Tommy’s Mesquite Kitchen

Not a fan! Placed a $ 77 order for my office — 2 of the meals came to us under-​cooked. Called to discuss and let the manager know, thought he might ‘want’ to know. Not so much. Bacon came on a BLT that was gray/​white and not edible, fried shrimp were fried on the outside, raw on the inside. Spoke with Joe, the Owner, he said, ‘I guess you like your bacon crispy’. REALLY!!! No, I said, just cooked and edible. Sad day for this place when the Owner doesn’t even care about Customer Service, nor offered to make it right, what an example for his employees. Joe, the Owner, must have been having a bad day. Sad really, we ordered from them frequently.

Like BBQ? Like gas stations? Then kill 2 birds with one stone. Fill up your car and you belly simultaneously. I don’t know why anyone would complain about the food here, it is top notch BBQ!

These guys are pathetic.
What is my issue with them? I ordered a drink with ice in it and they put 90% ice and 10% drink. The next time I ordered, I said no ice. These boneheads sent my drinks in smaller cups.
If their business is determined to cut corners like that over something so stupid, it makes me wonder how they cut corners in the quality of their food. I will not be ordering again.
I had to write about this because, in my history of takeout, this is the first time I have had this done to me. That is how extreme these guys are. There are nice religious people out there and then there are extremists. These guys are the extremists.
I can only imagine other ways they try to save money:
«Reuse the grease from yesterday.»
«There is still a little egg white left in the egg.»
«Quick!!! We are about to open! Change the expiration dates on the meats!
«The water is not dirty enough. We can use that water tomorrow to clean the floor again»
«Go get some dead squirrels from outside. We can substitute it. No one will know.»
«Same thing with grass in the salad.»
«He wants no ice? Give it to him in a smaller cup.»
Do you guys get it now???

I love their burgers, I have never had one I didn’t like. They are good size and don’t skimp on the produce.
I did added grilled onions to mine today and it made the bottom bun very soggy but the flavor of the burger and fries were excellent.

My friend (who had been here before) suggested this as a lunch place. The location is on the side of the freeway and pretty close to many companies around the area. The restaurant itself is pretty small but there’s a very nice deck area where you can eat outside. There was a pile of firewood and thought it was creative of them to decorate the place with the wood. Not sure if the wood was on sale too. I ordered the chicken hoagie and I was really excited to try it. The sandwich was cheesy and you could definitely taste the smoked flavor in the chicken. The sandwich had grilled onions, mushrooms, and provolone cheese. The only minus about the sandwich was that the chicken was lacking some salt. Other than that I really enjoyed it.

I got the grilled chicken sandwich today and it was awesome. The staff is very friendly. I will be back very soon!
