Russo’s On The Bay

My son’s 8^th grade prom was here about two years ago but I didn’t go inside when I dropped him off. Fast forward to 2016, my church’s event was held here so I was super excited to have a reason to visit for myself.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by the valet staff who kindly parked my car for me and the kind doormen who held the door for us. I love beautiful businesses that take pride in their décor and cleanliness. There was a elevator waiting to take us to the second floor to check our coats in. The coat check lady was very friendly and nice.
The bathroom was so beautiful… yes I said it and the bathroom attendant was cordial. She had an arsenal of supplies, such as mints, lotion and so much more on deck.
As we left the bathroom to walk to the room where the cocktail hour was being held, I just admired the beautiful décor, seating and artwork.
I found a seat and proceeded to the cocktail area to sample some appetizers which were really good. The service was exceptional and the servers were on point… great service!
The food, desserts and drinks were very good. I enjoyed everything that I ate at Russo’s. What stood out to me the most here was the service which was absolutely amazing. The phone reception wasn’t really good so I asked one of the servers for the password for their wifi and she kindly gave it to me which was cool. I would definitely come back here in the near future.

My son and daughter-​in-​law recently celebrated their wedding with a reception at this venue. The evening was magical with many elegant features thanks to Russo’s staff.

This place blew me away on so many levels:
We went here for the Teamsters Local 282 100^th Anniversary Dinner Dance.
Having never been here, my friend Jerry told me, «You don’t wanna miss the cocktail hour” — boy was he right.
Lobster Station was riiiiiidiculous.
Shrimp, roast pig, pretty much whatever you can think of.
ELEVEN entrée choices for the main course?!
Probably the best time I’ve had out in eons, maybe ever.
Had great entertainment-«The USO Girls».
I can’t say enough good things about this place.
No doubt about it– I’ll be back next year.

This wedding venue is awesome. I’ve been to numerous weddings at this venue and enjoyed them all. The food is sooo good. The dessert is sooo good. The venue it self is absolutely beautiful inside and out. If you are planning a wedding please try Russos!

Went to Russo’s on the bay for AA Christmas party (holiday party). Beautiful place, very good food, good drinks and good wine, beautifully decorated for the holidays, customer service was excellent and even the music was good, music for everyone to dance to, the added touch the attendant in bathroom was so helpful took my coat to check in because I didn’t know where it was and she held my dance shoe bag until the end of the evening. I would love to go back.

Granted I only experienced Russo s On The Bay for a work event I still think the service was really, really great. I have heard about Russo s for awhile now and I have also read plenty of reviews. I wonder no more, the food is excellent, great artmosphere. waiters are very attentive to your need and the décor is exquisite. I will highly recommend Russo s To everyone and have no doubt it will indeed be to their liking.

If there were more stars I would give them! This is my second time coming to russo’s, Last night I went to russo’s for a wedding reception. From the time you enter russo’s til the time you leave their customer service exceeds all!!! The cocktail hour food was over the top! The food was excellent and it seems like the food just kept coming once we entered the main dining room, and FLAVORFUL food I must add. Everyone was full on the love of the food! I really had an exceptional time at russo’s !

I came here for a wedding and it was a great experience. From the minute we walked in to the end everyone that worked there was super friendly and attentive. There was another party going on but the rooms were so far from each other you wouldn’t even notice except when I went to the bathroom since both parties shared the bathroom.
I really like the bathroom very spacious, with couches and the best part they had a flatscreen that was showing the Mets at the playoffs :)
Most catering halls the food is always okay and very generic however the food here was really really good. I had the Chilean sea bass as my entrée and it was delicious.
It was a great night.

My daughter had her wedding this past weekend in the Tivoli Room of Russos on the Bay. Our experience was wonderful from beginning to end. The cocktail hour was outstanding. I had guests come up to me and asked me if this was dinner. The dinner was excellent, the room beautiful and the service great. A special thank you to Christina who was a gem. Thank you to everyone at Russos that made it such a wonderful wedding for us.

The attendant in women’s bathroom is super rude and makes you feel uncomfortable you would expect way better from this place !

The attendant in the bathroom is very discourteous and unfriendly, the complete opposite of what is expected

Russo’s IS NOT kid friendly. A simple task, like a father taking his 2 year old daughter to the bathroom is not only frowned upon but the inconsiderate bathroom attendant wouldn’t even let me in the bathroom. So because of Russo’s lack of giving a shit my daughter urinated in her beautiful party dress. She was ashamed and couldn’t understand why. How do you explain this situation to a 2 yr old who is doing great a her potty training? So after the closest staff member witnessed this fiasco all I got was an «I’m sorry» and a shoulder shrug… then I explained my situation to a manager and once again I got a shoulder shrug as is he was saying «oh well not our problem»
Not that Russo’s would care, but I’ll never go there again and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Words can’t express my love for Russo’s. We had our Wedding here in February and I have not one compliant except that I can not relive that day! I would recommend Russo’s HANDS DOWN!

