Staff is friendly and welcoming but that’s where the positives end. Food is mediocre at best, the taste is often flat lacking flavor. I’ve tried this place 2 different times, a total of 4 dishes as me and my girlfriend split entrees. The amount of food you receive is about half that of other Chinese places in the same area. The interior smells like mold and is quite drab. Overall not a good experience and would pick any other local Chinese resturants. This is houston you have many other better choices.

GLUTEN. FREE. THAI. That’s enough to get me excited, even if the food was mediocre(it wasn’t). Husband hadn’t had Thai in literal years since having to switch his diet in 2012. We were so excited when my parents, who live in the area, got a flyer that said most meals could be made gluten-free with the substitution of gluten-free soy sauce. I have passed by this place for almost my entire life but have never been in(it used to be Sawadee years ago). The interior is small but not cramped. Husband had the basil beef and was happy as a clam. I got the pad thai, spicy with pork, and it was pretty delightful. I’m impressed. With so few choices for date night thanks to dietary restrictions, this one’s shooting near the top of the list.

I have had a lot of Thai food in my time, and I really like this restaurant. It doesn’t look very fancy, but the service is outstanding, the food is great and really fresh, and I always leave this place feeling good. Highly recommended.

This is a new restaurant in the neighborhood, and it had three good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. We ordered Pad Thai and Basil Chicken lunch specials, and took a Sweet & Sour Thai Chicken home for husband. The service is below average, because the waitress was watching TV, She did not come to check on us even once; Basil Chicken was also average, not bad. I won’t order Pad Thai again from this place again, it is hard to describe the taste, maybe a lighter version of sweet-n-sour sticky noodles? There was no egg, no onion, no soy sauce, Husband said there were 3 slices of chicken in his Sweet & Sour Thai Chicken. Lunch special comes with soup, soft or crispy roll. Soup and crispy spring roll were OK, but the soft spring roll. In general, Houston is lacking good Thai restaurants, This Thai Village is not as good as its predecessor Sawadee, but it is a quiet, and some may considered it is good for a $ 9 Thai food lunch special

I had Pad Thai and I really love it. Also, on the day that we have been there, they had a special dish called«mango fried rice» and my friend ordered it. It’s fabulous… we are coming back for it.

I swore this place was something else… but recently, while making a quick stop at the chase in the whole foods parking lot we were craving Thai and literally just walked on over here. When we got inside we realized it was a Thai Village, which is the same brand in Rice Village. From what I remembered, they were average. And this place was solid for the price and area. The service was on point even though there was just 1 guy working. He was quick and attentive. We ordered the lunch special chicken pad thai and chicken spicy basil. The pad thai was more sweet than tangy, no tomato flavor. It was more of a pad se ew flavor. The spicy basil sauce now was delicious. When they say spicy, they mean it. But it was a great balance of savory and spice, as opposed to just overwhelming burn your mouth spice. Get this dish if you like heat.
