My name is Antonio Cadena. This is my very first time dining at a waffle house and man, I must say I enjoyed my dinner! Our server Margaret, was extremely pleasant and attentive. Extremely respectful. I want to say they have an amazing staff. Oh and wait, let me tell you… the guy who cooked my food was hot! Love you guys!

Came in on a late Saturday night and had a craving for their hash browns and a patty melt, paid for the meal to go, and when I get home I open the bag to find out it’s a classic breakfast with grits. I cannot describe how disappointed I was to find what I got! so we call them to explain what happened and that it was just too long of a drive to go back and return the food. The manager or server that spoke to us(Angelle) told us he would cancel the charge, I believed him and it made me feel better about it, but a week later, I see the charge had gone through. I’m not gonna try to get my money back. It was only $ 14, not worth the hassle. But it is worth a bad review. Next time I’ll go to ihop. Maybe they can handle more than 5 customers in their diner.

I think I found heaven here! There’s a waffle house near where I live but they are terrible so I decided to come to this location and I definitely made the right choice. The wait was less than 15 minutes, the food was hot, and the server was friendly. 10s across the board !

I just left Waffle House on i10/hwy 6 wow, I left Moes and decided to eat breakfast. I decided to pass up the restaurants on fry and mason because, I had always had a grand experience at the Waffle House on I10 and hwy6. It took me 3 try’s to get to this establishment because it. Was hard to see the turn in but, I finally made it. yay! I was greeted by very friendly waitress however, the place had a terrible vibe. The cooks were treating the waitresses badly. I couldn’t believe they were talking so down to these women. The service was excellent but, I could feel the bad vibes from the cooks. I felt so badly for the waitresses that, I didn’t enjoy my meal. The food was cooked well, I had no complaint there. I just didn’t enjoy the hard core atmosphere and felt that the ladies serving me were being abused so, they weren’t Able to give me the atmosphere that I had been accustomed to receiving from this restaurant. My Second cup of coffee was cold because, the burner must have been out so, the waitress had to listen to several complaints from customers about cold coffee. Poor girl had to poor out the coffee in the pot and cook a fresh batch in order to give a hot pot of coffee. I don’t normally complain about any establishment but, I really felt bad for the ladies being treated badly by the cooks… maybe they were tired. No excuse, next time I will be eating closer to home with a better atmosphere. It’s too bad because, that place used to be really fun to eat at after a nite of fun. I really hope that you speak to your cooks on proper treatment of the staff. Sincerely, Diana

They are pretty quick at this location. I have called in and stopped in to order to go. It’s near my office so I stop for breakfast periodically. This time a tried a breakfast sandwich with bacon, eggs, and cheese. And of course, I like my hash browns smothered and covered. Oh yeah!

Waffle House serves great breakfast. Cheesy egg plate was delicious. Super simple but done right. Eggs were not overdone. Pecan waffles were yummy. Great service.

I was visiting the area(for 9 days) and was staying across the street and decided to check it out on the first day. The place is not easy to get into. Only one entrance off hwy 6. But the service is friendly and inviting from the moment you walk in. The breakfast was quick, yummy and a great bang-for-the-buck. Gives you a homely and inviting feeling. Also, their cheeseburgers are great. Much better than those fast food joints.

I’ve done a lot of waffle houses. This one is hands down one of the best. Well staffed very fast service and the food is always on point. I love when there’s a greeter, a person that’s on the floor cleaning up, three cooks, one on waffles and about another 5 working the tables. Excellent job.

Holy crap was our sever cute as hell… with that southern accent… YIKES! The service is very fast. This places are usually crowded but we got right in and out and back on the road… just what we were looking for… QUICKEATS! The waffles are my jam! The large order of hash browns are a meal by itself. Get it with the onions! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for some great breakfast. I’m not joking, Waffle House was off every exit from Texas to Florida… so if you miss it, don’t turn around, just keep driving!

We went into Waffle House this Saturday afternoon for lunch. It’s always somewhat loud in there as the kitchen is basically next to the seating which is okay except for today. Shortly after ordering our food the employees started arguing about something very trivial that escalated much further than it should have. The manager/supervisor attempted to get it under control but was unsuccessful and possibly even fueled the fire in my opinion. We let the situation go on for a good 5 minutes or so hoping they would be able to compose themselves. This was not the case, the situation quickly turned to chaos which is not exactly what we had planned for lunch with our family(including a 7 year old and 6 month old.) We packed up the kids and ended up having a quiet and uneventful lunch at a Subway nearby which, by the way, was pretty good.

