I would like to thank the employees for coming into work yesterday. With all the flooding they were one of the few places open. There was a long line but they worked hard to meet the demand and they did a great job. Food is always good.

Its not that I hate this place, its just so true, all the bad things that the Unilocalers are writing. They lack many things and you’ll just annoy yourself if you think too hard about it. I am not a hater nor a fan, I’m just a regular citizen that really despise how they run things here.

Great burgers and shakes. Friendly staff too. If you are from out of town and don’t have WhatABurger where you live. GO get a WHAT A BURGER.

I got here late b/c I had to work through a normal lunch they were about 45 minutes from close and man the folks were RUDE! I grew up with whataburger. They scrunched the dining area down to nuthing. Even the Ice Tea was bad tasted like lack of pride. As I watched them prep for close it was very obvious to me that it was the crappiest Whataburger I had ever been to. They were ugly to who ever walked to get served. But the burger was the same outstanding quality I’ve been accustomed to. Too bad people have to be like that.

Old faithful. Worth the hike in the tunnel everytime and they are the only thing open after 3pm. You know what you’re getting at Whataburger. Double meat bacon cheeseburger with gravy.

I am so glad I can quickly walk to a Whataburger from my office. Taquitos are my favorite breakfast item, especially after a late night out! Standard food court Whataburger… friendly staff and they are not stingy with the condiments. Woo hoo!

Today 04−04−13 I was in the drive thru lane which was not moving for about 5 minutes or more. So I went inside to place my order, the female behind the counter asked me what was wrong. I started to tell that the line was not moving and I had come in to place the order, that is when the female working the window said to me that she had not seen me use the window. I then stated that was correct because the line was not moving, so I came inside to place my order. First she had not be part in the conversation, second the manager was standing right there and did nothing to take care of the customer. The window person kept telling me she never saw me at the window… only because I was never at the window, but she would not stop talking long enough to listen to what I was saying. Your manager just kept standing there not doing anything… at that stage of the game I just walked out. What was so hard to understand? I really wonder if this complaint will go anywhere

I’m countering Daniel’s review. It’s really not so bad! The numbering system with them serving your food and condiments works pretty well. Yeaaah, ok, so the lines are very long, but they move fast –like at Subway and Treebeards. Maybe I can shed some light on the wait times? The common fast food joints are disappearing around downtown. You got Chik-fil-a, a few McDonald’s scattered around and Whataburger –which is right off Main St, devoid of homeless interactions and is nearly perfectly centered in downtown.(Shush. Wendy’s is not considered. I hate the downtown Wendy’s.) The occasional longing for Arby’s, Taco Bell and Long John Silver’s cannot be fulfilled during the work week. My only problem with this Whataburger is trying to find a place to sit. I might start bringing my own chair and camp around the escalator. I think if enough people do this then somebody’s bound to put out some more chairs and tables. Fuddrucker’s had the right idea with their escalator space.

Overall I really like whataburger. It’s one of my favorite hamburger fast food joints. The whataburger in the tunnel is one of the best. The people who are taking the order are so nice and friendly. Lately I’ve been getting their potato egg and cheese taquito. They are usually piping hot and taste delicious. As stated in other reviews, there is a person that comes around after you receive your food to hand out napkins and condiments, which is kinda nice. I ordered a chicken sandwich recently and stated that I didn’t want mayo on it. The cashier asked me if i wanted something else on it and went through the list of items that could be added. The customer service here is great!

I saw these everywhere in Texas so I had to stop by one. The burgers here reminded me of the burgers from Wendy’s. It does cost more than Wendy’s but it’s double the size. The burger, fries and drink were all«super sized». I like the fact that they come around to check up on you and get refills for you. Not bad for a fast food joint.

Whataburger: I wuv you. There I said it all cute-like so nobody can get mad at what I am about to say. And the likelihood of the manager of this franchise threatening to sue me has been as well-neutralized as possible. I really, really hate this location. It is always packed. The line snakes out way past the edge of the tables. I am not a patient person. I do not like waiting for my food. Especially when it is a big juicy burger. And fries. And soda! I am getting hungry just thinking about what this tastes like from other Whataburgers late at night after the bars. Delicious. But this place does not work as a realistic option unless I send a law clerk/intern whatever-we-are-supposed-to-call-the-children to wait in line for me — but even then, I think it would be quicker if I had him drive to the one on Shepherd and drive back than having him wait in line down there — but then the food would get cold on the drive back, meanwhile if you actually had six hours to kill to wait in line in the tunnels, your food at least comes out hot and fresh and he would run it back up to the office like a good boy, rather than moseying like in Red Dead Revolver. If you come here at an off time the line is less crazy but even when they are about to shut down there is a line. Meanwhile at Camille’s you can just walk on in. Same at Poblano, I waited for a table once since I really needed a burrito flavored kiss that day. Even the cookie stand never has a line. Everyone loves Whataburger. That is why the line is so long. And this is the best unhealthy meal you can find downtown — which is why I want it all the time, especially when I am just trying to not fit into my suit any more by the looks of it. Waiting long periods of time for food: no me gusta.

I had a number 1 from Whataburger! It was the Whataburger, fries, and a huge diet coke. I was surprised by the size of the all the food. It was the equivalent size of supersize me from McDonalds. I ate all the food, and I was so happy and full. I will probably eat Whataburger again in a month. I think its great they are open 24 hours a day. –Robert :)

OK, Whataburger… Texas institution and home of artery clogging nummy burgers. I really have always been a fan of this chain. That being said, different locations are better than others. I go to this location, which is in the Downtown Tunnel system underneath Reliant, because it’s close to my work and it’s a place we can all agree on. Plus, it’s Whataburger. Whataburger is famous for its fresh made-to-order burgers. They also have breakfast. The chicken sandwiches are pretty good too. My actual favorite sandwich is the Whatachicken. It’s a breaded chicken breast on whole wheat. I get mine with jalapenos. I like Whataburger because it’s a chain that offers jalapenos. Anyway, the burgers are good and generally juicy. The fries are good as any McChain. If you’re hungry and/or thirsty, Whata-size your meal for more fries and/or drinks. The thing that gives this location 4 stars is the crew. Our food is delivered FAST, which is good since we are on lunch break. It’s always correct. The ladies at the register are friendly and they take the orders properly so there are no screw ups in the kitchen. Delivery to the table is fast and courteous as well. The nice thing is they even have a lady going round with the condiment tray checking to make sure you have everything you need and she will top off your drink for you if you are getting parched. Fabulous service for a walk up fast food joint in the tunnels. The only reason I’m not giving them a 5 star rating is that the amount of seating is paltry and getting in and out of the seating can be a challenge when the place is stuffed full of wolfishly hungry people waiting for their carryout or trolling for a place to sit. In summation, What-a-burger!
