lime– a perfect compliment to the pico de gallo and salsa, but once I ate my fajita, I realized that I should have gotten a dish with cheese in it, so my pallate wasn’t completely satisfied, but I respected the authenticity of the meal and the quicknest in which the meal came out after I ordered. However, I wondered if that would happen since the service and attention to my table was pretty slow or non existant until I waved down a server and inquired if she was my server for the day. After I ordered, the service was much better, but I noticed that most of the lunch crowd had left bu that time– giving them more time to attend to my needs. To round off my meal, I had to indulge in sopapillas which comes with cinnamon and sugar spirinkled on the plate with a side of chocolate sauce. I am use to eating this delectable dessert with honey, so I asked for some and had more appreciation for the desert versus eating it with the chocolate sauce. That’s a personal preference, but I will say that after eating their sopapillas, I’m not hooked and do not have to indulge in the extra calories again. I ended up paying less than $ 5 for my meal with my birthday voucher(alcohol doesn’t count neither does dessert), but based on my receipt, my drink only cost me $ 3. Nice!!! But that one drink made me extremely sleepy in combination with my meal, which I ended up eating off of three times! This place is decent enough to dine in if you have the patience as well as affordable for those with a frugal pocketbook. Next time you’re in the area, this location is worth the stop and smell and most importantly, the satisfaction to tame one“s stomach!

With all the hype surrounding this place during it’s first month of opening, we wanted to let the crowd died down before visiting. We ventured in on a rainy Saturday evening, and were seated right away. The food was a 3 our of 5 and the margaritas I had was a 5! Their tortillas are made fresh and taste great. The Beef and chicken are flavorful but the shrimp were a little puny. I recommend a Jumbo Mango, Top Shelf Margarita on the rocks and the Mariachi that comes with 2 soft tacos with chicken, beef and shrimp. Very good!

Surprisingly pretty good for tex-mex. I had the fish tacos and they had pretty good flavor. I’m not a big fan of tex-mex chain restaurants but I was impressed enough with this one. Will be coming back if I’m in need of tex-mex again.

This place was packed! The wait was supposed to be 25 minutes, but actually was I my about 10. The 10 oz beer was $ 3.50 and the 22oz(which was huge) was $ 5.50. Table side guac was ahhmazing! I ordered a chicken fajita salad and it was nothing special. Lettuce was cut in huge chunks. The shrimp«ceviche» was described on the menu as «ground shrimp», which sounded odd, but was in fact dices shrimp tossed in cocktail sauce. Strange BC ceviche is usually in a lime juice. It tasted strange. Staff was slow, but friendly!

My first time at a Los Cucos and this one had just opened near my place. Very nice interior and the place was well staffed even at around 9PM. Our server Omar did an excellent job at taking care of us, we didn’t wait long to be waited on after we got seated. His attitude toward us was very genuine and he always had a smile. Typical Mexican food is sold here, nothing too different from your other restaurants like this.
