Voss Nails

The only place my whole family go to for our mani/​pedi needs. Tina is the best! She is able to turn my hideous beastly like toes into something somewhat ladylike material. I swear she is a magician. My two aunts live like 3 hours away in Victoria and would come here every time they are in town. I recommend you call and make an appointment beforehand because she gets pretty booked.

The guy who did my pedicure literally ripped my pinky toe nail clean off while just stripping the shallac off of my toes instead of taking it off properly; The guy new what he did, so he tried to pacify me & put my foot back in the water! It burned and was so painful but I guess the shock made my toe swell so I couldn’t really tell what happened until he PAINTED MY SKIN on my pinky toe & I realized he was trying to cover up what he did– and then they literally charged me the full price for my pedicure. Oh and my nails were not hat great– I could have painted my right hand better with my left hand…

? They’re very unpredictable. It’s like a game of gambling. One day you get your nails done very well and the next time you get a badly badly done job. I stopped here only for convenience and because I have not established relationship with another nail salon. They also don’t have a good customer service. They will barely speak to you and do your nails and walk away. I will go back only cuz I have not established myself with another nail salon but overall I will leave them soon.

I go here because they do a pretty okay job for the price but I guess you really do get what you pay for. I get my acrylics and continuously pay money for my nails to start breaking without force or touching them in a week. Wouldn’t advise anyone else to go there.

Do not get pedicures here!
I do think acrylics are okay here, sometimes it’s a nice shape, sometimes it’s not.
The last times I’ve gone, they have cut my fingernails without asking me and cut my skin under the nail. It was the most intense pain ever. They did that while I had acrylics on and they soaked my nails in acetone right after and it really burned.
The reason I said not to get pedicures here is because they did not sterilize their tools last time I went and I ended up getting onycholysis (fungal infection where nail starts separating from the nail bed). I went to the nail shop again to get a gel refill on my feet and it was in its early stages so the nail technician could have warned me about it but she still did gel over the infection. I am so disappointed and I’m still getting treatments for it.
Please choose wisely when going in a nail salon. I just wonder how many other women developed onycholysis from this place as well.

1^st time great experience chow did my nails that same night my nail broke !!! Came in the next day 15 min before closing they refuse to fix my nail and asked me to return tomorrow.
My friend also had her nails done here her polish started fading from matte pink to white!
Terrible customer service.

I usually come here and they usually do ok. one time will be PERFECT, the next time a different woman will do my nails and butcher the shape, but THIS TIME. I went literally TODAY, and decided to try something different. I typically do acrylic tips semi pointed square in shape, then fill-​ins every 2 weeks. & with THAT being said, you can only imagine how long my nails had grown. So I go to soak them. which it takes 20 min to get somebody to fill the bowl with acetone. And I figured my nails are at a length where I would feel confident doing a gel/​shellac. So. I pick my color.& it looks great. UNTIL my thumb starts peeling. then my middle finger. & now the thumb on my other hand is forming an air pocket below. & Ive been to school… and back, no extracurricular activities. nothing. ON TOP OF THAT, I told the women DO NOT CUT OR FILE MY NAILS DOWN. but she filed them down anyway so I had to yank my hand away and say NO WITH EYE CONTACT!

for this experience and my brows.
I’m pissed, so tomorrow if I have time before school I’m turning it up a few notches.
The moral of the story is. I should have stuck to what I KNOW they can do and coach them through shaping. SMH

You get what you pay for. Cheap low quality manicure I could have done better myself at home… There was nail polish all over my nails after I left. I do not recommend and will not be going back

Good price for mani and pedi! The girls are pretty nice, but they don’t speak english very well, so try to be simple! I usually get a leg and arm free massage when I do my mani & ped! I never make an appointment and they always received me well there. Never waited more then 10 min!

This is my place to go for my nails! :)
I get shellac on my hands and a regular pedi every time I go, and I love it.
The ladies are always friendly and professional.
Tina and the manager are mainly the only ones I prefer going to, although the others are good too, they just take a little longer.
You should definitely try this place. You won’t be disappointed!

Super friendly and professional ladies! Great service that match their prices. Ask for Amy, she is so patient. Everything around the shop looks super clean.
It is almost always packed so if you’re in a hurry I would suggest you call ahead. You will wait, but that doesn’t meant you won’t get good service;)

I’ve *never* had a bad reaction to eyebrow wax until I came here. The next day my entire forehead and brow area started breaking out in the most disgusting horrible acne I’ve *ever* had in my LIFE!
I don’t know if their oil was old or their wax was dirty or what… but I will never return.

I just moved here to Texas in May, and found Voss Nails through Unilocal.Per one of the reviews I went to Tina. And made sure to call ahead of time… Because she actually really is busy most of the time. This shop is ALWAYS clean and I’m a regular between mail fill in’s and pedicures.
I’ve only been to Tina, and Chow for my nails. Regardless of which lady that takes care of me on my visit, I walk out feeling like a new woman! Chow especially listens to what you want as far as style/​shape. But both ladies always do their best to make sure their clients leave happy. Albeit, coming from Los Angeles, I’m not accustomed to the higher prices for nails and pedicures, but it’s worth EVERY penny at Voss Nails. All of the ladies are friendly, and willing to get you into a chair quickly. I must say, I’m extremely happy at Voss Nails and with the service I receive from them. :)

You get what you pay for… basic pedicure was just that. The tool used to push back my cuticles was taken from a community cup of brushes and other items. The cuticle trimmers did come out of a plastic bag normally used for sanitized tools so I’m not trying to accuse them of being unsanitary but this isn’t the cleanest place. The ladies were super nice though and accommodating. If you’re looking for a basic pedicure with no frills… look no further.

They are always very friendly and I always get great and prompt service. They don’t mind my super ticklish feet either. It’s clean and amazingly well priced far below usual Galleria-​area salons. It’s basic, don’t expect too many frills, just a nice clean service. Don’t go in expecting alot of communication – they’re Asian and don’t speak much English – but if you expect anything else for $ 25 then you’re out of your mind anyway. The only issue I have is that they seem to ‘stretch’ the polish by watering it down – best advised to bring your own.

Very pleasant and funny nail techs! They catered to me and evn though I was in a hurry… they did a great job on my nails and feet! Lee is the guy who pampered me! This is my new place! They even translated to me what they were discussing… cool!

Ask for Tina she is the only one I trust for acrylics (I’ve been going to her since I was in high school! Over 10 years+) and a full set is only $ 25!!! Can’t beat that for galleria area, she’s very sweet but she’s busy so call ahead of time!!!

Pretty selection of nail polish, but poor service and didn’t do a good job. Had never been so upset.

I had heard about this place from a friend and was excited to try it out. I went the first time and the experience was nothing to complain about, however, the second was terrible. If you are looking for quality, this definitely is not your place. In addition if the line gets long behind you, forget getting a decent manicure. The ladies get flustered and their work is a reflection of that. On top of all that when I went to pay the price was suddenly higher than what they had advertised because of my «choice of brand for color»…funny because they only offered me one brand and the last time I was in this was not the case. My opinion — they thought I was a customer they could take advantage of. This time I just paid to get out of there, but I will not be returning again.

We came here with my mother for some mother daughter time. Upon our arrival they told is it would be a 10 minute wait which was actually really accurate. The pedicures were amazing (they even put up with my overly ticklish feet). After that I had acrylics put on which came out amazing. The quality is so good and Kimberly did it so quickly! I’ve never had such a quick manicure! The icing on the cake was how reasonable the prices were, so I will definitely be paying them another visit!
