Derian was a wonderful server! I love the food at The Egg and I, but prior to today I have ALWAYS had lousy service. My previous experiences were in Arizona, not here, but because of those experiences, I was less than enthused to eat here when invited by my sister. Great food and great service started my day on such a positive note. Thank you.

Four stars for the food, two for the service. It was an hour before closing and the server had already checked out. He didn’t offer the options for the side item; grits, home fries, or fruit. I guess the home fries was closest to the cook when my meal was played because that’s what I got. Butter on toast must be optional, even when you buy it, cause mine arrived dry. Ordered with extra hollandaise sauce on the side; the word extra got lost. Starting about 35 minutes before closing the priority switched to completing side jobs like refilling the sugar and jam containers. The only time I saw him after he started on those tasks was when he left the check on the table. Too bad, because the Hiker’s Benedict was excellent. Eggs done right, sauce was nice and the thick cut bacon crispy!

I like this place. Always order the same thing Veg. Eggs Benedict. Fruit with Earl Grey tea. Meet all my clients here because it is cheap and good quality and quantity of food. Between Waffle House, IHOP, Denny’s(never will go there), this place is a blessing. If they added more Southwest dishes for their lunch items. It would be a dream come true.

I eat at this restaurant 2 or 3 times a week. The breakfast menu has a very good variety and everything that I have tried has been good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I would and have recommended this restaurant to anyone looking for a great breakfast.

The service here comes no where near the original Egg and I in Colorado. To wait 20 min while youre seated at the table on a Wednesday morning while the restaurant is not even half way full is ridiculous. The waitress offered us a sample of the new fresh squeezed juices, we never got them. The coffee was cold. The manager did take 50% off of our ticket but its doesnt make up for the poor service.

How do I even begin to describe my horrid experience… Any who, as we are walking up to the hostess desk I notice a man standing at the register paying who had a pistol in his back pocket. I understand open carry laws are now in effect here in Texas; however, they clearly have a sign posted stating they are not an open carry establishment. Like with anything I don’t expect people to obey the laws but I do expect these same establishments to have protocols in place. When I reported it to the cashier she went and mentioned it to another coworker but never once reported it to a manager. I’m no genius and I noticed so maybe their wait staff needs to be a little more aware and alert of the possibilities of these idiots walking into their establishment. I’ll stop though because that’s a topic for another day… At this point you’re probably wondering why I didn’t leave; well it’s because I FREAKIN love the Cordon Bleu Skillet. I love it so much I’d actually risk getting shot just to eat it. So besides the gun situation and lack of importance stressed by their staff the service was TERRIBLE. Our meal was placed on 2 other tables until I finally expressed myself rather loudly they were wrong again and that food was ours. Overall, even though I almost got killed(not literally), had to eat germ infected food, and had to deal with a rude waitress named Nikki; I will probably return. Also to remind people a Tip actually means; to insure promptness. Yup, no tip left and I have no cares to give about it!

I love eating breakfast here. It’s a very nice restaurant. The plate portions are very large, so be careful not to over eat! ;) the only downfall it the long wait times on weekend mornings. They do sell lunch items, unfortunately I haven’t tried it. I’m definitely going to make a point to come for lunch one day.

My husband and I love it here. This is one of their biggest locations(I was told by staff). My favorite thing to order is their waffles! I love their omelets especially the custom section is a bit cheaper. My husband loves to try different items on the menu but I believe the meat omelet is his favorite. I do love the atmosphere because it feels like your going downstairs to have breakfast at your family’s house with all your family. We feel its worth the pact lines and you get free coffee while you wait.(Great coffeee) We have our breakfast dates here. Oh and me and the lady friends have get togethers here like every other month. Great place.

Worst place to grab breakfast. Turn back. Not only did we wait an hr for our food, it came out cold. I don’t care for cold eggs. My cousin’s food came out wrong not once but twice. He ended up not eating anything after the 2nd screwed up order. The waitress didn’t even apologize and had the audacity to bring the menu to show us that his order didn’t have meat in it, however on the menu it stated pork. Instead of explaining the food she just mumbled something that there is not meat even though it says meat. With 2 toddlers waiting to eat you would think they would bring out their food first. What 2 yr old can wait an hr for eggs? Horrible service. Horrible food. I would give this place less than 1 star if i could.

