Second time I’ve eaten here in 3 months for a work lunch. My last visit in October, I got a twice baked potato that was frozen solid. Then two more afterwards. Each time the manager was very apologetic and provided me with another and another until I ended up with mashed instead. This time, I ordered chicken fried sirloin with mash. My colleague jokingly told me to check the temp of the mash, and I laughed it off, until again, cold. The waiter notified the manager(same guy as last time), who once again was very attentive and nice about it. I asked if these were microwaved or heated in the oven, he insisted that they were made fresh at their restaurant. The chicken fried sirloin was lots and lots of batter/breading with not a lot of steak. This is sad that the poor manager has to apologize for the kitchen staff for the same thing twice, but in the end, I’m not sure I’ll return. Inside the restaurant is like a cave, and the cleanliness is a little lacking. Steaks were undercooked by one step. If you want medium rare, order medium.

We have always loved this place as a solid place for reliable good food. Tonight we went in at 6 p.m. And saw there were many empty tables but asked if we would like to sit in a booth in the bar. We agreed. Later, I went to the restroom and there were many empty tables, but guests were waiting for tables. We decided that they were short handed for wait staff but used the bar staff for dining. It was not good. Our bar tender was nice but was distracted with bar orders. There are many other spots in the area. We will not be back.

***** Update(11÷10÷15): Third times a charm! Although I kinda’ wonder if they went out of their way to make absolute sure all was perfect — man… the food was impeccably good! Glasses stayed full, food was cooked to perfection & flavored perfectly, kids were pleased, our waitress was extremely attentive(I do know her however), and the manager stopped by. I still don’t care for the little hostess at the front(she really needs an attitude adjustment), but overall this was a much better experience! Polar opposite from before! If — and that’s a very big IF — and when we decide to return, I’ll make sure to ask for our server and say many prayers for the same pleasant experience. Yesterday’s visit definitely set the bar for my expectations going forward… *****

I have been here several times, and I have not been disappointed. I normally come here for larger groups such as birthday parties and celebrations, but today I came with a couple of friends. The drawing point for me is the signature dish of smoked sirloin. I order it almost every time, and I really enjoy the flavor packed steak that must be cold smoked as I usually order medium rare. The fat is trimmed that leaves a small portion along the edge. This is important because I recommend you eat the small layer of fat as that is where all of the flavor is contained. If you cut it off, you will not truly appreciate the peppery, smokiness of the dish. What is a little fat when you’re eating red meat anyway? The rest of the meal was pretty standard with a baked potato and grilled asparagus. The other folks in my party enjoyed their meal, which is consistent with my other experiences here. The food here is consistent and tasty, but I highly recommend everyone try the smoked sirloin if red meat is your fancy.

TERRIBLE. Really? You feel good about charging those prices for that quality of a meal? We had rib eye for $ 20. OMG, thin as bottom of shoe. Tasted like it was boiled instead of grilled. Asked for medium & got well done. Guess it’s hard to cook w/something that thin. Service was barely average.

Everything was pretty good except for my main course the steak was ok but not as good as I cook. I know I have been spoiled because I’ve been buying great cuts of meat and I know how to do it but I expected more on the steak.

This place has really gone down hill. Ate here several years ago and it was outstanding, but it is clear that quality has been sacrificed to save money. I remember the wedge salad being very good but now the dressing was severely watered down and I think I had three specks of bacon on it. I was really looking forward to it and was severely disappointed. The ribeye was even more disappointing. I had no idea you could cut a ribeye so thin. It was literally ¼ inch thick. I’m sad to say that I will never be back.

Alright Unilocalers listen up! I just finished a great steak at this location, it was a nice quiet lunch with good personal service. I had a minor issue with my steak and the manager(Juan C.) showed up immediately with his cape flapping in the wind ready to save the day. Which he most assuredly did. A big thank you to everyone. I will be returning no doubt. Great customer service, period. Peace!

Food is blah-zay. Atmosphere is ok and service is a bit better than average. I think this placed is way overpriced for the quality of steak you get. You want a good steak, go to salt grass or outback for a much better experience. Texas land and cattle is a bit less expensive but the quality of meat is much better

Service was great. My waitress suggested the smoked sirloin(the house specialty) it was great. The brisket stuffed jalapeño where amazing. We went on a Thursday night around 6pm it it was not over packed and not wait.

I am hoping that this was just a case of not being prepared for the holiday rush. The Mac and cheese was bland and cold. My steak was too raw to finish, I must say that the flavor was good. Oh and did I mention that we got the rest of our food in enough time to add it to our to go box

Stay away, do not enter! This is one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We received a gift card for Christmas(such a waste of money) and on a rare«uneventful» Saturday evening decided to burn it. We sat at the bar while we waited for a table(another party of 2 was seated before us that had arrived after us) –the bar top was filthy, had not been cleaned since the last party sat in the same spot and the drink menu is average, the wine list is just what I expected to see at a chain restaurant. We had a drink at the bar, then were seated at a table with crumbs and food all over the seat from the last customers, which I cleaned off myself. I ordered a mixed drink, which was missing an ingredient, and at this point my husband was staying with a bottled beer just to guarantee he received the product he ordered. LOL! We ordered the appetizer that had(3) different types of dip on it-both the temperature hot dips were cold and the expected cold dip sucked. I ordered the peppercorn crusted ribeye(large cut), with house salad and jalapeño grits. I ordered blue cheese dressing for my salad, it was runny/watery with white chunks in it and smelled like throw up, and the steak was so rare, it looked like it had been seared for 15 seconds on each side, I had ordered it medium rare. The steak also appeared to be flattened, or something, like someone had put a heavy weight on it and smushed it for a few days. I ordered a second mixed drink and it came out with stuff that looked like chunk of butter floating in the bottom of the glass-I sent it back and was done with this crappy dining experience. We ended up with a $ 70 bill, all for disgusting, poorly prepared and presented food. Service was average to subpar. Let me repeat my warning once more: STAYAWAY, do not enter!!!