This place is really hard to get to and may take some perseverance on a late tispy night. Seriously made 3 loops around hwy6/I-10W, and the only way we found was through park drive from the north side of waffle house. Where are the entrances?! In my opinion, waffle house is greater than denny’s/i-hop. Faster too. Now here’s the ultimate meal: Cheese n eggs — sometimes I ask for 3 eggs Raisin Cinnamon toast with apple butter Upgrade your hash browns all the way(comes with gravy, chilli, onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, mushrooms) Order a side of bacon I love breakfast food, so this may be biased — Nothing can beat this meal after a late night of drinking.

It was like 1am when I went. I ordered this super amazingly delicious cheesy hash brown. I swear it melted in my mouth! I’ve only been here once but id definitely make the drive back if I’m just ever in the mood for it. The waffles on the other hand, aren’t all that. I’m not a huge fan of soggy waffles!

My original review still stands: See it below. It has become my favorite Waffle House in Houston. Why? The servers… they have been the same nice ladies for a couple years. Don’t forget, you have to get into the parking lot going south on Hiway 6. Pull into the lot BEFORE you get to the feeder or you have to go around the block again. I have done that a couple times. Original review: This one is more laid back and small town café-ish. I meet my buddy Traci here for breakfast about once a month. We usually get there around 9 or 9:30 so we miss much of the real early morning rush. We’ve rarely had to wait for a table. The service is very friendly, attentive and like what you believe Mel’s Diner was really like. The food is basic Waffle House goodness. Always get their grits and raisin toast… because they make you feel warm and happy. Prices are great! You can’t beat $ 8 for the All Star breakfast — 2 eggs, choice of meat, waffle, grits or hashbrowns and toast. I’m full just writing about it. And the hashbrown options — Lord the hashbrown options. For those unfamiliar with Waffle House terminology, scattered means spread out on the flat griddle and cooked on both sides, instead of cooked in a ring and similar to a cake. Light refers to the degree of doneness, meaning not too browned. Smothered adds chopped onions to the potatoes. Peppered adds sliced jalapenos, and topped means covered with chili. You can also get them diced, which means with chopped tomato; chunked, diced ham; capped is with mushrooms and covered means with a slice of cheese over the top. No, you won’t find tables here for parties more than 4 or 5 if you are tiny. I don’t ever remember hearing techno music older than 1970 over the speakers. Now go get a waffle and some hashbrowns.

Well, it is Waffle House so the food is a pretty known constant. My reasoning for the one star is that the waitress brought my food to the wrong table. And then after the customer complained actually tried to bring me the plate that had been at his table, and yes, he had picked at it with his fork and knife. WOW. Just wow. Not sure how anyone could do this in the food industry.

What can I say? I’m a Waffle-House lover. Ever since they took away the Toddle House in Copperfield so many years ago, this place has been the suitable replacement for me, for nearly 20 years. I always order the same thing… waffle well done, 2 eggs over medium, 2 sausage, grits, toast, coffee and water. Delicious breakfast food for any time of day. I’ve never ordered the lunch stuff, but that’s okay, plenty of other lunch places. If you want breakfast done right, forget Denny’s or IHOP, this is the place to get a good scattering of breakfast options and waffles that don’t taste like wet cardboard. Okay so maybe the place is kind of dirty or busy at times. Comedians have described it as a «gas station bathroom that serves waffles»…maybe so, but this is a good example of stereotypical American diner service in the days before the internet. Back when being served food in conditions not quite to your liking was just part of the open road experience. I don’t think they let you smoke in there anymore, but back in the 90’s you could. The place was always kind of smoky. But those days are dying across the country. I mean if you really have to read a review to make a choice on whether or not to eat at Waffle House, don’t get your hopes up too high. It’s not something a person coming to this country for the first time would appreciate. This is classic American dining at its finest and simplest. A place that has remained relatively unchanged since the 1970’s. But they make some damn fine breakfast.

When I arrived to eat breakfast, it was filthy and it smelled like a dirty wet mop or something. There were about four other people eating; however I had to search a bit for a place to sit as most all of the tables had yet to be bussed. I decided to leave because I was afraid of the cleanliness of the kitchen after seeing the dinning area in the state that it was in. There is a serious lack of leadership at this restaurant.

