Loved the kolaches. I had ranchero chicken, potato egg and cheese, and sausage egg and cheese. I also got 3 cake donuts and they were all very delicious. Small store but woman was very nice.

Second visit and the kaloches are delicious. Try the egg, cheese and sausage and the egg, cheese and bacon kaolaches. If you are feeling cold, warm yourself up with their egg cheese ranchero kaloche, there are jalapeño slices in this one. The bread us soft and the inside is full. A bit disappointed with the breakfast croissant, the croissant didn’t have the buttery flakiness that I love. Haven’t tried their coffee nor the donuts so will be back again and again and again…

Every semi weekly meetings. We have uptown kolaches & doughnuts in return of being there. Doughnuts are ok. nothing soft like shipleys or yummy like Krispy Kreme. The kolaches. I tried all 3 flavors that we only order. Sausage & cheese, jalapeño sausage & cheese, ham & cheese. Sometimes the jalapeños are pretty oh so hot! The sausage & cheese have its days. As for the dough it’s lot nicer than shipleys. Lately shipleys kolache’s dough is more like a dinner roll texture to me. it’s like a hot dog. The ham & cheese is a round one. It’s diced chunks of ham with white American or Swiss? I can’t really tell. They do stuff lots of ham in the bun. so I have to pick them out. It gets quite salty. If it wasn’t free, I don’t think I would be eating at uptown.

In one of the many random shopping center strips as you drive down Westheimer, this place has great service and delicious kolaches. My favorite is their breakfast kolaches(egg cheese and bacon) — fresh bread, lots of filling. Their glazed donuts still don’t beat Shipley’s, but they sure have some dang good Apple Fritters. They’re thin and not overly dough-y, which most places make and it takes forever to get to some apple. This one has a crunchy exterior and has apple in every bite.

This morning was my 1st visit to Uptown Kolaches, I must say I was very impressed. I LOVE Kolaches and I’m very picky when it comes to them… I will continue to be a customer!

Today was my second visit in a row to Uptown Kolaches & Donuts. I really can’t believe i’ve missed out on these yummy breakfast goods for so long! The kolaches are larger than those you would buy from KF, and they definitely taste better! The bacon, egg & cheese kolache is amazing! Super soft eggs blanketed with melted cheese and actual CRISPY bacon! Their donuts are pillowy and light. The BEST thing about this place, are their prices! I’m not sure how they’re profiting with their prices being so low, but I purchased a bottle of grape juice, a pink sprinkle donut :), a bacon, egg & cheese kolache, and a sausage & jalepeno kolache for $ 4.99. What a steal! The gentleman in line behind me got a large ham & cheese croissant for $ 1.70. I will be back! The quality of their food is excellent, they don’t overcharge, and the staff is friendly and welcoming!

I really, really, really want this place to make it! Their kolaches are like oversize, edible pillows of tasty goodness, and they totally blow the competition away! Seriously, just one is a meal in itself, especially if you go with the sausage, egg and cheese variety which incorporates chopped link sausage rather than the crumbled kind. SO good! I grabbed a dozen(at about $ 15) on the way into work not long ago and my coworkers absolutely loved them. Everyone was dying to know where they came from. They also have a decent assortment of donuts and pastries if that’s more your thing.(Personally, I’m holding out for the grand reopening of a certain national chain to indulge that craving, but that’s another review…)