This place has REALLY gone down hill in the last 6 months making me think that they have changed ownership maybe? The hostess when we used to come was super nice, now they are terribly rude, the service is CRAZY slow and the food waaaaaaay below sub-par even for a small diner like this. We have been coming here for over 2 years and I can honestly say that this will be my last time here. The eggs are watery, the waffles are soggy, food is pretty bland. Sad to see something that was so fun and great to go to turned into… This.

Food was not good and service was worse. Waitress was nice at first then during conversation she realized we were a interracial couple. She no longer addressed him only myself, checked my coffee and not his, and gave me the ticket and made contact with me said thank you. She completely ignored my better half during the dining experience. No a tip was not left we were completely offended and disappointed.

First visit… not the concept the name had perpetuated in my mind! Overloaded menu with half being NON egg options. Ordered Corned Beef Hash with over easy eggs. The corned beef was small cubes of a tasteless«meat» with potatoes at a rate of 90 – 10, potatoes to beef. My «over easy» eggs were inconsistent, one runny yolk and one hard. The ONE thing you should nail at an Egg establishment, is the Egg! Establishment was clean, staff and service were good and prompt. Not a place I will drive to or seak out in the future.

My first and second time at the Egg & I Kendall was an amazing server. I love the Egg Bendedicts and Frittatas. They are very consistent with food and the servers are very attentive. This restaurant knows what they are doing. I really would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

Both the food & the service here are inconsistent. When it’s good, it’s very good, but sometimes it’s much less than good. They seem to have trouble keeping good servers – don’t think I’ve ever had the same one twice. On my last visit, the service was slow & inaccurate: I love the Athena Scramble, but the feta in the hot eggs was like tiny little blocks of ice & they gave me the wrong coffee & took forever to replace it. My server was very sweet & obliging but slowwww & hard to find when we needed anything. It will be a while before I come back. Maybe next time it will be better.

I think I got food poisoning from here. I got the blueberry pancake which was huge, but part of the way through I noticed it was raw. Not just raw but I swear it was the whites of the eggs. I just figured it would be okay since people taste cake batter and cookie dough. I just stopped eating it. I was wrong and regret it. I won’t be going back.

Always good food. consistent Oops! I started this review a while back and I guess it went to a draft rather getting submitted. Anyway, just wanted to say that the Egg & I restaurants have always been good no matter which one I end up in. The food is very tasty. The staff is always top notch.

The food was average. I had a sandwich and a side salad and it was kind of just thrown all over the plate. The service was very slow and it doesn’t look that busy inside. We had to repeat our order many times for him to get it right and part of it was still wrong when it came out. If you’re looking for a nicer place for lunch or breakfast, this isn’t it. This is just a step up from fast food.

I don’t think I’ll be back by choice. It’s an IHOP with a different name. The patio was nice and the food was average. Waiter was trying but still got the order wrong and had to bring out silverware twice because he didn’t count the 5 of us right the first time. I got the chicken and avocado omelet. Again, average. It was covered in cheese and had barely any chicken inside. I liked that it came with fresh fruit and nothing was bad but not great either. Reasonably priced and good for kids and families.

Never been anywhere else where you can quench your hunger with the portions they serve and the price is perfect. Did I forget to mention the food is delicious as always. Right around the corner from the house and a hop, and a skip away from deliciousness.

I stopped by Saturday morning for a quick meal, it was my first time here but I had always wanted to try it! We chose a booth and our waiter greeted us immediately, which was nice. I can’t remember his name but he definitely got a nice tip from us — his service was excellent! He was nice and suggested some items for us since we hadn’t been there before. I chose the Mexican skillet and my boyfriend chose the bacon chicken avocado(?) sandwich from the lunch menu. We waited a reasonable time for them to come, and we were satisfied with the portions. The skillet is a very big portion, at least for myself, but it was very tasty. I love chorizo and the ingredients were fresh and yummy. It has black beans, ranch potatoes, and some other things. I took what I didn’t eat home with me and when I let my dad eat it, he also said it was good! Because we were first timers, we got a coupon with a surprise that we won’t know until we come back again — very neat reward system! The restaurant itself didn’t have the most amazing interior design but the tables are clean and the servers try to meet your needs as much as possible. Definitely want to come back and try something new from the menu!