Waffle House Fry Road– Katy Tx. First off the air conditioning is obviously set to the comfort level of the staff not the customer. Sitting at a table its unbearably cold due to the constantly running ac unit. Everyone seems oblivious to this. My iced tea was undrinkable and returned but no bottled water option available. My order way incorrect and never fully completed properly. On a positive note a rep from the company was there and trying hard to make it right. In the end we were comped but buyer beware

There’s a reason why this particular Waffle House is currently a 4 stars establishment. It’s basically down to the service, service, service. I have pretty much trekked to various Waffle Houses in the greater Houston area and in other states, the food has been very consistently decent. But sometimes it’s hard to get the good service between the hours of 2:00AM to 6:00AM but this Waffle House delivered on that. I met up with a friend for some very late night /early morning chat and breakfast. The server was very attentive as she actually checked on us and the other table to refill our water and coffee. I do have to say that for some reason, this particular Waffle House is much, much colder than the other ones. But as soon as I got my cup of Joe, my body temperature slowly adjusted to the tundra weather that’s inside the restaurant. The food did come out in good time and there wasn’t anything off or missing. But again, like any other Waffle House, it’s really hard for them to mess up on the food. I would certainly come back to this Waffle House if I was ever on this side of the town and needed some greasy breakfast food for any reason.

Two words: PECANWAFFLES. So. Dang. Good. I’m sure their special recipe is unhealthy, but I don’t give a crap when it comes to their waffles. They’re crisp, rich, and satisfying. You can’t help but to savor every bite with their signature maple syrup. Just trust me and try one out for yourself. You will not be disappointed. So my friends and I noticed their dollar menu. Since when did WH jump on the fast food bargain bandwagon? Anyway, I decided to try their $ 1 angus burger just for kicks. Call me a sucker because it was a total waste! You get a 4 bite burger loaded with raw onions and one whopping pickle slice. Yay. If you want lettuce and tomatoes, you have to pay an extra dollar. The meat patty is dry and the bun is overly toasted. Don’t waste your time. Avoid the bargain menu and stick to their regular menu items like their signature hash browns. They can be customized just the way you like it. Smothered, covered, diced, chunked, capped, topped or «all the way». These are the special names given to the ingredients you can add to your hash browns like onions, cheese, mushrooms, etc. Whatever you add, the hash always comes out perfectly crisp, tasty, and golden. It’s grease-tastic. Don’t expect the joint to be immaculate because its not. Just focus on the grub because it’s totally worth it. Waffle House definitely trumps Denny’s and IHOP!

Waffle House will always have a special place in my heart. When I moved back to California for a few years, just the mentioning of «Waffle House» brought sparkly butterfly flashbacks of late-night shenanigans and craving satiations. That said, when I was finally able to come back after a year of absence, I was pretty stoked. Hubbs, two friends and I had just finished a round of whacking balls at Top Golf and decided to eat a light lunch. Since it was close by, we decided to head over. This location isn’t very different than the others; same bar and booth layout and pretty packed. We had to wait a little while before snagging an empty table, and before long, our friendly waitress took our order. This was the first time I had gotten the pecan waffle. First, though, I must say that they have perfected the diner waffle. Perfectly cooked, outside not too crispy, batter perfectly sweet, making you look forward to the next bite. Add pecans, and you definitely have a winner. You don’t even need to add butter(or rather, ‘buttery spread’) or syrup, but I did anyway, because waffles or pancakes without butter and syrup just feels naked to me. I also got hashbrowns with mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, grilled onions and cheese. Meh. The hashbrowns were warmed through enough to make the cheese melt, but the tomatoes seemed more raw than grilled, making the hashbrowns a little watery. And there wasn’t a nice crunchy crust on the top like I was hoping. Luci S. got the burger from the Dollar menu. We were so intrigued that we had to get it. Just listen to me: don’t get it. I know it’s only a dollar. It’s gross. The bread was toasted and too dry, and the patty was really small and dried out… no moisture and little flavor. It also included a bunch of chopped onions and *one* pickle. Hahaha. Honestly I think a McDouble tastes better and it’s the same price. Anyway, even though the experience was pretty mediocre, WH will always create a nostalgic attachment to make me come back time and time again. I mean, the waffles alone will always have my heart! If you’ve never gone to any WH, give it a try. It’s delicious diner food that won’t break the bank!
