I usually stop in at the Egg and I, before going shooting at Boyerts Gun Range. The food is ok, but a little pricey. I have had the ½ of reuben sandwich with the chicken soup, the biscuits and gravy and the eggs, hash browns and toast. All were ok, the staff is friendly and I will go there again

The interior of this restaurant makes you feel at home as soon as you step inside. This is my first time coming here and I know I will be back for sure. They primarily serve breakfast but they have a few lunch items on the menu. The waitress was very friendly and brought a feeling of southern hospitality. Her name is Patricia and was being very attentive. It’s absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to everyone!

I waited for 15 minutes before anyone came to even asked me if I want to coffee or water. There were three tables in the house when I arrived. I asked my hostess to seat me away from everyone so I can enjoy a cup of coffee alone. She tried to tell me I couldn’t sit there but the waiter assured me it would be fine. But still no one ever came to give me water or take my order. Finally the manager came over and apologized and asked to help me but by then I was so irritated that I was not about to spend my money on overpriced breakfast much less a Cup of coffee. Sad because I can walk to this restaurant but have not been there in a while because the food quality went down after opening and the service has always been bad. I left and will not return.

After reading reviews on here and going to check this place out with my girlfriend, i feel sad for some of you who left a horrible review because we had a great time. A bit pricey and out of the way, but a pretty neat dining experience for breakfast. Go early as they are crowded on the weekend. This isn’t a fast food breakfast, its a lot more. Recommended for special occasions. If you want a huge serving for not a lot,…im sure there’s a Deny’s or IHOP around somewhere.

I had the huevos rancheros. I ordered the eggs over medium, they were very undercooked, over easy at best. They were served on a stale, store-bought tortilla and a ketchupy salsa. The potatoes were cold. All-in-all, a very unsatisfactory breakfast. It was also very expensive, considering the poor quality. The meal was $ 10, and the coffee was $ 2.69! Never again! Breakfast is a hard meal to screw up, but somehow they managed. There are plenty of other choiced, especially for Tex-Mex in Houston!

This is an average the egg and I. I was not satisfied with the taste of the food. I have had much better at other locations… But the service is better here.

My girlfriend and I stopped by this morning for breakfast. She ordered the Patriot Waffle(waffle topped with raspberries and blue berries). When it came out, she ate a few bites of the waffle and went to eat a raspberry when it crumbled on her waffle. It was rotten and moldy on the inside. After checking more, most of them were rotten. We notified our server, he took it away and told his manager. 20 minutes later the manager brings out another waffle buried under powdered sugar and assured us she checked every berry herself. After a inspecting just one berry, it too was moldy. She then tried to tell us raspberries aren’t in season,(a lie) and she argued with my girlfriend before finally taking the waffle off of our bill. We will not be back to this, or any other location.

I usually take my family to egg n I as a step up from Denny’s and ihop, but this location for egg n I changed my opinion completely. Worst service, smells bad, dirty. Place has completely changed since it first opened. Never going back. Waited for 30 minutes and no service so we walked out. Eating at crescent city beignets for breakfast now. Right down the street and a million times better. 6383 westheimer.

(From a visit a few days ago) If I could give 0 stars, I would! Please don’t waste your time here. I was about 3 miles away in the area with my mom for her hair appt. A few of the other ladies & I were getting hungry so I was volunteered(–__-) to go fetch food. They settled on this spot so I gathered orders & money, tried to call in the to-go order. Not 1, not 2, not 3 but FOUR times I called — the phone either rang continuously OR someone would pick up and hang up! By then, Im pissed and have no desire to eat there but the other ladies kinda insisted so I just headed there. Get there about 20 mins later(took my time). Get there and theres a hostess with a THICK accent that can barely speak English. She has the hardest time taking my very simple orders. She didnt know anything, didnt ask for help nor did anyone(Manager) try to offer help, so I, the customer, suffered. However, after NINEMINUTES, the orders are in and paid for. So I wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. A total of 43 minutes — for 6 pancakes, 4 scrambled eggs, grits, a fruit cup, and coffee total! Thats it! I was obviously HEATED. Finally, the order comes up front. Stuff is missing, things are wrong. *Internal Screams* I ask her and the Mgr. to help me inspect and rectify OR give me my money back. After watching them go back and forth on the POS system to the kitchen and back — I had OFFICIALLY lost all confidence in this breakfast. They finally brought out add’l food. They bagged the orders separately(like I initially asked.) and I just took off. Get back to the salon — no cutlery, no condiments, and a HAIR on the rim of the coffee when the lid was peeled back. Thank goodness I didn’t tip. I think I would have lost my religion. With all of that said — DO. NOT. COME. HERE. Its a horrible location. Terrible service and overpriced for sub-par food.

Unremarkable. That’s how I best describe this food. Typical greasy spoon eggs, bland potatoes with a serving of bitter coffee in the side. I won’t be back. If I’m real hungryI can tolerate ill prepared food, but not when you charge premium prices for it.

I have never been here before. This is my first time trying it and the food is awesome the best part of it is the English Muffin I had to order me another one. I Ordered 3 eggs bacon and a side of fruit with the English muffin. I am literally giving it a 5 star because of the English Muffin. Taste perfect . The service is pretty friendly, not an enthusiastic crew but they were really nice and attentive. So for that I’ll give it a 5 star. Would love to come back again. It’s better than IHOP.

If I could give this zero stars I would. This was such a ghetto experience. Here is my review sent to their corporate site: This was my first time going to this restaurant. When I arrived with my guest the hostess said«How can I help you?» Obviously I am there to eat and so asked for a table for two. The woman responded begrudgingly«Come On!» I went to the restroom but my guest was still at the table. I came back and he went to restroom. We waited for our server and the hostess came by and asked if were«okay». We said no and she went to find a waiter because our drink order had not been taken. We decided to leave because there was zero level of professionalism or service. As we were leaving the hostess was talking loudly to a waiter and he loudly exclaimed«well one of them went to the restroom!» as if this justified him never coming to our table. Very ghetto and unprofessional and I will NEVER go to this restaurant again.

Dieting is so hard when dining out. Not only was my egg white omelette with chicken and avocado fantastic, the calories and nutrition for the entire meal are listed on the website. The side of fruit was very fresh! Fast polite service from Anthony.

From the time I park and walked in it was so pleasant! Door was opened for me by a clean and polite gentleman with a pony. I was sat right away in the beautiful and smiley Nichole’s section. I ordered eggceptinal omlette with loaded parmesan potatoes. Fresh orange juice and great food that arrived at an exceptional time. I could not ask for more. but then the lovely manager came over to quality check me and my food with a hospitable smile in genuine concern. this is what dining is all about.

My first experience was not very satisfying. It was New Years and I was working off a hangover so I figured, biscuits and gravy to soak it up. The biscuits were dangerously hard even under the gravy. The potatoes were dry and cold and the eggs were very runny. I love some over easy eggs but wow they really were easy. I’ve tried the bacon turkey burger, which is awesome, along with a cup of potato soup, which is also excellent! Recommend. Eggs Benedict is perfect and the potatoes were much better the second time around.

I like breakfast. I get my omelet here Denver style. Ham veggies and cheese. It’s pretty good the eggs are fluffy. I get coffee, it’s hot, it gets the job done. English muffin can have a bit to much butter on it. But I tell them now little butter and it’s better. The only real downer is the MMA place next door, loud music can not be fun early in the morning. Don’t sit on the left side behind the register.

Food was very good, price reasonable. Jolie, the waitress, is even better! After moving to Houston from Chicago, this is my kids favorite place for breakfast!
