Just got a great haircut from an experienced lady. Very sweet and you don’t have to worry aboit your haircut. she’s been in hair cutting for 20+ years. Thanks to Unilocal,i was able to visit and will be one of the regulars. nice hair cut with hair wash for $ 10. That’s was great!!!

Thuy originally struck me as abrasive, but she knows what she’s doing and she successfully wrangled my five-​year-​old son into one of his best haircuts. Highly recommend this shop for a solid men’s/boys cut.

Thuy is so awesome! She’s very friendly, super efficient and knows what you want. She’s being cutting hair for over 28 years. It’s your small neighborhood friendly hair salon. I’ve met people who have been going there for over 15 years and they make a drive of at least 30 minutes just to get their haircut from her. She provides great customer service and she loves conversing with her customers. If you’re unsure of what you want, she has great suggestions that always turn out looking fantastic.

Boyfriend was looking around for a last minute haircut. We looked up cheap Barbars around our area that were open at the time. (It was around 6pm) We noticed thuy’s hair designs was open and close to where we live, so we called her and asked if we could do a last minute haircut. (They closed at 6:30) she was really nice and said it was okay to come in.
When you are first driving here, it can be easily passed up because of how small it is. It is also next door to a gas station.
When we walk in, there is a Vietnamese lady working on a guys hair. I was surprised because I thought «Thuy» was gonna be a guy, lol. It was a pleasant surprise though because she was so friendly and sweet. She really knew how to keep a convo flowing, even with her accent. She really listened to what my boyfriend wanted to do with his hair (his hair is really difficult to style and cut) .
He usually goes to his normal guy in sugarland, but he wasn’t there today so he had no choice but to try somewhere else near my side if town.
Even though it was past 6:30, she carefully took her time to cut /​trim/​style his hair. She wasn’t rushing like most hair stylists I’ve come across in that type of situation. I loved how she stopped once in while to ask my boyfriend if he’d like a certain part of his hair cut shorter or left longer.
The result was great! My boyfriend really loved it, something he never says when he tries random barbers in my area. Haha. Everything was cut so precisely. The total with shampoo was $ 10.
He ended up tipping her $ 20, which he rarely does.
I can’t say much about women’s hair since I haven’t witnessed or done it myself, but if you are looking for a cut with shampoo, and you are a woman it’s about $ 12.
I definitely recommend trying this place if you are a guy needing a cheap cut for good quality!

My friends, family, and I have been going to Thuy for over 20 years. Mens haircut with shampoo is still only $ 8! Walk-​ins are welcomed but I recommend that you book an appointment with in advance because there’s usually a wait for Thuy.
