Tostada Regia

I am an avid Mexican food eater and this place is super good. I usually order their street tacos which are generous in portion and a great price, $ 7.50. Their menu is cheap: 3 – 10 $ for a meal. This is an authentic Monterrey style Mexican food. I highly recommend this place to anyone that love real Authentic Mexican food.

This place is authentic! I’ve been looking for legit Mexican food in Houston but haven’t had a lot of luck. But the food here is great! The service is excellent, friendly staff, and the overall feeling of the place is good.

Excellent Mexican food! Can’t go wrong with anything here. If it’s your first time you just get the tostadas! Excellent! Food quality is great too! Must try it!

This is by far the worse customer service I have received in a restaurant in my life. DO NOT GO HERE they are careless and never get the order right. They have literally gotten my order wrong about 10 times and I’m giving up on this place. Even when they say that they fixed my order it is still completely wrong they just wipe the cream off with who knows what and expect that to be fine., STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS FAR AS POSSIBLE!!!

Went for lunch and expected to have a simple but good Steak Quesadilla. Long story short, I was highly disappointed. The food was extremely plain, waiter was slow, and they never brought me chips.

I’ve been to this place like 50 times and the service has always been good and the food is excellent every time. I’m always hoping that they make a mistake one time so that I can point it out but so far this has not happened. It’s my wife’s and my favorite place to eat, if you go anywhere else for authentic Mexican food, it’s going to be more expensive and not as good, I guarantee it. It’s our favorite place to go eat. I just wish they opened one near my house. And as far as all those low ratings and negative comments that people post about this place I think it’s paid or done by Tostada Regia’s competitors, no doubt about it. My husband is from monterrey and we felt like we step into mexico when we walked through the door! The food was great! We had the tostadas and tacos pirata, we really felt in monterrey! Everything was delicious and the service was great! This will definitely be our go to place when we feel the urge for our country! Witch is every week! Lol! Amazing!

As a mexican l came to this place to try the tostadas and found with great surprise a small part of mexico in the food they serve, they have tacos, tortas, tostadas, enchiladas, if you are mexican you’ll love it
The food was awesome and the service was fast, like 10 min after we ordered, definitely will be coming back more often.

Been at this place about 25 – 30 times ever since I moved to this area. Love the price, the people r very friendly and on point, food is EXCELLENT! Get the tostada gigante w/​bistec. Definetly one of the best, but I’ve tried different plates and no complains. U must try it, I give it a 5 start– true authentic Mexican food.

First and last time eating at this place. Service was slow even though it wasn’t very busy, took forever to get the food, and they just forgot about me. I had to flag a bus boy down to pay my check. The food was ok but nothing special.

Ok so as far as Tex Mex goes, don’t come here. This is authentic Mexican food, and the menu doesn’t resemble that of a El Gringo or Chuy’s. I had the steak bistro tacos, and they were pretty darn good. Aesthetically the restaurant is very baren. The waitress was very nice and attentive. If you’re a picky eater, you may have a hard time with the menu.

I finslly decided to stop by once I received a coupon for a BOGO breakfast burrito. I showed up just after they stop serving breakfast, but they were nice enough to accept the to-​go order anyway. The order was made uo quickly and I was on my way. Once I got home I tried out the red and green sauce. The red sauce with chili flakes will give you a good punch. Too much heat for the average person. The green sauce starts sweet then leaves a good burn. I just stuck to my own salsa. I ordered the Big Joe burrito which was just a big burrito with the standard bacon egg cheese been and potato. The tortilla was definitely fresh, much appreciated. At $ 4.25 ish, not a bad price. My wife on the other hand wanted sausage too. They didnt argue. But when I got a look at it… it was a flipping hot dog… yes…a breakfast burrito with hot dog… w…t…f…Other than that the food was good, but the rest of the lunch /​dinner foods look extremely good and legit.

Wow! Awesome food! We love this place! Their beef tostadas and street tacos are delicious… We’ll be back! Tasty charo beans.

Today I came in for a couple of breakfast burritos. They are quite good but I was charged 2 extra dollars because it was after 11 and then an extra $ 1 for onions. This isn’t the first time I’ve ordered them with onions but the first time I’ve been charged. So I guess I won’t be coming for breakfast after breakfast hours and now if I want a burrito I will go to Poblano’s where they don’t charge for onions. Sounds petty but when you can get 3lbs of onions for a dollar across the street at Fiesta it just seems greedy on their part! In my opinion a burrito should have onions on it in the first place. Greed gets you nowhere and will make you lose customers. And for someone like myself who has eaten here 4 days out of the week just this week it’s bad business. So I’ll be skipping this place for a while. To bad because I really like it.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. The food was great and came out within minutes of ordering it. I will be comming back for seconds!

Was there last week and the food was AMAZING! So i decided to come back today… Oh no! What a HUGE disappointment. Everything was dry and tasteless. It looked as if they made it fast just to fulfill the orders but did not care about the quality at all!
The service was also super sloowww it took about 20 min for them just to take my order…
Will not be coming back. You just lost a good customer! :(

Siento mucho dar solo 2 estrellas no quisiera que lo tomaran como una queja si no solo como un llamado no tanto ala mesera si no al manager para que su reciente hubicacion sea exitosa ya que es un restaurante nuevo en esta area

Para ser breakfast pienso que la. comida deberia salir mas rapida ala mesera solo la vimos 2 veces al ordenar y al pedir la cuenta
Nunca recibimos las tortillas con el platillo y el syrup de los pancakes tampoco refill de café
Los meseros todos ocupados y el manager al frente solo observando
Pienso que no estan listos para recibir tanta gente
El ambiente es bueno y la comida no tan mala
Ojo pongan atencion que el negocio de restaurante requiere mucha dedicacion y esfuerzo

This has become one of my absolute favorite Mexican restaurants in the area by far. I must come at least once a week, though i may not check in partly because i am so excited about getting the delicious Tostadas in my belly.
I have gone to three other locations, and the atmosphere is always friendly, authentic, and clean. The food is consistenly good. I do not recoomend taking the tostadas to go if you have a long commute until you devour them1 they will get soggy. needless to say, i still ate them.
The nortenitas are my go to plate, with trompo meat or bistek. The chicken is pretty good as well but with all the veggies piled on high you tend to loose the flavor of the chicken so i take the saltier route

The Enchiladas Nortenas are AMAZING. never over sauced, or over indulging like other enchiladas. The soups are all amazing, for the less authentic folks, they chicken soup comes bone in– ive noticed this to be a sort of turn off for my Anglo friends. Overall this place is a solid gem in my book. You can get a hardy meal under 10 bucks, and have left overs for a late night craving.
Also, the chips and salsa come with little spoons to avoid double dipping.
This place is underrated and completely fantastic!

I ordered the enchiladas, these are traditional not tex mex so some folks may not like them, they have queso fresco with onions. They did not disappoint. The hot sauce they offer is good too. Hubby ordered a tostada. It’s huge and comes with an extra tostada on top so one can finish it off. He ended up eating the tostada with chips since it was difficult to eat, but he enjoyed it. The waters were good but they may have been powdered flavored.

This place sucks, mediocre food, tortas are ok, but don’t order caldo de res it’s too salty and the meat is too dry, don’t order chicken soup same as last, don’t order either enchiladas norteñas they are so diferent than the picture on the menu actually they are flat i can’t even taste the cheese on them, they are just tortillas alone.
Last week we order guacamole as appetizer, we ordered again today and it was so diferent the portion was like 90%less than last week.
