I stopped in today and spent way too much money. Lol. They have an extensive marinated meat display plus homemade sausages, roasts, chops etc. I got a bacon, cheese and ranch stuffed chicken breast that was absolutely delicious. I also got a couple varietys of marinated tips. Both given two thumbs up by my sons. They have 141 different flavor a of kcups. Mix and match 13.99 for 24. Some specialty items include locally made pasta sauces, pickles, cookies etc. a bit pricey($ 12.99 lb for steak tips) but I’ll be back for special occasions. They young guy helping me today was super knowledgable and friendly.

I have tried this place many times as it is one of very few places that sells Boars Head deli meats. I find it embarrassing that they do not know how to slice the deli meats and sells you gray tinted and dried out meats. I have given this place its last chance to keep me as a customer and it failed yet again what was I thinking. I will never go back again sick of throwing away meats 12 hours after they sell them to me!!!

Normally pretty good steak tips, but last batch was a disappointment. I had people over last weekend and bought almost $ 60 worth split between two marinade flavors. I’m a regular and cook them exactly the same each time. All were noticeably much tougher than normal. And everyone at the table agreed.

Just went up here today at 9:00 due to google saying they open at 9. I got there and they appeared closed. I called the store and someone, who I presume to be the owner, answered. He let us know that the google time was wrong, that they actually open at 10, and offered to open the doors early for us. Just cooked up some of the pre-marinated steak tips(ahso sauce) using the broiler(based on the owners advice) and these are some of the most tender steak tips I’ve ever eaten. I’ll be going back here in the very near future for sure.

A butcher who doesn’t sell fresh cut ribs, but instead sells packaged frozen ones from a third party. This is not something I can get behind.

Bought several Italian sausage and ONE Chinese sausage, he put them all in the same bag. I had red Italian sausage with a slight Chinese flavor. That was nothing compared to the stuffed chicken breasts. Bought Monday 9÷23÷2013 Cooke them Wednesday the 25 th, they smelled a little funky before cooking but thought maybe stuffing or just picked up a meat case smell, cooked one hour indirect on a pellet grill, looked juicy and tender. THEYWEREABSOLUTLEYRANCID, UNEATABLE This place should be shut down

I have no quarrel with the quality of the meat. However, several months ago I called several days ahead to order a very expensive cut of meat, explaining that I wanted it wrapped with string to facilitate roasting it. I told them when I would pick it up, down to the hour of the day. When I arrived a few days later at the appointed time, it was not ready! I had to stand there and wait almost 20 minutes while they cut and wrapped it. No apology at all.

If I’m having people over and want the best BBQ food then this is where I go! They have so many great chicken and steak tip marinade choices that I stand there staring through the glass for 10 min trying to decide what to get. The Redsox steak tips are my favorite along with the garlic and herb chicken.

I picked up 10 lbs of hangar steak marinated in the Red Sox tips marinade, and it went over better than I could have expected. In fact, I’m banned from the annual New Years party unless I bring some with! The guys were great in working with me, beer selection is excellent and this is definitely a place to visit if you have foodies coming over with allergy issues(they answered all of my questions and then some). I moved to Lowell over the summer, and this is WELL worth the drive up on a busy saturday morning.

The selection of meats and craft beers was fabulous. I love finding stores like this, and I ended up purchasing a chicken pot pie. The chicken pot pie was absolutely delicious and if I lived closer then I think I would have gone back by now and purchased another for later in the week. The assortment of meats, and the prices, looked great too and I’d definitely go here all the time if I lived nearby. My big complaint, however, has to do with pricing. They have a large assortment of k-cups and you can fill your own box. The sign(and I might add, the only sign anywhere near the display) says $ 12.99 for 24 k-cups. I didn’t want 24 so I only filled up the box with 14. I told the woman at the counter and she gave me a blank look but continued with my check-out without another word. Well, I was in the car and decided to check my receipt because I was sure the chicken pot pie cost less than it must have to add up to over $ 25 total. I initially thought they billed me for 24 k-cups so since we weren’t too far away, my friend and I turned around. I spoke to the owner and cashier and it turns out that I wasn’t overcharged, however, k-cups are .99 cents each if you don’t do the 24 for 12 special. Umm… I really think they should have a sign in the area stating this and the cashier should have said something to me. To his credit, the owner said I could grab 10 more and they refunded my change. That’s poor customer service and has to make me wonder about other aspects of the store.

The meat quality is great, as is the selection(not to mention the premade meal section is extensive), but what really stood out for me is the customer service. My first time there, I was about to order a sub at their adjoining pizza place(Adamo’s), so I walked over to the butcher shop to get recommendations. I found the staff(3 guys, at the time) to be knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. I like my roast beef rare, and the guy who cooked it that day told me that the roast had been unusually large, so, due to having needed a longer cooking time, it was a bit on the dry side that day, and suggested I get the Steakhouse instead. THAT, is what I expect from honest and well run establishment; and that is what will keep me going back. It also doesn’t hurt that they serve Boar’s Head meats. I only wish they could do something about the traffic…

A great place to stop before a cookout or tailgating. This meat market carries a good selection of USDA high quality meats such as steaks, tips, tri tips, filets, chicken, pork, and seafood. Some meats are already marinated ready to be packed. They also stock prepared food, cold salads, pasta, cheeses, prepacked meats, desserts, cold beverages, and dry goods such as jar goods, sauces, marinades, and boxed items. Don’t feel like cooking. Then walk over to the space next door, Adamo’s Pizza, owned and operated by Bull Run Beef. The pizza calzones are very tasty!
