The room was fine and the beds comfortable. The morning manager was a cavalier little prick who sent our shuttle on early causing us to miss our flight. He was argumentative and insufferable. His name is Luis/Louis. If you want to fly from Houston avoid at all costs. The place should be shut down. In addition he lied about shuttle times. I cannot stress strongly enough to stay away if you want to make a connection.

As a person who has stayed in a plethora of hotels from the Ritz Carlton to a roach motel in da ghetto, I know hotels. hahaha This was the only place that didn’t charge and arm and leg for my DOGS! :) So, in other words, if you love my dogs, I love you, too! They are PETFRIENDLY! Was it the newest hotel? Absolutely not! But, I felt comfortable taking a shower and laying on the bed and it was clean. I HATE old nasty bathrooms, so before I swiped my plastic, I asked to see my room! I didn’t see any bugs, dust, or mold. There was no musty old smell. There was no old-fashioned floral comforter. The breakfast was free! It is not within walking distance to any restaurants besides Burger King, so you may want to RENT A CAR! I’m a simple gal, so I ordered a pizza one night and Chinese the other and was satisfied. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the LOCATION and CELLPHONESERVICE. I rented a car, so everything was cool for me. However, if you booked your trip last minute or couldn’t get a rental car, you may feel a little isolated. Look for hotels that are actually on JFKBOULEVARD because there’s a couple restaurants. Cell phone service sucks, so you may miss an important phone call. The closest mall is Deerbrook, however, you need a car/shuttle to get there. There is a PLATO’S CLOSET, WALMART, TARGET all within 10 minutes, but you will NEED A CAR. ADVICE??? RENT A CAR! Usually weekend rentals are cheaper and the rental car place is right up the street at the airport. Definitely put aside $ 100 for a car, so you won’t be stuck in the room allllllllllll day!

Ok for a night. It’s a little run down and without GPS very hard to find when you are coming from the airport. Very friendly staff though. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy.

They are in the middle of doing some remodeling. The rooms are nice and well appointed. The internet leaves MUCH to be desired though. Service is spotty and extremely slow.

Clean room, nice people(mostly). They truly bent over backwards to make the stay nice for me. It’s appreciated, and that’s why two stars. But they just couldn’t overcome the institutional failures(this location, not all La Quintas). The set up: I got a room here so I wouldn’t miss my flight due to the inclement weather the next morning. I live semi-locally. I drove in to the airport, parked my vehicle and took the hotel shuttle… so I won’t miss my flight. Great plan! The airport shuttle is a shared service with several other hotels, and is run by an off-airport parking service. This means that the hotel doesn’t know when the van will pick you up, or where they are. I was told(twice) that the van was«almost there» though. If you call the parking service directly… they don’t know either and it took two calls to figure that out. Now you know why the hotel doesn’t know! Hint: it took 32 minutes from my first call to get the van to the terminal, and I was standing at the pick-up spot when I called. Hint number 2: the hotel has a placard on the front desk stating that the van runs every 30 min. on the hour and half hour. More on this later. My first room was right next to the elevator. The manager very kindly switched my room for me(this is the nice part)… but they had just painted that floor. It was unbearable. So I was moved again, to a very nice room. But wait! Did you want something besides feather pillows? «Sorry, we are out.» Luckily, I had my vehicle sort of handy and Walmart isn’t too far away. Except the van is «on the way.» It’s not on a schedule. What happened to the sign stating on the hour and half hour, you ask? The shuttle is «on demand» now. No idea when it’ll get here. The posted schedule seems to be out the window, apparently because of the light rain. Now this is imperative; I’m going to have to have my own vehicle. I’m not sure the airport shuttle will be on time(whatever that is) in the morning but I’m pretty sure the flight will be. Luckily they showed up after five minutes or so in this case. Ah, that free high speed internet? just gave me a 708ms ping, 0.00MB/s down and 0.23MB/s up. That’s on the second try, the first one failed to connect. So, some three hours after my initial call to catch the shuttle, $ 55 in pillows, and retrieving my own vehicle so I could do my own airport shuttle, I was comfortably in my room. So, why am I here again? Sorry folks. If you are looking for an airport hotel, this isn’t it. If you need a local hotel and/or have your own wheels to get you to the airport on time(kind of defeats the purpose of staying at the airport) and you don’t mind bringing your own bedding, this might work out for you.

I read the reviews online about their poor airport shuttle, but that didn’t affect me as I had a rental car to return and this hotel was close to the airport for my early flight out. Front desk staff was very nice and understanding with my specific room requests. I didn’t use the pool, but the business center was fast and user-friendly. Breakfast wasn’t much, but lasted me through my flight home. Would stay here again if needed easy airport access without the shuttle.

3 stars comes from major pluses and minuses so read on. On the down side, I called twice for a shuttle from the airport. My family and I had just arrived on an overnight international flight and needed sleep! The second time I called I was told the driver was near but after waiting a full half an hour, I needed to get my kids to sleep. I explained this to the desk clerk. I was told the owner wasn’t likely to do anything about it. Thus, I was out $ 15. On the up side, this hotel is new and beautiful. Our suite was incredibly comfortable and clean. It’s not far from the airport, so it should be a quick trip if the shuttle ever showed up. I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for the transportation issue.
