Everything is great here except the hibachi entrees. Sushi is amazing! Highly recommend!

The best sushi in Houston! They have limited hours but when they are open they are always packed. I always get the cowboy roll which is steak cream cheese fried jalapeño rolled up into a sushi roll and the California crunch roll. The miso soup is definitely a good starter for me too. One knock I would have is that this place has a particular waitress who doesn’t really like checking up on us. Nonetheless this place still gets a 5 star rating from me.

First let me say I don’t know anything about Sushi. I thought all Sushi was about raw fish, but our polite and knowledgeable server, Rebekah directed me through the extensive menu to choices that I really enjoyed. And so it turns out I like Sushi. And because I received such kind and professional service from Rebekah I will return.

This is the first place I ate in Houston and still, 7 years later, my favorite. Generous portions, super fresh fish, great selections. Becca, my favorite server, always makes sure I get terrific service and is very helpful in making choices from the menu.

Best sushi in Clear lake area. Don’t miss their Cici Roll. Comparing other sushi restaurants in the nation, this small place on Clear Lake hold their candle.

Just finished eating here with my fiancé and we were very displeased with the service here. We walked in and were seated within a couple minutes. We waited 15 minutes before someone came to take our order. I ordered what I thought was 4 pieces of avocado rolls. When they came out, our waiter Rebekah, came out with a platter of 32 avocado rolls. I told her that was way too many and that I only wanted 4 pieces, but she kept insisting I take the rest home and made the whole situation uncomfortable for me. I ended up paying $ 17JUST for sushi that I didn’t even want. The whole thing could have been avoided if she explained the difference between the two different avocado rolls on the menu more clearly. Why would anyone want to eat that much sushi to begin with?! I won’t be returning here. Left frustrated after paying $ 54 for terrible service.

Parking: Restaurant is located on the side of the shopping center and shares a large parking lot with other stores in the area. The problem is that the parking lot that is right in front of the restaurant is one way. So if you go the wrong way, you have to exit onto the street to get back in. I usually just park in the front of the shopping center to avoid the hassle of exiting, making a U-turn, and then heading back into the shopping plaza.
Time and Day: Came on a Saturday at 6:25PM and restaurant was about 60% full and was immediately seated for a table for two. Food: First thing to notice is that the number of sushi rolls is huge(over 40 options here). So you have many options to choose from among this huge list. For dinner, we ordered a Canada Roll($ 8.50), Volcano Roll($ 8.00), and the Green Dragon Roll($ 15.25). The Canada Roll was really plain and mediocre. It only has crabstick tempura, spicy salmon avocado, smelt roe, and no sauce with it. I recommend not getting this one because of little flavor. So if you were to give me a blind test between this and the California Roll, I wouldn’t really taste the difference. Canada Roll gets a 2⁄5. Volcano Roll was also mediocre. The baked mayo’s texture reminded me of melted cheese that has been out for several hours and was underwhelming. I have tasted much better volcano rolls but at a higher price so maybe for $ 8.00, this volcano roll is okay. It gets a 3⁄5. As for the Green Dragon Roll, it is pricy but delicious. It is a larger roll with spicy tuna, yellow tail fish, and asparagus on the inside. Then it has spicy salmon with miso sauce on top of it. This was my favorite roll of the night. If you haven’t tried this roll yet, I recommend just to try it once just to have the chance to say«Hey I tried that awesome Green Dragon Roll!» I probably wouldn’t get this roll every time I come here because it is pretty expensive(I can get two cheaper rolls for this price on the menu). Overall, this roll gets a solid 5⁄5. I only wish it was just cheaper! Service: Once I entered the restaurant, the owner(I think it is the owner) guided me to our table and our waiter rushed over to us(like he literally speed walked to me) and asked me about drinks. After the food came out, the waiter did asked us if the food was good and checked on us every now and then so I say the service is excellent so it gets a 4⁄5. Price: Price seems justified for the rolls here. The cheap rolls(around $ 8.00) seem decent but the delicious ones cost almost twice as much. So the prices are reasonable. Overall: Restaurant has a huge list of different sushi rolls while their food and service is above average. Restaurant gets a 4⁄5.

Love going here for lunch. They are close to work so it’s pretty convenient and the food is great. Note — they are closed on Monday’s. My favorite choice is their bento boxes. I usually get box F that comes with shrimp tempura. Sometimes I’ll get all vegetable tempura. It also comes with miso soup, rice, salmon and tuna sushi and a California role. Very filling. Their salmon is the freshest I’ve had in the area.

Really great menu, service, and food! Menu is diverse and interesting. Really good quality. Great place for date night. It would be nice if they had a little bit more spacing between tables!