Our very first impression was that this is like Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse. Clearly a chain… décor, menu, and staff uniforms prove it from the start. Our waitress was very good and offered suggestions. No specials on the weekends which I was bummed about. Husband ordered smoked sirloin which is their specialty. He did now enjoy it. Think very expensive tender brisket with no BBQ sauce. I ordered filet mignon which I thought was excellent considering the price. Better than some I’ve had at nicer steak places. We shared the brownie and husband loved it. I thought it was just okay.

I did not like this place. It looks great from the outside but the food is well below average, at least what I ordered was. I bordered the chicks friend sirloin, and it was huge! Sadly, it was all bland breading to a below average dry sirloin that only filled 60% of the breading. The Brussels sprouts that i ordered on the side were average; there was nothing special about them. The mashed potatoes were very bland and again, dry! My husband’s twice baked potato, however, was fairly decent. The other thing that I ordered was the bourbon pecan pie. It was okay. The crust was terrible. It was not flaky at all. It was soft and powdery. The service… Not good enough.

I was very disappointed with this place. The staff was okay but not very attentive. We ordered smoked onion rings which were HUGE! They were good too. I ordered a 9 ounce sirloin and asked for it to be cooked well done. When I got it, it was bright red. I sent it back and they were very polite about it. But when I received the new steak, it had a lot of fat in it. I also got brussel sprouts, but they were disgusting and wilted and soggy. I have been to this place years ago and it was amazing, but it has clearly gone downhill.

I’ve been lucky to not have the terrible service everyone else speaks of, but I’ve only been in here twice during lunch during the week. It’s nicely decorated, the food isn’t terrible either. I had the brisket stuffed jalapeños to start and they were outstanding. Their lunch menu is reasonably priced as well. I guess roll the dice. If you get bad service leave and go to Saltgrass down the street.

So after driving around facing line after line at preferred restaurants Saturday night, we settled on this place since it was close and there was no line. I knew about the less than stellar reviews but was hoping they might be on their game on Saturday night. I should have known better. Walking in, there was no wait, and about a third of the dining room was still open. Considering every other place we were trying to get in had a wait list, this was a really bad sign. The simple menu boasts steaks, sandwiches, salads, tacos, and a few Texmex inspired dishes. We ordered Stacked Texas Nachos, Smoked Sirloin Cheesesteak, and the House Smoked Sirloin steak for our entrees as well as a few drinks. For our desserts, we ordered the cheesecake, pecan pie, and toffee pudding cake to go. The first snag of the evening was the waitress bringing out the wrong drink, blended instead of over ice. She blamed the bartender even though she knew what the drink was and didn’t double check. The complimentary bread that came out was decent enough. Our water came out in a carafe, handy when it comes to refills. The wait for the food was longer than I would have liked especially since it was not that busy, but it was doable. The star of the show, the House Sirloin Steak was delicious, tender, flavorful, and peppery with a nice pink center. Everything else though, was a huge disappointment. The Smoked Sirloin Cheesesteak, though recommended by the waitress, was abysmal. It resembled a small roast beef sandwich more than anything with its flavorless slices of beef and smear of white queso. The onion rings I opted for as my side were huge, like half an onion for each slice. They had a great crispy golden batter, but it wasn’t seasoned at all and came with a weird sour cream dipping sauce. The nachos were a huge serving of crisp light chips, but there was not enough cheese on them. Both were overpriced and not worth it at all. The waitress returned periodically, but she was slow as molasses. She forgot my dining companion’s drink order. She took forever to bring us the check. She never refilled the water carafe even though our glasses were emptied. I looked around the restaurant and there was not a manager on the floor, a very bad sign. The other waiters didn’t exactly look like the sharpest tools in the shed. As for the desserts we took home, the warm toffee pudding cake was delicious though very small. The pecan pie was quite yummy without being sickeningly sweet. The cheesecake was not cheesy enough, though the strawberry purée was a nice touch. Will avoid this place in the future, even out of desperation. Not worth the inflated prices, subpar food, and unattentive wait staff.

I wish I would have read these reviews prior to tonight’s dinner with a business colleague. Hmmmmm, where to begin, oh yeah«bad, really bad». Blue cheese dressing that was basically white water with a few crumbles of something resembling cheese. The rib eye was salted and peppered almost to the point of not being able to eat it. There were about 6 or 7 small pieces of mushrooms on it to the tune of $ 2.95. I believe the broccoli was from last week. Much of it had turned yellow, it was flavorless and tough. How do you screw up steamed broccoli? The service was good but the food was memorable; I’m sure I’ll have nightmares about it tonight. If I could have given no stars, I would have! Oh yeah, the bread was excellent!
