Today was my first visit to this store and I came to buy some clothes for my mom. We were greeted when we walked in and I immediately saw so many cute outfits. The store was bright and clean especially the changing rooms. Clothes were super cute and prices were decent. The clearance items were nice and 60% off. Coupon online was able to be used and the checkout associate was very nice and hung up the clothes as she checked them. I will be back for sure!

I went into this location today. I walked inside, and when I was about halfway through the store, an employee greeted me. I responded to her and said ‘hello’. When I got to the counter, she gave me a dirty look and said«Did you not hear me talk to you?» In my mind I was thinking, «Are you serious?» This woman was scolding me as if I were a child. I am a grown woman, and that was incredibly uncalled for. I’ll never go back and deal with this unprofessional establishment again.

It’s been sixteen days now since my run in with the dress barn. I wrote a letter to Corporate and still have not received anything in return. I keep calling the store once in a while to try and get ahold of the General Manager to talk to her to let her know what Happened on 08/08/2013. And every time I call, It sounds like the woman I had issues with, So my guess is that She is the General Manager, and Nothing will be done to her. I have written Dress Barn Again tonight to let them know, I have NOT forgotten how I was deeply offended and that I was even more offended that NOONE in Corporate even cared to write me back or follow up with a phone call or the General Manager of the Store. So until I get ahold of a District Manager Or a General Manager and Hopefully Corporate. I will be following up on this and continue to let my fellow friends and family members as well as the the followers I have on my two very own personal blogs, the costumer service of in store and corporate has to offer here at Dress Barn! Bottom Line Ladies and Gentleman, Do not support a Company that is willing to treat the common Customer with brash, insults of a Guest/Customer based on that person’s body type/size. The reason why I shop that store was because I fit those types of clothes, they cater to my size, until I was deeply offended by the lack of respect from their employee. My advice to the Corporate and District Manager, If you do not wish for Heavy set woman to shop freely in your store, then don’t sell clothes that cater to PLUSSIZE woman, seems to me, it’s a bully system, and your employee seems to think she is in High School running things by insulting and disrespecting a woman based on her Plus size figure! Seems to me that there needs to be some BIG changes in store for that store, including a Job Opening to an Employee willing to do their job and not insult women based on their material interest of clothing and size of a woman. I will be following up with weekly letters to the Facebook Page of Dress Barn as well as the Corporate Office and here on Unilocal until I get an answer from someone!

I started coming here after shopping at the downtown location and finding that I like their merchandise. This store is relatively new. The facility is nice and neat. The store’s inventory is kept well with the dresses racked up neatly and not a lot of crazy misplacement of items as can happen in other stores. The selection is good, especially since they carry«regular» sizes on one side of the store and plus sizes on the other. The plus sizes are generally not as cute as the«regular» sizes, but I think that’s because the fashion industry thinks larger women have no taste or want to dress like children with lots of ruffles and strange fabric flowers. I find this is a general failing of all plus size places, not just Dress Barn. As the name implies, they have dresses. There is generally a good selection of them at any one time. I like this because a lot of other stores have generally reduced their inventory of dresses, opting for separates instead. The overall Dress Barn sales model is relatively familiar with up-to-date styles being sold for a regular and relatively higher price. Then, as time goes on, they put the items on sale. Discounts get larger as time goes on and eventually the items land on the 50 to 70 percent off sale racks. This means you should check the store out and then go back in a couple of weeks to see if the items you liked have been marked down and keep coming back. It’s the olé game of price chicken. Will the item you like still be there when the price gets to where you like it? No one knows. This location’s staff is friendly and courteous. They are happy to help you get a changing room and with fetching items in a different size.