My husband and I were married at Russo’s On The Bay. The place is perfect. The staff is perfect. The food is perfect. I’m so happy that we decided to get married at Russo’s. Our guests still talk about how fabulous my wedding was. Thank you Russo’s!

They do a great job of making you feel welcome, that is for sure.
I came here for an anniversary party, and it was very well set up. Service was excellent, the time between meals was just right, the set up of the dessert buffet was very nice and professional. We all had lots of fun.
Now onto probably the most important aspect of a restaurant review, the food. The food was just outright awful. The starter course which was pasta, tasted like chef Boyardee that was burnt in a microwave by a 5 year old. The main course was so small that I was finished in literally 3 bites, and it wasn’t even tasty. I believe it was chicken Parmesan. Desserts were so bland and just really disgusting.
Overall, this place is really overrated. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re looking to have your party organized really nice and are looking to have lots of fun, while you’re treated like family, you will. But make sure you stop at McDonald’s a couple of blocks up the road before you come in. You’ll have a better meal.

Wow what a disappointment. Came here for an event my bf’s company was holding, holy outdated service and last century ideals.
Firstly, I was told my vegetarian palate was going to be accommodated. I was told I was going to get pasta, with marinara sauce, which never arrived. Good Job.
Secondly, I was served wine, after explicitly stating to my server that I am allergic to alcohol.
Thirdly, entrees were a disaster. DISASTER! Under cooked, bland and disgusting. How can you serve me a raw potato? Much like the 1^st course, nobody was eating any food.
Some Perks, I almost got stabbed in the eye by one of your waiters. Getting out of this shit hole, would have been worth it.
I was poisoned by a cookie, again after asking if there was any ingredient which would trigger my alcohol allergy. Spent the last half hour of the party, not breathing.
Also the super crowded dance floor, awkward lay out, and clueless DJ made for horrid entertainment.
Who is your event planner? FIRE THEM.

One of, if not the best, large catering hall experiences I have ever had. Be it the buffet type of the standard two or three choice sit down dinner the food and service do not usually scale up with quantity. At Russo’s on the Bay, however, both seemed to scale up beyond what many restaurants offer for personal service.
Everything across the board was really quite amazing. From the venue itself, valet parking, the food, the service, and so on, I kept being surprised as to how much attention to detail was expressed. Even some things I have actually not seen anywhere before like napkin changes at different course points during the meal.
On drink service they remembered what was ordered and kept your glass full. Though there was wine at the table, as seems to be a regular thing, they made sure your glass was full if you started using a bottle. Even with everything being taken care of there were still people around asking if there was anything else they could do.
The truly amazing experience was having a meal selection for the main course that is equal to some smaller sit down restaurant menus. Beyond this there is the crazy, over the top, entrance production available for events that make it look like you are on a TV show but all of that stuff would be meaningless without the outstanding food and service.

Words cannot describe my gratitude for the service I received by the entire staff at Russo’s on the Bay for my wedding which was a few weeks ago. I expected it to be great, and it was FAR BEYOND my expectations.
Tracey – my Maitre D, was just as much as a perfectionist as I am, so I knew from the very beginning that I was in the best hands possible. From the weeks leading up to the wedding she calmed my nerves and was more helpful than I could have ever imagined. She took care of every detail with extreme precision as if it were her own wedding day. I even met with Danielle, who created the most delicious and gorgeous wedding cake-​it was truly stunning and was the cake of my dreams.
During the reception, my strapless gown was giving me problems. Tracey suggested that we add straps on the dress with the extra lacing – she brought me in to the ladies’ room where I met Francesca (the powder room angel) who sewed straps onto my dress and saved the night! You do NOT get this service anywhere else…
Marcilo (I think he may be a Captain) attended to me and my husband all night-​we didn’t once have to look for him, he was always there. He even helped me take off my shoes at the end on the night and put slippers on my feet. We said how much we loved rainbow cookies and bam… a whole platter of rainbow cookies!
My guests have not stopped raving about how amazing both the food and service was – no one ever had a glass half empty. The food was plentiful and beyond delicious. It was the best wedding that I have ever attended, if I don’t say so myself… haha
I wish I could do it all over again and be a guest at my own wedding so I could actually eat and take it all in… but they were kind enough to pack up the food we did not get a chance to eat and we had it for lunch the next day. Mmmmmm.
You really get more than what you pay for here. They make you feel like royalty!

A Beautiful place to have a party. Everything is sparkling and tastefully decorated. They pay attention to details down to the butter which is molded with «Russo’s on the bay». The service is great and the employees are very understanding.
I came for a party here in the grand ballroom and I couldn’t have had a better time. There was a buffet style meal where we just went nuts on several selections from meats to seafood to pastas. The food is good but I wouldn’t say this is the best food in the world. The coffee is actually kind of terrible. But you don’t come to these places to eat and drink coffee…
Didn’t really matter because I spent more time dancing in the ballroom than eating. The dessert selection is so much fun. I had a cotton candy stick in one hand and chocolate fountain dipped fruit in the other. They also provided a full dessert bar and gelato and even candy/​popcorn.
I would have taken one star off for the location but this place is just too nice to deserve that. They have valet service and a coat check.
