I have eaten here several times and get the lunch special with the Tilapia, shrimp, and crawfish. I can truthfully say that every meal has been great, with the food being fresh and tasty. I can get out with the tip for a hair over $ 10. Good food and decent prices keep me coming back.

What happened??? We used to frequent this place 2X weekly during crawfish season for the last 2 – 3 years. It seems they forgot how to cook them this year. Not purged and served in water with a few random spices. We didn’t eat them(yucky), sent them back, ordered something else(mediocre), and we were still charged for everything with a tip included. Restaurant used to be busy and fun, but is now empty at 7 pm on a Friday. Not good.

This is a pretty neat hole in the wall that I always pass by on my way home but never had a chance to stop in. They have a pretty wide variety of options to eat, but I think they’re known for their seafood, hence the name. I got the USA seafood platter which seemed like the best option for a first try because it provides you with a bit of everything. Everything on the plate was fried, but the batter was pretty good. I really appreciate the fact that it wasn’t too salty and the food was fresh and crisp. The plate came with a tilapia fillet, fried oysters, fried shrimp, a whole stuffed crab, fried rice, and fries. There was quite a bit of food for a very reasonable price. The whole plate was about $ 15. The other items on the menu was a bit cheaper. They also had other options like pastas and stuff, but I’m not really sure if that would be good or not. It seemed like they also had good chips and salsa but I didn’t get a chance to try it because I ordered my food Togo. The downside of this place is that the parking lot is a bit small, and service can be lacking. I read some of the other reviews that complained about the service, and while I can see where they came from, my servers were cordial and I didn’t have to wait too long to get my food. I wasn’t greeted at the door and wasn’t really sure if I was just supposed to sit down, or wait. They place was open, and had a very sports bar feel to it. A lot of the people there seemed to be there to grab drinks and beers and watch the games. I think the food is worth it, but I think I’m gonna stick to the Togo and enjoy it at home.

Ok. I really hate to do this, because the food is awsome. But the service is the worst I have ever had. It’s unfortunate but even if the food is good it doesn’t matter if you can’t seem to get any of it. Every single order I’ve ever made to go has been messed up in some way or other. Not by the cook, But by the ladies who are the servers. They cannot seem to get everything together in the bag. Every time we go we have to check and double check because they have forgotten at least two items on each trip. So very frustrating. Unfortunately I don’t think I will ever be back. It’s just too much trouble.

So long story short, I’m a sucker for raw oysters and when I saw them on the menu here I just had to have some. It turned out to be a huge mistake as my mom and I got horrible food poisoning not long after(she had the oysters as well). It lasted for two miserable days and even ginger ale, saltines and Netflix couldn’t bring me any comfort. I’m a little afraid of oysters from this experience and definitely won’t be going back =(

It was decent as far as dives go I mean it’s not extravagant pretty much basic plating. Well I go to a seafood place and I order steak .don’t judge me But the service is prompt and food came out fairly reasonable time frame.

I didn’t know anything about this place and didn’t look up any reviews before going in so let’s just say, I was the only of my kind. We ordered a family plater and a quesadilla for the boy. At first they wouldn’t accept my deal because I did not print it out but after I asked many times and pretty much insisted they take, they did. Besides it was only $ 5. Once our food arrived, something told me to check my order and good thing because I was missing a whole pan of fried fish/shrimp. Needless to say, the food was not to good and the probability of us returning on a Sunday night(Latino karaōke night) is slim… lol.

I love the food and the service. It’s always clean, served well, and the staff is friendly, one of my favorite places to eat. LOVE the gumbo!

We popped in here yesterday for dinner. My shrimp tacos & fried rice were great. If you like Mambo & Captain Benny’s, you will like this place. I really like the full bar & flat-screen TVs for sports events… bonus!

We went here for the second time and again, I had the incredible chipotle shrimp. One of my favorite dishes anywhere. Nice plump shrimp sauteed with onions and green peppers in a thin but flavorful chipotle sauce. Don’t know what is going on with their beans, though. Weird, limey taste to them. Actually couldn’t eat them last time I was there so I had to try them again. The first time they had so much lime or lemon flavor that I thought they must be trying to cover up bad beans but they still had a similar flavor. Not too good. Spouse has had fried oysters and blackened snapper filet and both were fine but nothing special. I’ll keep going back for the chipotle shrimp even if I never try anything else. The shocker was when we walked in, the music was so loud, it was totally overwhelming. Thought it was canned music but when we looked over, it was karoke and the girl who was singing was REALLYGOOD! Kind of made up for the way too high volume. The other great thing about this place is the ancho salsa. Not like anything I’ve had anywhere else. Good stuff. I will have to try some other dishes. Waitstaff very nice.

Well, this place will probably not pull you in from the streets. The décor would probably have you running to your cars, but don’t let that fool you. This place was decent, I wouldn’t say awesome or the best in town. I still can’t figure out what it was. Pretty good ceviche… yes. Patron lighting up two tables down… no. Atmosphere… no. Fairly priced… yes. So confused…