There are tons of servers and chefs here. It almost seems like they were overstuffed for a Wednesday night even if there was a good crowd. There was no wait for a table thankfully. There’s a decent number of people ordering takeout here too. Pretty fresh fish here makes for pretty good sushi. Bento boxes aren’t that great. I’d rather go to Masa Sushi if I’m in the NASA area though.

Forgot this placed existed, but my brother, his friend, and I decided to have dinner here last Friday. We came around 8 pm, and the restaurant was packed. We did have to wait a while for our food, but it was well worth it! One week later, my brother and I decided to take our parents. Friday night seems to always be packed. Once again, we did wait a while for our orders, but the food was well worth it. Maybe we’ll end up here again next Friday night to try the other sushi rolls on the menu. :)

Whenever I’m in the Clear Lake area, stopping by Tokyo Bowl is a must. Even if I’m trying to watch what I eat, the Cici Roll just calls to me! The wait staff is always quick and attentive and there are plenty to choose from whether you like cooked or raw sushi, or no sushi at all! We like the agedashi tofu to start with and I typically always get a house salad with the miso dressing before diving into some rolls. I also like that they have Uni(sea urchin) in stock since other places I go to are always out. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the tables are soooo close together! We were practically having a conversation with the family next to us which is always awkward having to watch what we say with other people’s children practically within arm’s reach. When our food came out, they were close enough to see it and make comments amongst themselves(which of course we heard! Luckily they were just telling eachother how good it looked). That’s just too close for comfort; I don’t know about everyone else but I need space to eat and have a private conversation.

This was another stop based off Unilocal Rewiews. I ordered a dinner special which included miso soup, salad, and chicken teriyaki with vegetables. I also ordered a Philadelphia Roll. The miso soup was very good. I can see myself ordering the soup for akeout. My salad was comparable to other Japanese restaurants and my chicken teriyaki was pretty good. My only complaint is my Philly roll. Instead of salmon, cream cheese, and avocado, they do a combination of salmon, white onion, and cream cheese. The onion overpowered the salmon and just left me with a horrible taste. I would not order it again. The wait staff was attentive and very accommodating. My dining experience was pleasurable and the restroom was very clean.

So Uhhhm I was in the area, and decided to give this place a try. First off, the restaurant parking was Kind of small and parking was scarce. I had to park all the way to the end of another restaurants parking lot. Can’t remember the name of the roll I got but it wasn’t all that good. I didn’t like it, and it was rather small for the price in comparison to other sushi places I’ve been to. The atmosphere was ok… The tables looked very cramped together. Almost no, or very little privacy that’s how close they are. The man at the register wasn’t very helpful with the menu, and just seemed very hasty. All in all I didn’t enjoy the food or experience.

So far it’s my favorite place in town! Had a very warm atmosphere and the food was beautiful! The customer service was great and the menu excellent. I had the chicken teriyaki and shrimp dumpling bento box and was very pleased

So amazing! Why did I not look into this place a month before we are getting ready to move! Great service. Sushi was super fresh and a nice size. Huge selection of food. The crab rangoo was the best I have ever had. The dumplings were mouth watering. Caterpillar Roll, French Quarter, and Alise were super good. I would say French Q was my favorite. For dessert we got the fried Oreo and green tea ice cream! OMG haha Well be back!

For a Tuesday night, this place was surprisingly very crowded. There seemed to be a bit of disorganization at Tokyo Bowl. My friend and I sat down and a waitress took our drink order. One minute later, another waitress came and asked for our drink order. About three different waitresses asked for our food order after we had already ordered. You would think that having 4 servers was a good thing, but I was left with no drink refills all night long :(We also got the wrong check at the end of the night. However, despite the disorganization, the servers were nice. As for the food, we ordered the cici roll, royal roll, and the chips loin. Out of the three rolls, cici roll was my favorite, but it was nothing extraordinary. The chips loin had a distinct orange taste which I wasn’t a big fan of. The royal roll was HUGE, but wasn’t very tasty(there was a lot of avocado).

I have lived out of town for a while, now, and this place no longer makes my short list of places I need to visit when I come home. My brother will always ask, «Tokyo Bowl?» and I have to say«Meh.» Ever since the expansion, it has gone generic. The fish cuts are still good, but the menu now focuses on the Americanized specialty rolls full of mayonnaise and spices. With sushi, I think the fish should stand for itself, with a tiny bit of wasabi and great rice. Don’t get me wrong, Tokyo Bowl still does that, but they cater more to the Clear Lake crowd than presenting their own specialties. Tempura fried Oreos kind of says it all…
