One of few Timmy Chans around Houston, this is not the original one but still offers mediocre food and very low prices. I’m not going to type out another review on this because somehow at some time a certain administration deleted it, so here is the replacement.

I have been to so many Timmy Chan restaurants and this is a good one! Not the best I have been to. The chicken was good and it came with a fried biscuit!

I have been on the search for a chinese take-out place since I moved into the area last summer and since my go-to closed down some months ago. I wanted to like this place, I truly did but no, no, no. Everything tasted the same as if, HORROR, they cooked/fried it all in one place. The fries were good, there’s that though.

Ordered here for the first time since my friend had recommended something good. I went through the driveway as I was in a rush and my friend was ordering. He was curious as how much was a water and later asked how much was a can of soda. The lady was rude. She replied«I already told you it was(how ever many cents it costed)» RUDE. Food was good but service is the reason why I’m giving 3 stars.

HORRIBLE, NASTY, DIRTY, PLACE!!! Ate there today, the shrimp fried rice taste like smoked fried rice. It taste as if the pot they cook it in was once burned. They hate giving napkins and ketchup. Free refills, forget it, after you spend over $ 20 bucks in there, a refill is out of the question! Will never eat there again!

I’ll get straight to the point… the hunan beef wasn’t bad, but you could tell the beef was poor quality, but I had the egg drop soup and I am serious when I tell you it was the nastiest soup I have ever tried. I write lots of reviews and I don’t think I have ever used the term nasty, but that is how bad it was… it was thick and poured out slow when i got rid of it. I’m sorry I can’t be more articulate for this review but this is good as this review is going to get.

The 2piece fish with shrimp is good. They bring your food to your car which is good instead of me just waiting in line. Way to go customer

Do you eat for quality of quantity, that is thine question. Sure $ 20 of food from here is enough to feed a small island nation but is it any good? Well for the most part no, allow me to explain. Sure you get 12 wings and rice for $ 6 — which on paper sounds great but the execution of this reminds you why it’s so dirt cheap. My son’s nuggets and fries were fine, actually pretty good — he didn’t eat much but ended with a resounding 2 year old chant of «yucky». However this is the only food we saved. The notion of General Tso/Tao’s wings sounded awesome, in reality it’s like sweet gingery soy sauce and the wings are pretty darn gamey tasting or old who knows. Everyone raves about this so called delicious shrimp fried rice($ 2.59 add on) it’s total crap, bait sized shrimp tasting fishier than fish, funky fishy taste permeated the whole thing, 2 bites and it got unceremoniously tossed in the trash, heck the plain fried rice with the better half’s wings was 10x better albeit standard Chinese lunch special fried rice style(ie, egg, soy, rice). Will admit their buffalo wings are pretty good, subtle spiciness eventually catches up with you, these are about the only thing I *might* order again, it’s not traditional buffalo wing sauce by any means but I guess what buffalo sauce fused with a cheap Chinese buffet might taste like. I also was made to feel like a criminal for paying with a credit card, you have ID? Drivers license? Sure, okay?!? Alright so if you want a lot of food on the cheap, it might be okay(if very drunk) but if you want something that isn’t going to upset your stomach, and tastes better you’re better off at really any other wing place. One and done on this one, and my stomach will thank me.

The other day my co-worker and I were talking about fried chicken while eating at popeye’s during their two piece tuesdays special. And we talked about why, can’t you get a good cheap chicken meal other days of the week and we both were like we need to visit timmy chans! So when we were hungry today, we drove to the nearest location. I must say this is one of the cleanest locations I have ever visited. It is spotless in the dining area. The inside was actually quite cool. I had the wing and shrimp fried rice special. I added in one of their sweet kool-aids too. Their combo is so much food. I eat a lot and I could not finish it all. It comes with 6 full wings, so 12 buffalo wings. And a full container of shrimp fried rice. This will give me my Asian Soul Food fix!

Just know if you eat here you get what you pay for… I went to get Chinese tried Beef and broccoli, which was more like lots of broccoli and a little bit of beef. What’s up with that I’m not a vegetarian! So not the place to come if you like Good Chinese. If you notice most like the cheap fired chicken and rice.

Yo, don’t get it twisted. This place is DABOMB. I mean who can beat 3 legs with fried rice and a biscuit for $ 1.99. This is how I get down when I am short on the benjamins. When I wanna be fancy, I buy 4 wings for $ 3.99. Their fried chickin is better than yo mama’s. I love this. No need for heating up grease at home. No cooking, flipping chickin. Just straight out eating good cheap food. Don’t hate.

Chicken fried rice and a couple of egg rolls. Yum! I used to frequent the one off of Scott street growing up. You still get a huge amount for cheap and the chicken tenders are the size of raquet ball raquets! Have never had anything beyond those two items, but since this place is near my work ‘hood, I’ll be trying it out. ***Egg rolls are the«real» ones and don’t have the overbearing ginger smell and taste!

First impression… revamped chicken shack! No cars in the parking lot at 12:30 pm on a work day, possibly a challenging situation for the ol’ digestive tract?. Final and most important impression is this… very friendly staff! Fresh food and tons of it! I will be back again for another mid day Chinese craving!
